Thanks for the welcomes :)

foof - glad you're feeling a bit better and you're listening to your body

MrsPennyapple - snap on EDD :)

Remembering - you're probably feeling more anxious because of pg, we can get more protective of our 'family unit' and considering what happened last time I can see you are working yourself up a bit - we're here to hold your hand but try and think of it as a chance to watch what you want on the tele!

Christelle - I'm 36 and my background risk was 1:327 and adjusted risk (with blood tests) 1:6549 so I also think 9000 is correct for you.

Yvonney - congrats on 12 weeks, and good luck for Thursday!

Thought I was feeling better yesterday but by 5/6pm was feeling awful again...
i have a Quinny Buzz for DS that just needs a good clean and service so hoping to just get a buggy board for it as DS will be 3.6 when this one arrives

has snowed a bit here today but not v glad its not settled (surrey)

muddybloodypuddles · 11/02/2013 18:40

Stacey - mmm strawberries (but I can skip the chocolate which is most unlike me!)

stacey212528 · 11/02/2013 19:24

Has anyone used/tested the uppababy vista? Or know an average price? From what I can see it varies loads from site to site! I still really like the obaby zezu.

muddy I ended up skipping the strawberries and having an American style cheese toastie ...AMAZING!

FoofFighter · 11/02/2013 19:48

I know lots of people rate the vista but I just don't like the look of it. The people on the pushchairs bit of MN rave about it all the time.

for tea I have had a slice of pork pie Grin

stacey i've found the vista for about £570 -without the car seat. John Lewis sell it for £630 I think, but told me they would price match. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet but I'm considering this or the baby jogger versa.

stacey212528 · 11/02/2013 20:11

I honestly don't even know where to start.I really like the zezu but concerned that the harness would dig into baby while on pram mode. Thought about a mattress but thought it might make the pram too shallow. Ahhhhhh decisions!

Abilee90 · 11/02/2013 20:43

Foof my dd has noro virus as we speak :( she has covered me in vomit twice. Even 5mls of water is being brought back up :(
Praying i dont get it. Dh had a moan as i was gagging at smell but couldnt help it. Preg makes my smell terrible :(

Xx

Yvonney · 11/02/2013 20:50

Stacey - ooh what exactly is an American style cheese toastie?! Sounds yummy Grin

Percephone · 11/02/2013 21:02

How do you get the Down's screening result? Do they send a letter? I forgot to ask (doh) and not seeing midwife again til 18 weeks.

RememberingMyPFEs · 11/02/2013 21:04

Gary Muddy Beckie thanks for your kind works and Thanks

Got home tonight to empty house - no DH, no dog - and burst into tears. What a wuss!! I wish I could have some Wine
I also feel so bad as half of you are ill and Mayan and Waves are really having something to cry about and they're being so amazing and strong. Need to pull myself together.
Sorry for the 'poor me' but I feel better now!

Foof hope you're better soon too!

FoofFighter · 11/02/2013 21:10

Stacey, the harness straps come out when it is in pram mode and the pram liner has it's own built in soft harness on a Zezu :)

Abi, hope she's fine soon and keeps it to herself! Slap to your OH, he should be taking his turn helping.

PFE, why the tears you daftie :) yes am feeling huge amounts better, am starving hungry now but just nibbling bits till am sure I am safe!

Yvonney so you butter the outside of the bread, put LOADS of cheese in the middle. So like a sandwich and put in the frying pan without oil. 2 minutes then flip. It's basically a fatty version of the toadtie but tastes ten times better all crunchy and gooey at the same time. In fact I'm off to make another one.

beckie90 · 11/02/2013 21:16

percephone yes if you had the screening they send you a letter out.

abi hope your DD gets better soon, awful when kiddies are ill. Hope you don't get it

Xxx

beckie90 · 11/02/2013 21:17

stacey Omg now I want what you just said. Yum xx

Percephone · 11/02/2013 21:20

Thanks beckie I will look out for a letter then Smile

stacey212528 · 11/02/2013 21:22

It's amazing. I have to limit it though. Lots of grease lol. Xx

beckie90 · 11/02/2013 21:37

No problem percephone they told me within 2wk of the scan which would be tomorow, but still not recieved it today so I rang them up, they gave it me over phone. If it gets a long time, ring the ante natal clinic they should tell you.

Ahh but I like greasy food so thats fab ha. I had a salad for my tea from the salad bar at Morrisons and it didn't do the trick, I'm starving xx

Yvonney · 11/02/2013 21:40

Stacey - that sounds fab! Going to make one tomorrow Smile

Yvonney · 11/02/2013 21:55

Remembering - its understandable its going to be a tough/wobbly week for you, take care Brew Thanks x

DaveMccave · 11/02/2013 23:39

Glad you're feeling better foof. I had a vomiting bug at the peak of y morning sickness, I could barel tell the difference, it was just more forceful and dd and dp had it too! Not nice, but it doesn't harm the baby. Apparently you can't get true norovirus for about 2 years at least once you've had it, this seems true for me. So at least you won't have to deal with it with a little baby, hey?!

Sorry you're feeling lonely remembering. My dp is away in Ireland this week, missing him makes a nice chane though, I've felt really smothered and been spoiling for fights recently.

My friend who was giving me the quinny buzz messages to say it broke the other day :(. Still, I don't think I'll bother finding a replacement. I've bought 2 stretch wraps already, and want to get a connecta.

Dexidoo · 12/02/2013 07:30

Hope all of the horrible viruses are on their way.

(Hugs) remembering hope you are doing ok. Things are bothering me (emotionally) much more than usual on the verge of tears watching friends yesterday!

Told work colleagues yesterday- mostly women in their late 40's-50's and they are all very excited. A couple of them said they had suspected, been so green and listless for weeks.

Feeling much better in myself probably psychological but want to feel more normal now. Actually managed a proper breakfast (porridge) and a day without sweets yesterday, miracle!

JollyRedGiant · 12/02/2013 07:50

God, loads of us are having shit luck at the moment.

Yesterday, I found out I'm likely to be made redundant from my second job and not get maternity leave - not the end of the world but we'll be on much less solid ground financially. Also our second car has broken down and will cost far too much to repair. Finally, someone I respect and love who had been good to me over many years has been given a diagnosis of terminal cancer and is likely to only live weeks.

Poor bump is having to put up with me crying lots at the moment :(

Sending you all hugs and ice cream.

RememberingMyPFEs · 12/02/2013 07:53

Dave Dexi thanks! Just had a goo chat on the phone to DH and a chat about Mum too. Bittersweet but feeling a little stronger today Smile

Hope everyone is feeling better and have a great day today xx
Waves and Mayan how are things going with you both?

beckie90 · 12/02/2013 08:50

dave thats intresting, my dp has had it but me and kids didn't catch it so we must have had it, we had a sickness bug last year, must have been that. I wondered why I wasn't getting it as I get everything going.

jolly sorry to hear about your job :(

Woke up today with the most horrible cold, can't stop coughing, and how rubbish is it when you can't take any medicine.

14+3 xx

MrsWajs · 12/02/2013 09:05

Sorry to hear about your friend jolly, that's so sad and your job as well :(

Well finally I'm 12 weeks today and good news, got a call from MW yesterday and there has been a cancellation for NT today so I can have it this week now after all! Very happy but a bit :( as wonder if someone has had to cancel for sad reasons?!

Feeling very symptomless just now so glad I'm not having to wait another week.
