Hi everyone. SIL came round yesterday and said "ooh, you ARE starting to show aren't you?" Hmm. So apparently I am showing. Was absolutely knackered yesterday. All I did was take DD out for a walk, we went to the park with her in the pushchair, and then walked round the pond with her on the reins. We only got as far as going down one side of it, as DD (19mo) insisted on touching every daisy and crocus along the way, it took AGES. Nice to see some flowers starting to come through though, and the day had a real Spring smell about it.

Abi, if it's any consolation we don't have a decent Chinese takeaway nearby, we have two crappy ones though. We don't even bother going any more, except the odd time when I forget, and think "Ooh, haven't had Chinese for ages!" so we get one and wish we hadn't bothered. So disappointing.

LouiseD29 · 16/02/2013 12:30

Abilee, I am going to go through my wardrobe today and pack everything away that I know I'm not going to be able to wear for (at least) the next six months to a year and figure out what I'm working with! It's taking me forever to get ready in the mornings at the mo because I no longer know what fits! But I really want to avoid splashing out on loads of maternity wear.

I can feel a very slight bump across lower belly, but you can really spot it yet if I'm in my normal clothes.

Christelle2207 · 16/02/2013 12:59

Hope people are feeling better.

I've finally got rid of my cold and definitely feeling better than I have done for a long time, yey! Still no movements though.

I saw consultant the other day (because of thyroid) which was fine and she got the Doppler out and I heard his heartbeat for the first time which was so reassuring, just waiting for the movements now, I feel strange sensations going on but not movements iyswim so concentrating hard when I get to bed at night.

Definitely a small bump here, bought bigger size trousers about a month ago and they're already getting tighter so out to look for mat clothes this pm. Gerry excited about seeing a good friend next week, who is now 20 weeks, lives miles away so don't see her very often.

So pleased the weather has improved, can't wait for clocks to change and the arrival of spring!

16+1.

muddybloodypuddles · 16/02/2013 13:22

Definite bump here too :)
don't say 2nd babies are bigger!! My DS was 8lb 13lb and came on his due date!!! I dont' want another big one Shock - that was painful enough thanks.

15+5

Abilee90 · 16/02/2013 14:51

I live and die in leggins as i have a bad knee and jeans rub it and make it hurt even. So its dresses and tops with leggins. No bump but can feel where my uterus is and feel bean moving.

wavesandsmiles · 16/02/2013 15:10

I'm still poorly :-( major issues getting my medication so still in the throes of Hyperemesis. Really built myself up for today as it was the day it was definitely going to arrive. But no, so been crying as well as vomiting today!

I definitely have a small bump now despite weight loss as opposed to gain. Just reassured that I know the baby will take what it needs, so it's only me with the problems.

16 + 4

Abilee90 · 16/02/2013 15:25

Waves huge hugs for u. I havent been able to gain weight. I dont know why. Quite worried as i didnt have this prob before. I know i shouldnt be complaining but doc seem to think its an issue xxx

muddybloodypuddles · 16/02/2013 15:46

Waves no wonder you're upset and disappointed, poor you - hope it arrives soon!!

Abilee - don't worry you WILL get a bump soon :) - i got absolutely huge with ds (ppl asking if it was twins) so can only assume I will get quite big with this one too...(what fun)

Abilee90 · 16/02/2013 16:19

Muddy - i was showing by now with first. I'll be complaining i'm too big by the end. Just no please in some people lol. How u feeling?

Xx

MrsPennyapple · 16/02/2013 17:11

Waves you must be utterly miserable, I really feel for you. Hopefully your medicine will arrive Monday and you can kick the hyperemesis's backside!

I'm 15+5 today and feeling all sorts of twinges in my belly, nothing alarming, just things starting to grow and change I think. It all sort of feels a bit more solid, I think. It's hard to explain. I have put on 6lb in total, which is less than I thought, given how much cake I've been eating. Lovely DP made me a white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake yesterday. It's amazing, but quite heavy, and can only be eaten in small portions - even by me, and I'm a pro when it comes to cheesecake.

FoofFighter · 16/02/2013 19:35

Feeling a bit better now I felt baby having a rummage about for a bit :) very faint though, had to really concentrate so guess am correct in thining it's shifted about towards the back.

Going out now to an album launch party, hoping can make it till around midnight but we'll see!

FX you get that medication soon Waves

No movement yet (midwife thought it would be 18wks at the earliest as it's my first), but I do have a small bump so people are starting to comment. My dance teacher told me after class last week that it looks really cute Smile.

Weight's starting to pile on though. I only put on 2lbs during first trimester, but last week I put on another 2lbs, and this morning discovered I've put on a further 1lb. Hope this is all baby and not the result of too much pigging out Blush.

Yvonney · 17/02/2013 07:09

Hi all, welcome to all the newbies.
Abilee - I'm a leggings and dresses girl too! I often have a sore tummy due to Crohn's, and can't stand jeans or anything tight against my tummy. There are some nice dresses in New Look maternity that I want to order.
As I just had my scan on Thursday, we're still telling people. It's funny (or slightly annoying!) how many people have asked if it was planned!?! I think people assumed we weren't having anymore cos my DS is 7 and I'm 37. It's only because we had to wait until I was well enough with the Crohn's we waited. I def have a bit of a tummy, but I always do have a belly as its normally bloated. It's def coming out a bit more from under my boobs though.
Hope everyone has a nice Sunday and hope your medicine arrives soon Waves x

Boosiehs · 17/02/2013 08:27

Happy Sunday all!!

Waves, I really hope you get your medication soon. FX!!

We've decided we like the Oyster buggy. My sister has one and she's really happy. Also it's light and folds up really small. In turquoise. :)

RememberingMyPFEs · 17/02/2013 08:47

Morning everyone!

waves hope your meds arrive soon, it must be hideous Sad every time I feel like having a whinge about something I think of you and pull myself up by my bootstraps x

I certainly have a bump, I've gained 5kg already but I think at least half of that is boob - now up 2strap and 4 cup sizes Shock

Mums 1st anniversary yesterday. Had nice day with Dad and Sis, tended the grave and took flowers but didn't talk much about her. Less painful than I'd feared and certainly less raw. Thanks for the hand holding earlier in the week ladies Thanks

Abilee90 · 17/02/2013 08:51

Yvonney - we are getting the same question but it because i'll be 23 in august that they being funny :/ my dh is 30 in august. I dont see the prob.
We are buying our own house, we both have good jobs. My dh has just signed a 5 year contract with fords. So his job is safe. Even down to i never have anyone look after my daughter over night ever. And its been less than 10 times that anyone has had her for couple of hours. Just annoys me. Everyone comments on how well presented my dd is. How well behaved she is and what a credit to me. Even down to listening to me she shocked my new midwife. So i just dont see peoples problem.
I live for my dd, shes my right arm.

Yvonney - its not like 37 is old, our friends have just had their first baby at 35 so you should just tell them that you was waiting for your ds to be bigger or something. I have no bump, but my boobs have got huge. My dh loves to tell me lol men. My friend just had her first baby and she has crohns. It cant be quite nasty from what she has told me so look after yourself

Happy sunday everyone :)

Yvonney · 17/02/2013 09:29

Abilee - thanks, they're keeping a closer eye on me and I'm getting extra scans to keep a check on baby too.

It's funny though how people have opinions on your life. Don't get me wrong, everyone is happy but there have def been a few surprised faces! x

RememberingMyPFEs · 17/02/2013 11:32

A wise woman once told me "opinions are like arseholes. Everyone has one and everyone thinks everyone else's stinks!"
Somehow your sexlife and your body become everyone else's business when you're PG, tell em all to get stuffed Grin

OP posts:
LexiLoganberryBump · 17/02/2013 18:52

We had decided a few years ago that we wouldn't have another but obviously had a change of heart so half expecting the was it planned question but I'm kind of wishing people will say it to us as most of our family are the sorts that'll be nice to your face then bitch among themselves about it being an unwanted pregnancy and I can't bare the thought of that, not sure how to address it, don't want to say we've been trying but at the same time don't want people saying unkind things, my DH doesn't care what people say and think and I know that I shouldn't either but can't help not wanting people to say negative things about our baby.

RememberingMyPFEs · 17/02/2013 19:01

Foof I'm with you on the nearly 40 one (when's your birthday?) but it's DC1 for me - cue lots of unplanned / IVF questions. Nosey beggars!!

Abilee90 · 17/02/2013 20:53

I have a bump today according to my dh :) yay! Only a small one tho.
In 6 days i find out what i am having how exciting!

My mum told me today that she might not come home from spain til april which has upset me as i'm desperate to see her but gonna have to wait another 2 months. Havent seen her since begining of december :( miss her.

Yes i agree with you ladies, opinions should be kept to themselves if they aint nice. Its more my dh aunt that is throwing her opinions around :/ but it upsets me. Even down to nasty statuses on facebook. I have never done anything to this women :(

I'm shattered today, took mil to wedding farye and then to toby carvery was lovely but i am shattered now.

wavesandsmiles · 18/02/2013 10:24

Morning all - remembering I am glad you coped ok with the first anniversary of your mum. My dad died very suddenly just under 2 years ago, and it is still really hard at times.

I'm still in my own personal torture room, and am back up to hospital shortly for another admission and copious IV fluids. My new hope is that things will have eased off by 20 weeks, which is now 3 weeks and 1 day away. I've spoken to my mum and she is going to have the DCs to sleep tonight, so I just need to pack my bag again, and get myself up there.

Baby seems to be doing acrobatics at times now, which is lovely but the movement triggers vomiting which isn't so fun!

Hope you are all enjoying a good start to the week
