Rockchick1984 · 07/02/2013 17:17

So sorry Celosia Thanks

Cherry and GT I've got a single Oyster for DS and it's been a fantastic pram, have heard mixed reviews about the Oyster Max (in particular there was a thread on pushchairs topic the other day which wasn't very complimentary) - I really want the iCandy peach blossom but it depends on how far I can stretch the budget! Went through about 5 different prams with DS before finally sticking with the Oyster, so I'm hoping this will convince DH that buying cheaper will be a false economy!!

pinkbuttons · 07/02/2013 17:35

oh no celosia Im so sorry to hear that. I really hope youve got some lovely support in RL Thanks

Celosia · 07/02/2013 17:41

Hi Pink - not really :((( we've only just moved here to SA so I don't really have many girlfriends yet.... Feel like a complete and utter failure.

Wickedgirl · 07/02/2013 17:54

Sorry to hear that celosia. X

Look after yourself

cherrycherry41 · 07/02/2013 17:57

the only bad review ive heard about oyster max so far is that the rear seat doesnt have a great deal of space for the larger child.. id most definately try before i buy but wont need it to be overly spacious as DD is still only little xx

pinkbuttons · 07/02/2013 18:08

JellyCurls · 07/02/2013 18:25

celiosa I am so sorry for your loss and wish I could come and give you rl hug. Be kind to yourself and I hope you get a sticky bean soon x

To ladies looking at doubles I can't recommend mini city twin highly enough. We have four year age gap and was real easy to steer and narrower wheel base than most singles and one handed fold. Side by side but fits into any shop easy

Iheartcrunchiebars · 07/02/2013 19:03

So sorry to hear that. Big hugs x

roxvox · 07/02/2013 19:07

I am so sorry to hear that Celosia. I too wish I could give you a real hug. Please don't feel like a failure. I know it doesn't help much, but I am a big believer that everything happens for a reason. xx

Pinkush · 07/02/2013 20:08

Tarlia · 07/02/2013 20:31

Haylebop12 · 08/02/2013 08:59

celosia so sorry to here what our going through. Take things easy.

Congrats merlioness

How the docs this afternoon to sort out mw process. I think last time my first mw was at 8 weeks? It's starting to feel real Smile

BowlFullofJelly · 08/02/2013 09:03

Morning all, and welcome Merlioness. Gosh we have EDD's over halfway through October now, that's actually making it seem like time isn't standing still!

So, early days I know, but who has been thinking about/decided where to give birth? Am in a quandary - my local hospital is apparently one of the best maternity units in London with a nice birth centre BUT I had my son there and the birth was dreadful! Midwives were awful during labour and on the postnatal ward, and generally was a vile experience. However looking at my other options, they get slated as much as this one. So do I go with the closet and apparently the best, and put my poor care down to a one off as I was inconsiderate enough to have a baby on Xmas Eve when midwives didn't want to be there? Or take my chances somewhere else?

Rockchick1984 · 08/02/2013 09:11

Bowlfullofjelly I'm hoping to have a home birth this time - nothing wrong with the care I received last time and managed a drug free labour despite DS being back to back, but I panicked with the transfer to hospital so would like to avoid that if at all possible! Plus DH doesn't drive so it would be a case of getting a taxi unless it was daytime and my dad (who would be minding DS) could take us but don't want to wake DS in the night for a hospital trip :)
