Welcome Muddy x
Foof - hope it passes soon x
Beckie - just read your post about healthy eating while finishing off a plate of bacon, sausage, toast and tomato sauce!Blush Feel like a right pig now but really wanted it lol! I'll make up for it with some fruit later! x

11+6 - nearly 12 weeks!!! Grin

beckie90 · 10/02/2013 19:09

I agree muddy in the first 5wks after finding out, I couldn't stomach barely anything, then after that it was mainly crisps (hoola hoops lol) but in last week I seem to be craving plenty of fresh fruit oh and raw carrots lol, I'm still eating treats though like a chocolate bar every now and again and last night I ate a Chinese cause DP wanted one so had Thai green curry and rice :) it should pass for you soon :) , still shattered by time it hits 6pm and get headaches but its so much better compared to sickness and dizziness and total exhaustion. Xxx

beckie90 · 10/02/2013 19:15

yvonney thats quite healthy to me Haha, my diet used to consist of takeaways something big and greasy haha. When I was expecting ds1 I think all I ate was Chinese Blush was far from healthy. Not healthy now really but to me its super healthy Haha xx

stacey212528 · 10/02/2013 19:29

Should I feel guilty that I'm reading about healthy diets while crunching my way through a packet of mini eggs? Blush

OxfordToLondoner · 10/02/2013 19:41

Told DS (aged nearly 5) this weekend. Such a lovely reaction, was sooo pleased. All weekend he's been talking about his little sister (as well as his goldfish, acquired yesterday, which is equally exciting for him). Realised we won't be able to keep the gender a secret though.

Abilee90 · 10/02/2013 19:45

We have snow in essex :( blooming typical. Rained all day so thought it wouldnt settle boy was i wrong.

Foof-flat lemonade helped when i had it.

Beckie - healthy eating would consist of more than one meal so that me out, rare accurance that i eat more than one meal a day. Have tried just makes me sick.

Dh is gonna get a swift kick up the bum soon.

Feeling really low and need to snap out of it. When dd is up i'm fine as soon as she in bed get really down.

Havent told my mum yet, i'm really scared of what she will say. I wasnt talking to her when i was preg with dd so worrying. Always told me when i was younger that if i ever came home preg she would kick me out. Kinda stuck in my head now :(

beckie90 · 10/02/2013 19:53

No stacey gotta allow treats Haha.

abi I've only had 1 meal today too, well a sandwich, but had plenty of fruit, I feel weird today really full. So I'm not all that healthy ha, just to my standards that is. Still not told my mum either, don't even know how to bring it up, always told her straight away before. Hard isn't it :(

Yvonney · 11/02/2013 06:56

Morning, I'm 12 weeks today yippee!!! Grin Counting the days and hours til my scan on Thursday. Getting slightly anxious as only ever did one pregnancy test! Really hope there is actually a baby inside lol! x

Have a good day everyone x

12 - finally Wink Smile Grin

RememberingMyPFEs · 11/02/2013 07:46

Congrats Yvonney it's nice to make the milestones Grin
Good luck for Thursday.

I had been feeling loads better but exhausted, nauseous and grumpy this morning. DH is flying stateside today for a week with work and I know IBU but I have overwhelming sense of foreboding - I'm putting it down to the fact he went exactly the same week last year and Mum died on the Thursday. Might need Biscuit and Brew this week as I'm feeling quite wobbly... Sad

beckie90 · 11/02/2013 08:42

Morning ladies :) hope everyone is well.

Yayy yvonney

Aww hope your ok remembering Thanks xx

Not much happening over here today, had some lovely snowy weather again, so housebound, not even attempting to go anywere with the boys in this, hate been stuck in house.

14+2 xx

Abilee90 · 11/02/2013 09:14

Morning :)
14 weeks 6 days today. Only 1 day til i'm 15 weeks. Yay.

Feeling bit better about things today but wont be going out because of snow. A lady is selling a baby jogger city select, dont know weather to go for it. She wants 400 for it, thats with everything. Anyone know if its a good deal. Want to get buggy sorted so i can relax as that the biggest thing. Got moses basket, my brother bought my cot for me. From online for baby and its lovely. Clothes i can pic up as i go and i have plenty of blankets. I have sterrilizer and just need to get bottles if i dont bfeed. So this is thing i'm panicking over.

Hope all are well and who ever has scans go well :)

FoofFighter · 11/02/2013 12:34

hello all, feeling a lot better today, the erm.. "output" has stopped now since early this morning so hopefully that's it now, just feel tired, headachey (dehydration I guess, working on that!) and my limbs feel achey/fluey feeling. Slept such a lot yesterday in between bouts then didn't get up till 11 today!

Hope the little monkey is ok anyway, NHS said that it would be. Bump seems to have done a disappearing act again, but then I suppose after the last 36hrs there's nothing left in there to bloat me and stick it out so it's probably where it should be Blush

Just had toast, as despite not wanting food, body is telling me it needs it.

13+6

beckie90 · 11/02/2013 13:08

:( hope your ok foof get well soon.

abi I don't have a clue if its a good deal not very good with that lol. I'm buying mine off a friend of DP's cause its not been used right long, but she's asked for 175 for it. She said it was nearly 700 then she bought lots of extras. So I gatherd saved me spending loads more. I've got the cot MIL has bought that for us, need a Moses basket, I sold mine to a friend in august last year lol, I plan to combi feed as ds2 still gets up all night, but if he stops that before babys born then I think Il just be fully breast feeding. Eeeek our scans are next week xxx

FoofFighter · 11/02/2013 13:25

Happy Monday everyone!
Welcome muddy!

Foof, hope you're feeling better soon. I'm not a fan of these modern buggies (and their prices) but that bugaboo looks decent for 2nd hand. Can I be the shoulder devil that says 'bid for it'?

beckie, abi, snap on the not going out due to snow. It's stopped here now, but the pavements look icy.
beckie, I told my mum via email. The only thing she's concerned about is if I told PIL first Hmm
Is that an option for you? Or getting one of your DS's to say something/give her scan pic?

remembering Thanks Wobble away. Here to hold a hand if you need it this week.

Mayan, how's the homelife been over the weekend?

Dave, sorry to hear how your brother took the news.

14+2

FoofFighter · 11/02/2013 14:22

You could be Gary but we've already picked what we want and the Gps are buying it, I doubt they'd want to get secondhand for their PFBGC Wink

How are you anyway

Abilee90 · 11/02/2013 14:25

Beckie 12 days!!!!!! Ahhh so excited lol. I'm pretty much bouncing of the walks.

My dd is being super cuddly today :) i'm loving it.

I'm gonna have to go tesco as i have a mad craving for beef stroganoff
Yumm lol

Xxxx

RugBugs · 11/02/2013 14:34

Hope you're feeling better Foof?

I don't understand why families can't just be supportive of our decisions even if they don't agree with them?

I'm convinced DPs sister is annoyed with us, she's getting married in September and DD is meant to be a flowergirl but since DPs mum told her (for the second time she told DPs sisters before he could) there have been dress appts for the other niece but not DD.

I'm not a fan of bugaboo, I'm with Gary and prefer a more rugged look but the fact that the pram is serviced is a bonus! My Dsis bought a second hand quinny buzz and sent it off to be serviced. It needed a new frame which meant a new seat (new frame had different attachment) so it ended up costing her a whole lot more than she anticipated.

My blood results came through on Saturday (have been away and had a lovely 5hr drive up the country through driving rain/snow yesterday), 1 in 15000 yipee!

beckie90 · 11/02/2013 14:37

gary no mother doesn't have an email Haha, think I'm going to pluck up the courage after the scan next week and say here u go lol I'm having a baby.

The snow is cleared up here now, desperately need to go shopping but going to wait til DP gets home. I've just got my NT result after having to ring up cause I'd still not recieved anything 2wk later. It's low risk

abi I'm so so nervous about it, and still trying to persuade DP to let me find out lol

Christelle2207 · 11/02/2013 15:00

rug that's great, mine came back as 1 in 9000 - I actually think it's a typo and is meant to be 1 in 900, because overall, other things being equal, 1 in 1000 babies are born with down's, and 1 in 900 is an average score for a 30 year old. I'm nearly 35, so 1 in 900 is a good score, let alone 1 in 9000!

Either way I'm not going to worry about it.

Thanks too to the lady that provided the funmum discount code. Limited range but i have just ordered what I want with a 10% discount. Assuming the quality is good, it seems good value anyway.

RugBugs · 11/02/2013 15:11

I will be 32 Christelle and was surprised how high the base risk was, serves me right for nosily reading midwifes wall charts!
But I think the 9000 is right, my Sister was 30 and got 1 in 19000. So assuming they use some kind of formula you can kind of see a pattern with an increased risk of 2k per year.

MrsPennyapple · 11/02/2013 15:40

Christelle I'm 35 now and my risk came back as 1 in 2200, so 9000 is probabl right.

Nothing much to report here, except I'm 15 weeks today.

Hope everyone is ok.

beckie90 · 11/02/2013 16:23

My result when I was 17 came back as 1 in 800 for my oldest, there was no NT measurement then though just the bloods. Result for ds2 was 1 in 2500 with NT measurement I was 20 when I had him. And my result for this one the lady on the phone today said 1 in 22500. So mine was quite high risk for my age with my 2 boys although obviously its still low risk. Everyone else got a lot lower risk results then me. But that didn't matter cause there obviously fine :) xxx

stacey212528 · 11/02/2013 17:11

I couldn't get the test for downs as baby played hide and seek so the midwife couldn't get a neck measurement. Have to go for a blood test at 16 weeks /:
I just left my scan inside a card to "grandad" for my dads birthday and went to work! Lol. Cowards way out I guess. Have a really bad craving for salt and vinegar crisps or strawberries dipped in chocolate! Hope everyone is well. Xxx
