beckie90 · 21/02/2013 12:15

Abi mines at 1pm. I think I can already announce its a boy Haha did have a big girl feeling but my gut says boy. I'm also feeling quite well today so far, no migraines. Got midwifes today.

Well I recieved a perscription through post for 8 antibiotics a day, not stating what they was for. It turns out that it was from the gp I saw before epu who did no tests at all, so I've asked what they are for, he says I looked back over your records and saw u have group strep b, so its for that. So now I'm confused as my midwife said id just be treated in labour. So im going to have words with the midwife first as I don't wana take them if there not neccesary

Xx

MrsWajs · 21/02/2013 12:16

Haha Yvonney I am also ignoring MW advice on due date and sticking to my own, mainly because they are now saying 1st September!!! Does that make me the very last person on the list??
It won't matter anyway cus I'm having this baby on the 30th August (which probably still makes me the last person on the list, hmmmph) :)

Thanks for all advice on buggy boards and buggies. I am now currently bidding on a couple of icandy peach blossoms on ebay

Abilee90 · 21/02/2013 14:56

Beckie mine is at 3:40 :( gonna be stupidly excited all day lol.
I have feeling i'm gonna have another girl and my dh will be disappointed.
But then everything else screams boy even my gut. So confusing lol. Will just have to wait til sat lol.

Mrswajs i love the icandy peach blossom. Thats the one i want lol. Got to wait and see if we cam afford it :(

Hi everyone, welcome back locket welcome mrssmurfette I've just caught up on the thread - such a lot going on!

I'm showing massively now and have no choice but to wear maternity stuff. I'm only 5'1" and apparently we shorties pop out sooner cos there is less space. DH helpfully pointed out my ribs are liable to have to move out more too Hmm

It has given we the excuse to raid ASOS maternity and funmum though as I'm off on my hols tomorrow and had NO clothes... Grin
I'll try to keep up while I'm away...

Take care and hope aches and pains all go away for you all ThanksThanksThanks

RememberingMyPFEs · 21/02/2013 16:24

One more thing. DH keeps pointing out that Kate (ahead of me) has a tiny bump and I'm huge. I know it's not a judgement but it does upset me. I've asked him to stop and I'm sure he will, but AIBU to be sensitive about it?

FoofFighter · 21/02/2013 16:28

You are pregnant and therefore never BU Wink

I thought she had a sizeable bump actually, considering she's only around 4 weeks ahead of most of us.

OP posts:
RememberingMyPFEs · 21/02/2013 16:47

Thanks Foof. I am bigger than her in terms of bump size and def only one in there !!!

Some might be bloat ....Confused

FoofFighter · 21/02/2013 17:17

I'm finding that because i was a 16-18 before anyway, that the more bump grows, it is kind of pushing up fat with it so my bump looks bigger if that makes sense??

OP posts:
beckie90 · 21/02/2013 17:52

abi I'm worried about dp been dissapointed too although I fully know that once baby here he won't be botherd about what gender the baby is cause knows hel love it whatever. But I am worried while I'm preg he will feel slightly dissapointed. I was certain other week it was a girl even gut feeling but now I've seemed to change my mind as scan gets closer. Eeek less than 48hrs now.

Had my midwife appointment today mother insisted on taking me to the "doctors" (she still doesn't know) so I had to shove my maternity notes down my top Haha. Close 1 I panicked. Got to listen to little ones heartbeat, got told not to take the antibiotics for group b strep and she felt my tummy n said ooo it is flat isn't it, I thought I was just beginning to show last few days, feel so bloated everywere again xxx

Abilee90 · 21/02/2013 19:44

Beckie - my mum still doesnt know either lol. Bad huh, my mum in law insisted in taking me to docs when i had first midwife app lol. She didnt know then lol. Beckie i cant wait now so excited! Epp! I will be waiting to see what u post lol.

Its so blooming cold out brrr
Nothing to report here. Just having chill out night. Bean is on one today, hasnt stopped moving.

wavesandsmiles · 21/02/2013 20:11

Hi everyone

beckie and abilee do you have any idea when you are going to tell your mums? Must be so hard to keep it quiet!

I'm home from hospital but still poorly. Consultant has said my Hyperemesis simply isn't responding well to medication so I'm likely to be readmitted again which is really demoralising. He also thinks that as I am now over 17 weeks it may well continue throughout. So on discharge today the midwife was lovely and said to make the most of my time at home with the DCs and to get back up there when I get too dehydrated again. I'm not to bother with eating, focus is on fluids so warm flat coke is my menu. Bleurgh.

stacey212528 · 21/02/2013 20:15

Waves sending you hugs! Fingers crossed that the doctor is wrong and it gets better.

Hope everyone is well.

X

Abilee90 · 21/02/2013 20:16

Waves - my mum is in spain until april so no rush lol.
I hope you feel better soon huni, this much be so hard on you. I hate being sick. Its the worst thing for me.

Xxx

beckie90 · 21/02/2013 20:19

waves hoping soon I can't keep it quiet much longer, me and my mum are so close and I see her everyday, I've always told her straight away with my 2 children, but this time i just feel the big feeling that my parents are going to feel very dissapointed in me, even though they adore my ds's. And poor you hun, I really hope it does ease off a little for you, hugs Thanks xx

muddybloodypuddles · 21/02/2013 20:40

waves - poor you, sounds just horrible, really hope it doesn't last all the way through..

Remembering- she's a real skinny minny and has a team of experts to make her look good in the limelight - try not to compare yourself - as for DH next time he says it tell him to shut the up, tell him women have gotten away with murder due to be hormonal (I dont' know if they have but it sounds like a good threat) Wink - have a good holiday!

Had my 16wk appt today, MW couldn't find heartbeat very well and the doppler kept crackling, apparently something to do with the moisturiser I put on this morning?! Anyway, baby kept moving and when we did hear the heartbeat baby was posterior so it was quite faint. Used my own doppler when I got home (just to make sure) and heard it nice and loud... I've also been referred for physio as I apparently have PGP (pelvic girdle pain), it can be quite painful now so I hope it will help as I know the pain will prob get worse as the bump gets bigger - am also on a waiting list for antenatal pilates so that should help too.

Nightwish · 21/02/2013 20:53

I had 16 week appt today too.
Was fine, heard heartbeat which DS was very interested in.

Stopsittingonyoursister · 21/02/2013 22:02

waves so sorry to hear that you are still unwell. Have you got lots of RL support for your DC? Hope you manage to keep some fluids down Thanks

On other more trivial matters, Mamas and Papas at my local outlet store have buy one get one free on maternity and nursing clothes at the moment. I still use my M&P maternity stuff from DS 6 years ago, I find it keeps really well, and BOGOF makes it very reasonable value, I think.

17 + 0 today - just had to double check that!

MrsPennyapple · 21/02/2013 23:49

Sorry waves :( That sucks.

I have been getting twinges of pelvic girdle pain too. I had it a bit last time, but not too badly, and not this early. (I didn't actually know I was pg at this stage last time.)

DP is away for a few days, of course I'll miss him but I'm sooooo looking forward to having the entire bed to myself, and not being woken up by snoring.

16+3.

Abilee90 · 22/02/2013 07:17

Well sounds like we all have had a interesting few days, hopefully you stop being sick soon waves, pelvic gridel pain was terrible last preg for me the right side of my pelvic bond had slipped 2 inches down on that side and causing so much pain. Physio helped but be warned if it slipped my physio therapist pushedd up and it killed. Praying i dont get it again but guessing i will :( typical.

Whats the plans for weekend ladies?
I find out tomorrow! Yay!

Hi all. So sorry that I have not been around for such a long time. I'm 17 weeks now and haven't checked in since before my 12 week scan! I hope you are all doing fine, I have the day off today so going to catch up with everyone's news as much as I can!
Quick update: 12 week scan went fine, no NT tests. Stopped feeling sick about two weeks ago and then started with awful headaches, now got a chesty cough, sore throat and eye infection BUT I feel much more normal than I have since November! Had 16 week appt yesterday and heard a lovely heartbeat (had to ask for this, Midwife said they have stopped doing it). Worst news is that I am being made redundant. Never happened to me in 21 years of working and been with this employer 7 years! Had to pull out of House purchase so gutted isn't the word. Just trying to find out my Mat Pay eligibility.
Catch you all later, enjoy Friday x
