photographerlady · 01/02/2013 09:42

SlouchingPanda hope they look into your tiredness and that it gets better soon.

flying good luck today.

Finally its almost the weekend everyone, I still feel like a tired zombie at work, I think a lazy lazy Sunday is on the cards this weekend.

Grannyapple · 01/02/2013 10:02

Hi ladies...good luck flying..

Not much to report here...16 wks today & defo had some flutters last night (exciting!). Got 16wk appt on Tuesday so looking forward to hearing hb!

Still been doing spin twice a week, now that I've got my energy back!
On pram front-DS1 will be almost 2.5 when next one comes so I'm thinking of buggy board & scooter for him..

Right, working today so best get back to it...have a Good Friday ladies!!..

OhGood · 01/02/2013 10:12

good luck flying xxx

SlouchingPanda · 01/02/2013 10:23

Thinking of you, Flying. What a tough time you're having. Also Twirlie - how are you today?

CottonSock · 01/02/2013 10:45

Hope all ok flying

Great sale in Boots! Spoke to a retailer earlier who said that 2013 buggies tend to be released in March across the board. This means that you can wait to March to get new releases, with upgraded features etc, or if you are already knowing what you want, last years stock may get heavily discounted. Must be the case with Boots, half price is amazing. Now I want a Mountain Buggy just because Blush

Guavasforbreakfast · 01/02/2013 12:05

Oh my goodness princess I'm so glad (although my bank account isn't) that I checked the thread! Just bought a mountain buggy swift - very snap decision made after hearing squidge's heartbeat this morning. It seems to be a trend - I bought my other one straight after my 12 week scan.
I had been thinking about getting an ATP as our little urbo, while perfect for living in the city, won't do for our frequent trips out with family into the Yorkshire countryside. I was looking at all the cheapo ones with rubbish reviews, plus ebay, never dreamed I could justify a new mountain buggy! Yay yay yay.
(Please don't judge me for having 2 pushchairs!!!)

Now will go on to catch up with the rest of the thread, got distracted...

TotallyEggFlipped · 01/02/2013 12:35

Good luck flying

I had my 16 week MW appointment today. Everything's ok & got to hear the heart beat, which was really reassuring as I'm not feeling pregnant at all any more. I was expecting to be weighed - it felt like I was being weighed all the time with DD - but she just checked urine & BP.

DD will be almost 2 1/2 in July, so I'm hoping to use a sling & buggy. My friend has given us her old buggy board, so I'll see about getting adapters for that too, so that's another option. I'm a be jealous of everyone buying new buggies. I really don't like ours, but can't justify getting another one.

I have a job interview on Wednesday. I'm starting to get nervous about it. It's been 2 years since I worked.

Guavasforbreakfast · 01/02/2013 12:45

Totally I didn't get my weight checked today either at 16 wk appt - just bp, urine, heartbeat and felt for where my uterus is. Good luck with your interview!

Guavasforbreakfast · 01/02/2013 12:46

Hope today goes ok flying, sorry I missed your post when skimming on phone.

flyingsprocket · 01/02/2013 13:30

Oh exciting totally good luck.

Our lil baby is fine, I was scanned & examined this morning. They can find absolutely no reason for this bleeding. It's still very heavy, no pain but a little uncomfortable because I can feel it. My BP & haemoglobin are fine too so I'm ok.

Same advice given re exercise & hopefully it will stop. 3 weeks I've been bleeding now Confused but at least the little one's ok. Thanks for the good wishes everyone, feel like I'm becoming the thread drama queen!

TotallyEggFlipped · 01/02/2013 13:45

So glad everything went ok, flying. Please don't worry about being the thread drama queen! We're hear to listen.

Cheeseandbread · 01/02/2013 13:58

So glad everything is ok flying

So exciting that everyone is having 16 week appointments, and some others further along! I'm 16 weeks tomorrow and have MW appointment on Friday - really hope I get to hear a heartbeat.

Thanks Shelly and Emb for anterior placenta advice.

I think I might need to check out the Mountain Buggy!

photographerlady · 01/02/2013 14:00

glad things are ok flying and that totally had a good check in.

Anyone getting up to anything exciting this weekend? I am packing ofc for the big move and eating my body weight in dill pickles that my friends mailed over from the States.

dinkystinky · 01/02/2013 14:05

Glad all is ok with the baby and hope the bleeding stops soon Flying. Dont worry - we're all here for each other as and when we need support/someone to chat to. That's what this thread is for!

Didnt get weighed at my 16 wk appt either (dont remember being weighed with DS2 either) which was a relief as am HUGE. Weekend will consist of childrens classes on Saturday and DS1 going to a birthday party then on Sunday am flying solo as DH is back to look after his mum down south so might take the boys to the Hayward gallery to see the new exhibition there and mooch down the southbank or go to the zoo if the rain holds off. When is the date of the big move Photographer?

elliejjtiny · 01/02/2013 14:19

Good luck flying

Another one recommending the phil and teds buggy. I've had mine for 5 years now and it's quite tatty now but it's been used as a single and a double with all 3 of my children.

Had my midwife appointment today. Everything fine and she was a lot more understanding about my panics about movement than the registrar was. I said no thankyou when she offered to listen to the heartbeat because I knew I'd panic if she couldn't find it. I have my 20 week scan in 2 weeks and then I see the midwife again at 25 weeks.

Abzs · 01/02/2013 14:48

That's good news that you and your baby are okay flying.

I haven't been weighed since my first MW appointment good thing too, as their scales weighed me 2 kilos heavier than mine. Just checked, have put on may be half a kilo (1lb).

Guavasforbreakfast · 01/02/2013 14:48

She didn't give me a choice about listening to hb, just told me to lie down ellie! Was really nervous while she was looking for it, would have been horrible if she couldn't find it although I know that's common at this stage. Seems like it's different in different areas then, some don't offer at all.

Guavasforbreakfast · 01/02/2013 14:50

Good to hear about baby flying, really hope it stops soon so that you can relax a bit!

BadMissM · 01/02/2013 14:51

Glad everything OK flying xxx

I haven't really got anything yet, don't have anything left from DD..as she's 14. I'm just a bit scared tbh that something will go wrong, as last time I was pregnant, it did.

Shouldn't have looked on the Boots site...lots of lovely buggoes.... just trying not to jump the gun....

notprincesskate · 01/02/2013 15:35

Glad to hear all is well flying, I did get to hear HB at 16 wk appt but no weight, that joy was left for my consultant appt when I almost feel off the scales in shame Sad, haven't been weighing myself (much) at home, but I'm still 2kg lighter than I was on their scales, not good for an already chunky monkey with no will power and a serious sweet tooth.
My pushchair purchase was a second hand mountain buggy terrain, its lovely just right for lots of walking to shed baby weight! Did take a sneaky look at the ones on boots, very tempted, but also love the buggy we had for DD, so have firmly put credit card away although half price is such a good offer.
Need some advice for serious lower back pain, its not sciatica as it doesn't go down legs, but it just feels like back is seized up all the time, standing or sitting doesn't seem to make much difference, the only way I can get really comfy is to lie on my side, even when I get up in morning it feels so stiff I can hardly stand, it doesn't seem to bode well for the next 22 weeks. I'm doing yoga, and trying some of the exercises at home, and have a gym ball ready for when I can find the pump. Would a body pillow for in bed help, and any ideas what sort of pillow might be good for sitting, sometimes get some relief by sitting with legs curled to the side, but that is bad for my pelvis I think, feeling so sorry for myself today!

Ooh need to say thanks for the help given re which best buy car sets, I asked ages ago and someone posted a list but can't remember who Thanks

dinkystinky · 01/02/2013 15:51

Notprincesskate - sounds horrible. Are you doing cat stretch daily - if not, try doing cat stretch, sitting back towards your feet, then coming back up and coming out of pose a few times and see if limbers up your lower back? Also, how are you sitting when in a chair. If possible, try to sit on an exercise ball and roll around in circles or figures of 8 - should loosen back up. And when sitting in a chair make sure your hips are higher than your knees. A body pillow will only really help with getting you comfy in bed - wont help with the stiffness in the morning so stretches/exercise ball should help there. If it doesnt ease up, speak to the midwife or your GP who might refer you to a physio.

BadMissM · 01/02/2013 16:24

Oh bugger. Just bought a buggy. So much for 'just looking'.....

dinkystinky · 01/02/2013 17:07

If it was a bargain and fits your requirements BadMissM - I find its easier to disperse the cost of baby stuff over a good few months if that helps at all.
