That's the only thing with esme I guess, Eskarina and sybil are both more 'real' names, sadly the conversation at my end descended into finding the worst - yep like moist! Weirdly I quite like Angua, don't think it'll work though Grin. So funny to find so many of us like TP - all my close friends think they are books for guys!

BinarySolo · 14/02/2013 21:36

Gaspode?

Whyriskit · 14/02/2013 21:40

I think there are a few of us around! I suppose you could use Cherry, or Sam!

redandyellowandpinkandgreen · 14/02/2013 21:43

Nell was what we would have called DC1 but he was a boy. Nell Florence I still love it but not enough to say it's decided. Boy's names I'm very undecided on.

enjolraslove · 14/02/2013 21:49

Hi all. Could I join you? Edd is 22nd sept so nearly 9 weeks, feeling sick and tired all the time and just counting the days (minutes) till the first bit is over.
I've been to the doctors (3 weeks ago) who did the referral to the midwives and said they would contact me but nothing as yet. Do you think i should be chasing them up or give them another week or so?
Thanks all!

GirlWithTheYellowHat · 14/02/2013 21:50

Oh is Esme in twilight? I've never seen it. Well that's that name ruined!!
Sam is actually one of our boys names as its a family name on DH side, forgot about Vimes.

Gytha? Adore Belle? I do like Mort!

amidwifecrisis · 14/02/2013 22:16

Hello! I can't keep up with work and life as well. Hope you're all doing ok. Me and babies are all good. Just still soooooo sick!

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 15/02/2013 00:32

"Ook" or "TheLibrarian"? Or "Dibbler"? Grin

jennimoo · 15/02/2013 06:13

I like Susan but its very similar to my mums ne so would look like we named for her...

nerual · 15/02/2013 06:43

a good friend of ours called their dd Lyra, which is really nice I think. not TP but almost as good ;). DP got a bit upset when they named her that as he was coveting that name for our potential dd! ah well...

also think I have added to clearblue profits by buying 25 tests in the past 6 months...tee hee.

kimjayne · 15/02/2013 08:29

I've seen quite a few people mentioning that they have bumps showing already by 10 weeks (earlier in some cases) Im 11 weeks today and apart from being a tad bloated I can't see a visible bump. Im around a size 10 so thought I might be showing slightly by now. Am i being stupid by worrying? Is anyone else feeling bump-less?

Wincher · 15/02/2013 09:05

kimjayne, I think actually if you're slim to start with, you have strong stomach muscles and it's your first pregnancy then you're less likely to start showing early. I think it's probably mainly those of us on second or subsequent pregnancies whose stomach muscles are shot to pieces who are showing this early - your stomach knows what's coming so relaxes into it early! I seriously have about the same sized bump as my colleague who is 21 weeks pregnant! Quite embarrassing really, especially as no one else at work apart from her knows I'm pg yet.

badguider · 15/02/2013 09:39

I've got a bloated stomach (up high - my actual stomach) but def no bump. I am not very slim but have strong core muscles from various sports. I can still feel a solid wall under my inch or so of flab and still can't even imagine how it might pop out.

MrsMc82 · 15/02/2013 10:04

Anyone else getting night sweats? Had them all this week and they're awful :(

kimjayne · 15/02/2013 10:28

feeling horribly sick today! I'm praying this nausea shifts at 12 weeks. Only 7 days to go :( .... I'm sat at work feeling grim right now. So so glad it's Friday.

astroming · 15/02/2013 10:30

..Morning all, can i join the September madness. Baby number 2 due around 26th so 8 weeks tomorrow. I have no symptoms and the ones i did have, sore boobs, cramps, slight food aversions etc all went at the end of week 5.

Ive booked myself in for an early scan at a private ultrasound place i used with my first one in Stockport today at 3:00 and am extremely nervous. Im terrified there will be nothing there. My first pregnancy was full of of all day nausea, off certain foods, couldnt stand coffee (which i love!) dizzyness ...and this one is sooo different.

Anyway i will know in a few hours, so if its good news maybe there is hope for all of us symptomless ladies.

KamikazeeKid · 15/02/2013 10:31

Mrsmc82 - meee!
Not only that I have restless legs which I thought was a late preg thing but I never had it with DS!! I wake up talking to my flipping legs in a right mood. ...funny how this sort of behavior seems normal at 3am....

EmmaDee · 15/02/2013 10:35

Morning all, all my symptoms seem to have vanished this morning! Was beginning to panic but hopefully alls ok. Still haven't heard anything about my booking appointment, Grr! Everytime the postman arrives I'm at the door like some overly friendly jack russell!!!

fl0b0t · 15/02/2013 11:03

Welcome enjolraslove and astroming!

enjolraslove- I'd probably get in touch with your midwife as you'll be due your booking in appt soon.

I had my booking in today and midwife was just what I needed. Nice, a bit scatty and very firm! She was pleased that we're low risk everything (though we were very amused that in pregnancy "being pregnant" was a risk factor..... not sure how you can be be pregnant without being pregnant!). She gave some great advice, was a saint about sorting my blood tests to ensure I didn't pass out/ cry too much and.... yeah just overall what I needed. Husband came with me which was really good of him.

Quick question- anyone else getting stinky stress-sweat? I am a sweaty lady anyway (life is unfair!) but the last couple of days I've been getting like stress-sweat which is mega-stinky. As in having been dressed for two hours I'm about to go for a shower. Gross. :(

jemimahpuddleduck · 15/02/2013 11:26

Mrsmc I am getting that too glad others are,

Flo glad your booking in went well i experienced the same at about 8 weeks but it seems to of gone now.

Another sick free day so far today exactly 10 weeks. My app says this should be the height of my sickness so trying not too stress too much and just enjoy feeling better. Still knackered though!

LexyMa · 15/02/2013 12:05

11+3 and I was actually actually sick this morning. Hadn't yet had any breakfast, only tea, some juice, vitamins and paracetamol, so it was horrible watery and bitter. Headache is back, but I am only just about in time to take next paracetamol dose - don't know how much of it dissolved before the sickness if you see what I mean, so thought I should assume I still had to wait 4 hours.

I am sooooo tired. DH came home yesterday knackered because he had given blood (for the first time - I am very proud of him because he is a bit squeamish). I made dinner, nothing fancy, and he just went to bed early. I got up at 4am to settle DS back down, turned out to be for nearly an hour. So slept in till 8 this morning. Still feeling whacked, and I am supposed to be going out tonight with a bunch of women - not a hen night but similar levels of excitableness. Don't want to let on about the pregnancy so am going to have to be seriously boring and claim tiredness/nonspecific illness.

Haven't forgotten I promised to do the stats. Will get to it tomorrow maybe.

Oh I noticed something interesting on my scan letter - about possible baby booms - mine is at Watford General, but they have said on the letter that they are also contracting out some of the scans to a nearby private provider "to cope with the current demand"...! So I definitely think there is a boom going on. Hope that doesn't mean a shortage of midwives when we need them, and school places too.

Creamtea1 · 15/02/2013 13:20

11+1 and feeling awful again today. So looks like I was tricked into a few nausea free days earlier this week and now it's back :( have managed a crumpet and some mints.
Also feel really tired - so glad am off next week for half term.
And last thing is feeling extra grumpy with DH - fed up of everything to do with dc's defaulting to me - eg making their dinner, sorting the school bags, uniforms, bath time, morning routine, etc. he doesn't do any of it then makes a massive deal out of having to walk dogs. We both work FT.
Mini moan there!
Re bump - my tummy is definetly sticking out, but whether that is bloat/poo/baby/crumpets I don't know!

SGJ · 15/02/2013 14:00

Creamtea, I think BloatPooBabyCrumpets might have to be my name for little baby GJ! Love it!

andadietcoke · 15/02/2013 14:18

10 weeks today (by my dates, I reject the mid wife's dates!). That's twice as long as last time - so far, so good!

I've done something terrible. I had Brie (albeit melted Brie in a panini) for lunch. It was lovely. And (shhh) I'd do it again. So there. Blush

EmmaDee · 15/02/2013 14:30

andadietcoke I went out last night and had venision for dinner! I did ask for it medium but it came out rare and I munched it anyway!!! It was lovely!
