Put car in a ditch on way home tonight. Up close and personal with some barbed wire. On Thursday we had 2 cars now we have none. Hope my one is repairable though!
I think I'm going to bubble wrap myself and refuse all phone calls/emails for the next week to avoid any more bad news!

Yvonney · 13/02/2013 20:40

Jollyred - omg are you okay? You must of got a fright, take care x

FoofFighter · 13/02/2013 20:50

scary biscuits JollyRG Sad very glad you're ok x

nausea is getting worse again, am going to have to start having my main meal at lunchtime I think. Managed a cheese sandwich and now having my free Ovaltine, was surprised to see it contains 100% rda of folic acid in one cup, wish had known that at 6 weeks!! a lot easier to have a drink than force a bowl of cereal in that you don't really want.

LexiLoganberryBump · 13/02/2013 21:13

And meant to say yvonney good luck for your scan tomorrow.

Abilee90 · 13/02/2013 21:57

I cant wait to find out! Are you gonna find out? :)

Xx

Stopsittingonyoursister · 13/02/2013 22:28

Gosh JollyRed hope you are OK and no aches and pains tomorrow.

Abilee hope your DD gets better soon, poor thing.

Lexi glad your scan was OK even if bean wasn't co-operative. Good luck with your scan tomorrow yvonney.

Sorry to hear about the sickness foof, and good news on the Ovaltine!

Went on DS' school trip today. First half was fine, as indoors, but second part after lunch was just terrible. Trying to do a walking tour, spotting things on a list, in the sub-zero temperatures with sleet and snow getting everywhere. We had three kids crying with the cold by the time the teachers decided we should head back to the bus Sad. Straight home in a warm bath and a hot chocolate for DS this afternoon!

Managed to scare myself earlier today as well. I was used to feeling little fluttery movements from DC3 but got around to thinking this afternoon that I hadn't felt anything like that for a couple of days. Started panicking that that was not a good sign. Then, as soon as I ate my dinner and actually sat down, started noticing just a few movements. Just wish this DC would move a bit more, just to reassure me, although I guess at 15 weeks I can't expect to feel too much.

Also started to get a bit of heartburn now after eating, particularly anything that is acidic tasting, like berries, blackcurrant juice. granny smith apples etc. I really don't want to be back of Gaviscon already, I detest the stuff. Does anyone have any alternatives that I could try please?

beckie90 · 13/02/2013 22:44

I think so but am scared haha, having convinced myself its a girl think I'm going to be in for such a shock when they say boy lol. It can't come quick enough because its driving me mad thinking what is it. But then watching OBEM tonight, when that girl didnt know the sex Aww it was lovely I cried Blush xx

Abilee90 · 13/02/2013 22:58

Stopsitting - thank u, fingers crossed shes ok tomorrow. Want my happy smiley baby back now.

Beckie - convinced its a boy and panicing that if they say girl, dh will be upset. I dont mind who so ever what i have.

Think i have flu :( or some sort of bug. Seem to be one illness after the other atm :(

Xxx

RugBugs · 14/02/2013 09:23

Good luck to Yvonney for your scan today! I remember there is at least one other scan today? MrsWaj maybe?

Hope you've had a restful night with your DD Abi?

Also really struggling to eat a meal in the evening Foof and anything I do eat at 6pm is still repeating on me when I go to bed at 10. Sucks that it's happening already as I remember it's only going to get worse!

parttimer79 · 14/02/2013 10:01

phew I've not been on here for ages!

Hope you are feeling better soon ruck and you abi

Everyone at work is ill, hoping my flu jab is doing it's job.

beckie how is my due date buddy?

I've hit the 2nd trimester bounce now (although it may be that my workload has dropped to a manageable level) so am feeling much less tired and weepy. Finally get to enjoy being pregnant at least for a while.
I've got my first aquanatal tonight which is making me strangely nervous. I feel like I'm part of a club I never expected to join and shouldn't really be a member of!

Good luck all today's scanees!

MrsWajs · 14/02/2013 10:01

Good luck for scan today yvonney, Rugbugs I had my scan on Tuesday as I got a cancellation appointment :) All fine but baby too small for NT measurement so I get to go back for another scan next Tuesday too - yay!

JollyRed Hope you are ok! You don't seem to be having much luck at all just now.

Foof I also live in a "city" that's not really a city! And in scotland too.

Abilee Hope your DD starts to feel better soon.

My DD is in the bad books today, she's been having a run of bad nights and early wakings which is unusual for her but this morning took the biscuit. She woke at 3.30am and refused to go back down, despite DPs best efforts. I ended up going into her at 4am after it was clear she wouldn't go back to sleep. I took her into DSS's bed (he only stays at wekends) and she fell straight back to sleep...until 05.15! Then asleep again from 05.30 until 7am. YAWN!! I can't keep doing this, I am working today from 1-9 and will be exhausted by the time I finish :(

LittleMissSnowShine · 14/02/2013 10:17

ladies i have been totally AWOL - just going to read back and catch up. Me and DS have both had norovirus and it got so bad for both of us that we needed pumped full of zofran to stop us vomiting and liquid paracetamol to bring down scary high temps. Spent all last night having to sponge a v cross DS down to try keeping his temp down and force feeding him tea spoons of water. Horrible! He seems a lot better this morning, unfortunately i still feel like crap! Just typical, finally getting severe pregnancy-related nausea under control with meds and then get a sever vomiting bug! Feel like I have been run over by a truck, house is a state and i have no energy whatsoever to do anything about it and i need to sleep for 12 hours straight so Valentines Day is postponed til tomorrow lol. On plus side.. I'm 15 weeks tomorrow tho!!

GaryBuseysTeeth · 14/02/2013 10:37

JollyRed, hope you're not too shaken & car is repaired asap.

Snowshine, sorry you're all so ill atm, hope you're over it all soon.

Good luck yvonney!

Stopsitting, no advice on the hearburn, but I've not felt anything for a few days here (think it's moved back, can still hear it on the doppler).

Hope everyone feels better soon.
I've got really sore gums atm (had really bad bleeding gums when pg with DS) and can't face eating...gah!

RugBugs · 14/02/2013 12:33

Arghhh yeah I remember now MrsWajs!

Sorry to hear more of us are sick Sad

I really need to stop buying newborn boys clothes, at least until we have confirmed what we are actually getting (at least I am confining myself to next sale stock).

wavesandsmiles · 14/02/2013 12:47

Hello everyone, just a quick update....I have been out of hospital a couple of days, but ongoing issues with medication, so still being sick Sad

Quite fed up of it all, and increasingly worried about the amount of work piling up in my absence from the office, especially as I was meant to be getting ahead of all my work this year in advance of maternity leave!

On a more positive note, I found a very much reduced hot milk bra on amazon and it arrived. It is SOOOO comfortable and I shall be buying a couple more when I get paid Smile

Woodifer · 14/02/2013 14:53

Hello all

I have just read the last few pages (not all the freds), but thought I would check in.

I have a DD (15 months) and am due DC2 on the 17th Aug (so currently 13+5)

Go do some more reading now :)

FoofFighter · 14/02/2013 15:08

hello woodifer :) welcome aboard! How have you been keeping?

OP posts:
RuckAndRoll · 14/02/2013 17:16

welcome woodifer

waves Don't worry about work, it's really not important at the moment. You, your DC and the little baby are most important. I do know how you feel though, I've caused a bit of chaos at work as I'm not allowed to travel (most of my job atm) so other people are covering for me. I said I was feeling guilty about it and got told off as work just isn't important if you're not well.

Do you have a link for that hot milk bra?

rug stop shopping!!

I'm off to start writing a list of all the things we realistically need to buy for baby to freak out DH when he gets in from work. So far we have a bath, 3 babygrows, and whatever MIL has bough us (a lot apparently, but won't tell us what, how useful).

stacey212528 · 14/02/2013 17:32

Ahhh this week is just not getting any better for me! Just had some random woman at my door ranting and raving threatening to phone the police on that "devil dog" of mine. Supposedly he attacked her dog first thing this morning and has left the poor thing "terrified and injured" and she will be expecting me to cover the vet costs. This will be the same dog who didn't get walked until about an hour ago because I'm so bloody unwell. Aside from the fact that he is a gentle giant (Bernese) and wouldn't have attacked her ratty dog in the first place! Have no idea who's dog attacked hers but it certainly wasn't mine! Sorry about the rant :( one of those weeks! x
