Night everyone! Only early but bored of feeling grim so going to bed. Feel like I've got a neverending hangover!

RainbowsFriend · 16/02/2013 21:42

Congrats youaremychocolate :) I reckon I'm due end of Oct as well.

Well I've had a couple of good nights of sleep (thanks DD :) ) so the nausea has receded thank goodness!

MrsAFlowerpot · 16/02/2013 21:42

Im about to go to bed to try to escape feeling exactly the same pink.

Thanks ladies...will call the doctors on Monday just to chase up.

Tarlia · 17/02/2013 00:22

Urg I wish I could sleep, I don't know what's wrong with me!? I've got the worst insomnia ever! I think its due to the nausea but I'm exhausted at 6pm and could literally sleep, but come bed time I lay here for hours wide awake until 3 or 4am. I've only come on here as been laying for so long and now I'm hungry arrrggg.

And breath.

Good evening ladies. Congratulations and welcome to the newbies to the thread, get comfy :). Sorry to hear lots of you are feeling pretty grim too at the moment, it'll so be over and of course all worth it. I read yesterday that 75% get morning sickness, crazy.
Has anyone been tempted to buy something tiny and white yet? I'm oh so tempted but we had a surprise last time as I was adement, this time OH is swaying to find out and tbh I think I've accepted we will, as although I do not have gender preferance as such, I've always expected to have a boy followed by girl so am expecting a pink one. Saying that, I think it would be lovely for DS to have a brother close in age and we plan on more anyway. Anyone else feeling the same?

Hope you are all sleeping soundly :)

notsoold · 17/02/2013 00:56

Tarlia....insomnia is also one of my pregnancy symptoms...
I had two dcs and would definitely want to know.... But I not buying anything yet.... Xxx

Rainbows.. Hope ms subside for you!

Chocolate cake welcome!!!

Tarlia · 17/02/2013 07:44

Chocolate cake is indeed welcome...oh damn, you mean a person? Shame there was me thinking we were going to have a pregnancy breakfast! I didn't ever do that last time, my cravings were satsumas and jarred pickled beetroot, not together. Anyone else care to share past pregnancy cravings?

Oh and I forgot to address the boob topic, I was a 36E I am now, wait for it, an i !! No, they have not shrunk in the slightest, though I'm still breastfeeding am and pm. Today was the first am of no feed, it was rather sad, he is such a boob monster, but I always said 2 years and I hoped he would have self weaned before. Anyway, my point is I hope they don't get any bigger or they will need there own passports!

13loki · 17/02/2013 08:33

Tarlia before eldest I was a 30FF, I went up to 32JJ, then down to 32J. With 2nd they went up to 32L. L, who knew they even made L cups (helmets). Down to JJ. Now dreading what will happen. Already straining in the JJs. Shock

Natalieand · 17/02/2013 08:42

Just wondering ladies I have my early scan tommorow, but it was arranged over the phone and I was told to come with a full bladder, how much do I need to drink and how long before do I need to drink it to achieve this full bladder? Hope everyone's keeping ok! I can't remember who said about insomnia, but its one think I don't seem to be suffering ATM , have the sorest nipples ever tho, they r feeling all bruised. Bra size wise I'm a 40dd so just average really. And welcome too all the newbies :-) xxxxx

RainbowsFriend · 17/02/2013 08:47

I think a pint an hour before is sufficient :)

Haylebop12 · 17/02/2013 08:53

And avoid fizzy pop natalie

Natalieand · 17/02/2013 08:54

Thanks ladies much appreciated. Is juice ok as I don't really like water xxx

pinkbuttons · 17/02/2013 09:53

natalie I went to the toilet half an hr before anf bladder was still full after drinking for that time. dont make yourself in pain for a full bladder i got made to empty mine Smile also i got "told off" for being to gassy Blush but in a very kind hearted way, not sure there was anything i could have done to avoid that.
tarlia with my last pregnancy i craved cheese the whole way through, i think that may have accounted for some of my 4 stone weight gain... am hoping for more healthy cravings like yours this time Smile
With regards to boobs I was grateful for a bit of extra when pregnant with DS i went from a 34c to 36dd while pregnant and then to a 36e while breastfeeding and i felt like that was too much for me. they were back down to a c but already grabbing all the old bras out.

Natalieand · 17/02/2013 10:07

pink buttons so u drunk 1 pint an hour before but 30 mins before had a wee and that left your bladder full enough still? I remember I had an early scan with dd1 at 9+6 and my bladder was so full I could have happily wet myself there and then it was painful lol but I can't remember how much I drunk Etcxx

Sal1977 · 17/02/2013 10:41

Morning ladies!
Has anyone had any spotting at all? I had some yesterday (just on the loo roll) from about 4.30pm on and off until bed time. I haven't had any today but have only just got up so will see what gravity brings in the next hour or so. Thankfully my friend who is a MW was here at the time so I showed her and she said just to relax that it's quite common and just to keep an eye on it. It was like a watery pink and then later brownish. Sorry TMI again.
I have of course convinced myself that this is a duffer pregnancy and its game over again (I had a v early miscarriage at 4+4 18 months ago) and that I will never be a mummy.
Any happy stories of hope would be great right now! Xxx

Haylebop12 · 17/02/2013 10:49

Yes natalie juice is fine, fizzy pop causes a haze on the image. When I had my early scan I craved fanta Blush

StrawberryGateaux · 17/02/2013 10:54

Sad Ive started to bleed, it's pink but i'm guessing this isn't good.
Will hide thread for now

char1eston · 17/02/2013 11:22

Fingers xd for you StrawberryGateaux x
Sal - spotting can be very normal in some pg. A friend of mine bled quite a lot but was fine and has a very healthy boy

pinkbuttons · 17/02/2013 11:23

strawberry hope everything calms down for you.
sal I think spotting is quite common in early pregnancy from my own experience I had it throughout my first trimester with DS. If it carries on would call midwife just to check and for reassurance.
natalie dont even think I drank that much i drank a bottle of ribena throughout the hr before. that was it. am weeing alot at the moment though.

roofio87 · 17/02/2013 11:37

I know bleeding never looks good, but don't panic until you know what's what!! my sister had some fairly heavy bleeding and pain at 8 weeks, rushed to the hospital and they found she had a cyst on her overy that had burst. that was totally fine, went away on its own and her beautiful baby is now 6 months old so it can be nothing!!
sending hugs x

RainbowsFriend · 17/02/2013 12:19

I had pink/red spotting at 12DPO and none since. Keeping my fingers crossed for you

Sal1977 · 17/02/2013 12:54

Thanks girls. Xxx

juniper904 · 17/02/2013 13:09

Dipping my toe into this group. Not sure which bus I'm meant to be on (trust me to get lost!)

Had an early scan done privately on Friday and the sonographer there says I'm due on 3rd Oct, although GP is calling my due date 23rd September. Either baby isn't growing as fast as it should be, or the dates are messed up.

Going to go to the walk in NHS unit on Wednesday, when I'll either be 7+6 or 9+3! As long as the blob is 5 days' bigger than my last scan, I can hopefully stop fretting.

EuroShagmore · 17/02/2013 13:36

The insomnia is separate to the nausea. I have awful insomnia, but no nausea at all (yet?).

I don't think I will be brave enough to buy anything white and tiny until about 30 weeks. I am very, very nervous (long awaited IVF win).

sal I had some brown spotting at 14dpo, accompanied by a dull womb ache. It lasted all day, but I haven't had anything since. Frantic googling indicated about 30% of pg women experience spotting, but it is always worrying to see.

Congrats to the new joiners.

I can't believe we have almost filled thread#1!

TheFalconsmistress · 17/02/2013 15:04

Sorry for tmi but I had the worst 30 mins of my bowels emptying after days of constipation today, I felt like my body was giving up on me. Has anyone else experienced this? I am 7+3 today and I just keep feeling worse not better! Tired but not sleeping well. Hungry but sick its horrid I had none of this with Ds.

Sorry for the mememe but I feel so rotten and alone right now Sad

Haylebop12 · 17/02/2013 16:24
