DP wouldn't fetch humous but he has just gone to get us a Chinese! Not the healthiest but I figure one or two wont hurt. I'm sooooo hungry. If only they sold humous at the Chinese!!
Although, hve read contradicting advice on eating humous, anyone else looked this up??

andadietcoke · 13/02/2013 19:28

total I'm so very sorry. Take care of yourself Thanks

andadietcoke · 13/02/2013 19:28

kimjayne did you have an early private scan, or have I got you confused with someone else?

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 13/02/2013 19:28

Contradictory advice?? Have been scarfing down hummus like there's no tomorrow!!Smile

frogchops · 13/02/2013 19:35

Most say its fine I think, but I'm sure it was on nhs foods to avoid!??

Kittenkatzen · 13/02/2013 19:41

So sorry total

Humous definitely isn't on the nhs printout I've got on my fridge....can't see what could e problematic with chickpeas, olive oil & garlic?

frogchops · 13/02/2013 19:50

No, not me and when I mentioned I wanted it, even DP said 'I've read u shouldn't have tht' so its in something I've got somewhere! I'm gona get some anyway, it'd be common knowledge surely if it was a no no.

juniper904 · 13/02/2013 20:02

Hummus

Girraferama · 13/02/2013 20:20

Just checked nhs and its on their list of healthy snacks during pregnancy so I think it's fine!

PurplePoppySeed · 13/02/2013 20:24

Really sorry total, hope you are being looked after.

I had a second early scan today after going in at what should have been 8 weeks to be told it was only 5 or 6 weeks along (though there was a hb which was +ve). they had me back in again today and the good news is the little jelly baby has caught up a bit... Been re-dated as 9 weeks which is only 1 week behind where I should be based on dates. I've now been discharged from the EPU and they won't see me until the 12 week scan on 13th march (Yey!).

I've been really lucky they've looked after me so nicely after have an MMC in november, I think I agree with most of the comments above though, clearly these scans haven't changed the outcome so far, but it has helped me to relax a bit which I'm sure is important.

On the funny side she told me that all the gas in me was getting in the way of a good image and demonstrated where it was going "cloudy"!

kimjayne · 13/02/2013 20:25

Andadietcoke - you are correct... I had an early scan around 2.5 weeks ago. But ive managed to convince myself that anything could have happened during that time though! I paid for the scan in order to stop myself worrying like this... Didn't seem to work though.

SGJ · 13/02/2013 20:32

Today's summary: massive jacket potato, too much fudge, windy.
That is all.

andadietcoke · 13/02/2013 20:37

kimjayne s'okay, I'm exactly the same, but I don't take my own advice, which to you would have been "the odds of anything going wrong after seeing a heartbeat at 7/8 weeks are very slim, I'm sure everything will be fine" Wink

Rosyisgonnabeamummy · 13/02/2013 20:44

Mmmmm hummous. Went to shop today for taramasalata but they had NON!!!! Not amused.

My 12 w scan is tues 19th feb. hopefully I will get a EDD as I am using 1st sept ish as my EDD for forward planning etc at work.

Can I ask you all to join me in raising a glass of ginger beer in celebration of the end of my professional investigation - where I did nothing wrong and claim was mis attributed. I will be back in normal duties on Monday Grin Wine

jennimoo · 13/02/2013 20:48

So sorry you're leaving is total :(

Girlwiththeyellowhat - we're scan buddies tomorrow then! I'm the same as you by dates, but early scan said I'm 4 days ahead so might be just over 12 weeks. Looking forward to getting official EDD tomorrow. And telling everyone.

jennimoo · 13/02/2013 20:49

And I'll raise a glass rosy, but it'll be summer fruits and barley squash, can't manage anything fizzy!

WhizzsMum · 13/02/2013 20:50

Have cried with laughter at some of today's posts and then sad tears when reading Total's news. Thinking of you.

Hell yeah to the humous eating ladies - scoffed a whole tub of it yesterday with a bag of sea salt and cider vinegar crisps.

Had a call from the midwife today - booking in appoitment is 27th Feb Smile

I too have a hen weekend to attend weekend after next in Bristol. I've organised the whole thing for my lovely sister. Sadly I don't think I'll be doing much of it though - treasure hunt (on your feet running round the city) followed by cocktail lessons already paid for. Fortunately my sister has a friend who doesn't drink. She will be my new best friend that weekend.

Is it selfish of me to want to keep my news until I reach the radiant/glowing stage? Would much rather people's response be 'oh you look so well, pregnancy suits you' as apposed to the 'I thoughht you've been looking rough lately' that I am likely to get ATM!!!

kimjayne · 13/02/2013 20:59

Who's braving One Born.Every Minute this evening then? ?

WhizzsMum · 13/02/2013 21:07
