Your not alone 34pinkladyapple this is dc#2 for me and hubby and he's acting like I'm not pregnant either even tho this one was as planned as dd1 but I think they find it hard to get as excited as us ladies until they see something in black and white (and I'm not talking writing) I have to say one plus side to being pregnant is I don't have to empty the kitties litter tray hehe, but kitty is allowed outside into big wide world from next week so that novelty won't last long lol. Still got a rather upset stomach today at 4+2 but the burning cramping sensation has gone now and I managed to eat a sandwich at lunch so that's a start :-) met up with a friend today who's 15 weeks preg go and she's looking very pregnant! Dc#2 for her too so exciting xxx

34PinkLadyApple · 08/02/2013 16:36

ah don't feel bad bowl, savour it while it lasts! Grin

Since telling a couple nine of people I've been offered 2 preg books, a red Bugaboo travel system, Mamas & Papas cot bed, changing station and storage box, loads of V-tech toys for a bit later on and a moses basket and stand! At this rate I won't need to buy ANYTHING! They've all kindly said they'll keep hold of them until I'm ready to take them (at least until after the 12 week scan).

Is anyone else suffering from random mono-hiccups?

Natalieand · 08/02/2013 16:42

Hahahahncouldnt help but chuckle when I read 'since telling a couple nine' lol we have five ppl well I say we, mainly me cos I can't keep it to myself I want the world to no haha xx

Iheartcrunchiebars · 08/02/2013 16:46

Wish me luck fellow upduffs I'm on a hen weekend this weekend. So tired!!

SeriousStuff · 08/02/2013 16:47

Can I join? Got my BFP last week. I'm 31, this is DC1 and EDD is Oct 4 (or thereabaouts!)

GP appointment done, just waiting for a letter from the hospital now. Every day seems to be dragging!

BowlFullofJelly · 08/02/2013 16:50

Yes you are probably right!

I don't have many friends with children, but by far the best present I got was a MASSIVE package 2nd hand of baby grows and vests. Friend was a bit 'um' about giving them to me, I loved them! I literally didn't buy DS any clothes until he was about 4 months old as I got given so much. However PinkLady your friends sound awesome! Very Envy at all that stuff!

34PinkLadyApple · 08/02/2013 16:50

Welcome serious and congrats! natalie I have valid reasons for telling those two nine people not.

Has anyone elses skin gone really dry?

BowlFullofJelly · 08/02/2013 16:52

Fake antibiotics at the the ready crunchie Grin

Congrats SeriousStuff and welcome!

Am I the only personal who hasn't seen GP yet Confused

34PinkLadyApple · 08/02/2013 16:54

oh and good luck crunchie
a friend of mine was 11 weeks on a hen do last year, she said it was great as she was chief photographer, chief taxi hailer, whipp money treasurer and memory blank filler-iner next morning. She said it helped her prepare for being relied upon by useless human(s). Have fun lady.

34PinkLadyApple · 08/02/2013 16:57

bowl no, me either. i didn't get further than the receptionist as she told to ring the local Pre-natal / Maternity unit. My appointment there is March 5th (i'll be 10 weeks). I did call the doctor back about my asthma medication to check it still ok to take but nothing apart from that!

Natalieand · 08/02/2013 17:01

I should have my booking appt next week and an early scan by the end of the month as I was a little scarce in the truth about my LMP so they would have to give me a dating scan, sneaky sneaky but I couldn't physically wait until end of march haha so ill have one end of feb at about 7-8 weeks exciting stuff xx got gp again this Tuesday to check my blood pressure again as it was quite high at the last appt x

MrsAFlowerpot · 08/02/2013 17:27

Evening ladies, gosh this is dragging isn't it? I'm anxious about things currently. Still getting cramps, though doctor said at my referral appt on Wednesday that if im not doubled over in pain I shouldn't worry Hmm Also have lots of creamy discharge (sorry tmi!). Very very tired but would like things to feel more stable. Was much less anxious when pregnant with DD - but possibly as have been ttc for so long.

Natalieand · 08/02/2013 17:56

Sure is dragging flowerpot when I think I'm only 4 weeks pregnant it sounds ridiculous lol I can't wait to get into more substantial numbers x

tuckingfits · 08/02/2013 18:13

Hi. I haven't seen a medical professional yet either. I had to take my sample along on Tuesday to be sent away to be tested & told to ring for result & make appt to see midwife. Only to find out result isn't back yet & can't book until it is. How bloody hard is it to stick a pregnancy test in a pot of wee?! I've done it lots in the last couple of weeks!!

Frustrated as I just want to get appt booked. Midwife only works from our surgery one day every second week & next week is one of those weeks. I want to see her next week!! Grrrr.

GettingObsessive · 08/02/2013 18:21

Bowl I haven't been either yet - I was offered an appointment this week that I couldn't make and in any case it was not with my GP and I wanted to see him because he's so lovely. I usually emerge from his consulting room roaring with laughter Smile

Anyway, my appointment is on Monday morning now - I'm prepare for it to be an anticlimax, but at least I know the doc will be nice about it.

BowlFullofJelly · 08/02/2013 18:29

Glad its not just me then, don't feel so left out now!

Am about to have a tantrum as am cuddled up on sofa with DS, and have to get up and go out. I DONt WANT TO!

pinkbuttons · 08/02/2013 18:42

wouldnt feel lwt out about not seeing drs mime just said congrats now dont eat these things off you go. didnt even check. do have midwife and scan booked though.

Am lay on sofa feeling sorry fpr myself have stupid cold that has gone straight to my chest and I sound like a man. On a positive note it has given me a genuinr excuse for not going out tonight and today was my last day of my placement so will now only have to be up at 7 on a Tuesday and Thursday which Im hoping will help the morning sickness...

Natalieand · 08/02/2013 18:59

Seriously cannot believe how tired I am!!

Sanjifair · 08/02/2013 19:51

Hello all! Just got my BFP, EDD 12th October. This will be my second DC, have a 2 and half year old. Have been trying for number two for a whole year now and was beginning to think it would never happen. Very early days as only 5 weeks and am petrified of something going wrong (am quite long in the tooth). Still, getting the BFP after a whole year is an absolute result and we are delighted! DH got promoted today so a double celebration!

cherrycherry41 · 08/02/2013 20:06

tuckingfits im exactly the same! went to docs thurs 1st feb told them i was up-duffed told me to pee in a pot first thing in morning and bring it back- didnt tell me to ring for result though? last time they posted me booking appt and scan date, cant remember how long it took though..
Its only been a week, maybe im being a bit impatient :')

tuckingfits · 08/02/2013 20:22

Hi cherry - glad I'm not alone with having to pee in a pot because I obviously can't be trusted to know if I'm upduffed or not. I was told to phone today for results & booking in. Still disappointed. And exhausted!!

GTbaby · 08/02/2013 20:22

Bowl. Ditto. I've sent my referral to hospital. Same as last year. No plans to see GP except if MS kicks in.

Flowerpot dont worry about TMI. Lol. By the time we have our LOs we will have shared way to much!

roxvox · 08/02/2013 20:59

I've just discovered the baby clothing and furniture section of the Next catalogue. Bad move! I want to buy it all... Blush

Soupqueen · 09/02/2013 07:54

I've not seen the Dr yet either, but phoned them when I tested to check that the antibiotics I'm on are safe. Thankfully they are, and they told me to book an appointment to come in for a chat and to "get into the system" so Monday first thing it is!

Cramping is still my only symptom, it's odd, I get such painful boobs when my period is due but they feel normal (apart from an infected cyst that the anti-b's are for).

We've told no-one and planning to hold out until after the scan. I'm just bursting with it though and desperate to blab!

Rockchick1984 · 09/02/2013 08:06

I've self referred to the midwife, as my dr's surgery wanted tests and all sorts doing there - I recently moved house and don't want to be mooching back and forth trying to prove I'm pregnant! Rang the community midwives office and they were happy to take my word for it :) so will get sent a letter for scan and booking appt in a few weeks.

Bit confused by the clearblue digi I did - by dates I'm now 4 weeks pregnant, but the digi said 3-4 and you have to add 2 weeks to that (it goes by conception date) which would put me at least a week ahead, maybe 2. I told the MW the digi dates anyway so hopefully my scan will be a bit earlier Grin
