October 2013-anyone else with an early Bfp?

This will be my secomd dc. Torn between delight and fear it will all go wrong. Dd october 3 by my reckoning.
Cant tell anyone except dh in real life so hoping i can get quietly excited here!

Clear blue digi normally says 3+ which means u are at least 5 weeks. I am currently 4+3 and my clear blue days 2-3 which on paper means 4-5 so its correct for me xx

Hi rock 3+ means you are at least 5. Weird if you are 4 from last af, maybe you have super hormones .

Weird symptoms alert... I have developed very dry skin and feel the cold far more than i used to?!! Any one got these or other weird ones?
Any cravings yet? Anyone else NOT got MS (dont want to rub it in for those that have).

Apple I was expecting to get some dry skin but so far it's no different to normal. Still no MS, aversions or cravings. My occasional stomach cramps have come back (strangely relieved), plus headaches, a bit of lower back ache and sore boobs. Nothing major.
The only strange symptom I've had was yesterday I suddenly got a very strong metallic taste in my mouth. Chewing gum soon cleared that up though!

Hi Apple. Occasional feelings of nausea here but nothing like with DD or mcs at this stage. Wondering if im being lulled into a false sense of security with it!

No sickness here just nausea which I can usually curb with eating. just a general bleurgh feeling and waves of moodiness!

Went docs last night. She didn't test me and took my word for it. Got booked in with mw for 4 weeks time where I should be 8.4.

I me er thought about doing another cb digi to see if it progressed as my original said 2-3. I sent it to a lady off the conception board u was chatting on.

Ok, got myself all in a muddle here! It said 2-3 weeks on clearblue digi but this was on Wednesday (that's why I changed the weeks etc) I would have been 3 weeks 5 days by my LMP. So does that work out right, or does the digi say I'm further along than I think I am? Going to book a scan anyway, when I think I'm 8 weeks so hopefully will double check dates from that :)

34 I've got the opposite - constantly roasting! I had this throughout with DS, even wearing summer dresses in the snow so dreading feeling so warm with a summer pregnancy this time!

I've had mild queasiness in the morning today but didn't really have morning sickness last time so fingers crossed for the same again this time.

rockchick i believe it goes on ur hcg levels- so if ur sure about your dates it could be twins? ;)

34 I have dry skin too. I have been having to moisturise at least twice a day or I feel all itchy :-( I am also really feeling the cold...

Bit worried that I have no soreness in breasts and no ms. Odd. Although I am still tired and hungry with occasional mild cramps in lower abdomen. And I've been very moody. I feel sorry for DH!

Hello, my first ever mumsnet post! I'm 5+3 by lmp, but my clearblue digi done 9 days ago said 2-3 so that would have made me 4-5 then, I know my dates are right as I noted it down as we were on 2nd month of ttc. This is my 4th and I am not having many early symptoms other than massive very sore boobs, slight nausea only and the tiredness has not even kicked in for me properly yet. I went to the GP on Thursday, he didn't test me either even though I brought a sample, says it would be a waste of a test seen I'd done a digi?! I know the nhs is struggling but those tests must cost pennies lol, he referred me for a dating scan as the digi/lmp dates don't match. Anyone know when these are usually done? Nice to meet you all :)

Loopy lucky you - my midwife is just going by what the digi said which I now think puts me 1 week ahead of LMP and won't give me a dating scan prior to the 12 week scan

Done another digi (thanks cherry scaring me with talk of twins :) ) and it's still saying 2-3 so I'm thinking I was only slightly over the level that moves it from 1-2 into 2-3, the line on my Internet cheapies is getting stronger so I'm confident my HCG levels are still on the increase! Have booked a private scan for Sat 9th March when I'll be 8 weeks by LMP so fingers crossed it all goes well :)

Hi Rockchick, thats what was weird with me I was using ebay cheapie tests and the line was barely visible that morning even first wee, but did digi that evening and it said 2-3, the cheapies did darken dramatically the next few days but they are not as sensitive as they claim I don't think. I am happy I will be getting and extra scan but I don't want one before 7 weeks really as I had a very early scan with my last dd at what turned out to be just under 6 weeks and you couldn't see much and no heartbeat so caused me more worry as they said they couldn't tell if the pregnancy was viable from that. Anyway I'll see it might take a few weeks for an apt as its not an emergency. I was going to book a private scan for 8 weeks before he told me that as no way I could wait until 12 weeks I seem to be getting more of a worrier in my old age haha! Have you had a private early one before?

Hello to all the new ladies Congratulations on your BFP!

Need some advice from you all please. The past few days I have been having cramps on just my left side, today they seem alot worse. I stupidly Googled and am now worrying this pregnancy is ecptopic Have had no spotting and am Ill anyway so not sure if pain could just be related to that. Basically not sure if I should call the out of hrs Dr although they're always funny if it's not an emergency. haven't had my booking appt yet so have no contact with a midwife. or am I just panicking. Help!

I had an early NHS scan last time at around 7 weeks, and saw a heartbeat which was incredibly reassuring - had been having cramps so dr referred me to early pregnancy unit at my local hospital.

pinkbuttons how many weeks are you? If the cramps are bad I'd ring the out of hours and ask for a phone consultation to see what they suggest - if it's only light cramping it could all be normal but for your own peace of mind you should call!

Am about 6+4 rockchick phoned out of hrs which seems to have changed since i last had to use them a yr ago. receptionist was lovely, they're calling in the next 2 hrs. cramps are really bad at times but seem intermittent. DH has suddenly come over all positive now that I'm having a worry.

Let us know how you get on Pink - I'm sure it will just be round ligament pain or something equally normal but will keep my fingers crossed for you

I said hello earlier in the thread but I got a bit lost at the bottom of a page.

I am 5+3 ish, due 8th October. I've got one DD who will be 3 later this month.

All ok here. Trying not to be neurotic as having some bleeding (which I had last time and all was well) and not too many symptoms, but reassured by clearblue digi gradually going from 1-2, to 2-3 and finally 3+ today since I first got a BFP 10 days ago.

Anyone else having trouble sleeping? I don't remember it from last time (until 3rd trimester) but am really struggling to get to sleep and get back to sleep when I wake (or when DD wakes me). Am dusting off my Natal Hypnotherapy CDs to see if they help.

Welcome carcassone. Looks like your EDD is the same as mine - 8th October.

I've not tried a clear blue digital but am keen to now you guys are all producing dates. Sounds quite exciting!

Whenever I do take a pregnancy test it seems to come up as positive very quickly and I've not yet had a pale one (have taken 5 now). Are HCG levels higher with twins then?

I've panicked myself about ectopic pregnancies too after some shoulder pain today. Something I probably shouldn't have asked Dr Google about. Everything else seems fine with me though so I am going to put it down to sleeping funnily. I hope all goes well with you Pink, let us know what they have to say.

Hi carcassonne sounds like you are taking a balanced view! Can I ask what natal hypnotherapy cd you have? I'd like to try it this time as previous experience was so awful I'm already worrying about it. Also well remember the lack of sleep in 3rd trimester so if a bit of hypnotherapy relaxation helps that would be great!

pink how did the call go? natalie its been over two weeks for me but seems like forever!

H2b came home from boys night earlier (save you reading back, he wS being very quiet and i was worried about him not copeing with news) and even with a hangover, which normally means darkened room and little conversation, he cooked breakie, unpacked overnight bag, hung up washing id done and left in machine then suggested our first pointless sex since finding out. What a turnaround! Helped by mist of said mates already having kids so they are proof life doesnt stop and you can still be cool. Film and takeaway tonight.

Any of you ladies had to dodge any invites or gone out and kept it hidden? We had a pub lunch with friends last weekend and i would normally have a wine or pear cider so h2b got the round and i had blackcurrant and lemonade in a wine glass. Wasnt too bad actually!

pink I did the same as you and got worried about an ectopic! But then the pain went away. How's yours? I'll still mention it to the mw next week though
