FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 03/05/2013 18:36

kitty I'd like to say I'm hoping he'll stay put a little bit longer; but I'm not. Grin I've had enough now and would be quite happy if he came sooner rather than later.

Librarina · 03/05/2013 19:09

I've just spent a lovely hour or so re-reading our last thread and this one. Haven't we come far, from massive boobs and all day sickness to massive bumps and all day tiredness!

Bring. I love your bump picture, you can see how bubs has grown since your midwifery conference.

And, big news Kitty your baby's spun herself around (with your help) You are both so clever!

I'm just gearing up for my weekend home alone. DH has stocked up the fridge, I have a stack of rubbish DVDs and my Mum on speed dial, it's all good. Gonna miss him tho! I may be in here A Lot!

kittykatsforever · 03/05/2013 20:32

Wow that is amazing bring- but seriously has something that size really got to come out?!? Eeeeeeep
Frus I've had enough too, 5 days till term and that's fine by me!
Lib that sounds perfect are you sure you don't want to borrow my dd to practice? She loves books.......

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 04/05/2013 06:49

Aaaahhh. After our chat on here yesterday, DH had the nerve to breathe and move last night.

kittykatsforever · 04/05/2013 07:23

Mine too frus Hmm actually think it was just I was too got and concious of waking him by moving all the time etc so end outcome still a shit nights sleep

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 04/05/2013 07:42

Our bed squeaks when he moves. Not me. Just him. Confused it winds me up no end. I'm the size of a house, and it doesn't squeak when I roll over. Angry
And just as I was nodding off he announced that there was a drunk in tescos at 7am yesterday. I don't think he was impressed by my sarcastic "how exciting" reply. I really couldn't muster the energy to say anything more worthwhile.

I was freezing last night.

bringonthetrumpets · 04/05/2013 14:27

We're just all failing miserably in the sleeping department, eh?

DH fell asleep on the couch and then came to bed and turned on the light at 2 am. Ah, thanks? So of course I was hungry and had to pee and then had to try to turn my brain off again before falling back to sleep while he's all passed out (with the flippin light ON). Angry I was this close to grabbing a pillow. Then he wakes up at a cheerful 6 am and declares that we are going on a family walk today in the 30 degree weather we're having. Hmm.

I'm tired.

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 04/05/2013 14:58

Can you still face walking bring the thought is a bit scary to me now.

We have sun outside today, but it's windy, so I'm not going out again. Dd2 is having a clingy day, and dd1 is bored. Grin

bringonthetrumpets · 04/05/2013 21:10

It wasn't pleasant. One very sore hip for some reason and I've definitely developed a waddle. Oh, and I was joking around with the kids that I was going to make them walk and that I was going to ride in the buggy and DS1 said "No Mum, your butt is WAY too big" Kids are just great aren't they? So honest. DS2 has also declared that I've got a GIANT belly and my baby is just SO BIG.

I'm going to lay down for a nap. All of the honesty and walking has just been too much for one day.

Librarina · 04/05/2013 21:24

I'm so tired. I took my Mum to a bargain baby warehouse and just panicked that that there's far too much STUFF in the world and my baby needs none of it. So we ran away and went for a brew and a sticky bun.

I did manage to finally buy some PJs in the supermarket, not the glam ones I was hoping for, but men's bottoms and a stretchy top. I know they're only to wear in hospital but I did so want nice ones, but there was nothing that was pretty with dark bottoms and easy-boob access.

DH is away so I'm hoping for a decent nights sleep.

OP posts:
FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 04/05/2013 22:04

Brew and sticky buns sounds like a good choice lib I hope you get some sleep.

bring the honesty is fab isn't it. Grin I seem to have taught dd1 to flatter, I say I'm huge and she says no mummy you're only fat because youre pregnant. Grin

Does "count the kicks" count if you are playing chase the foot? We were playing for about 10minutes feel slightly queezy now I reckon his foot is about 4-5cm long. And boy can he kick.

I nested the garden today. Grin 5 raised beds weeded and composted from our heap. Swept the patio amazing how much dead foliage falls off a windy roof when seaguls nest And a ton of rubbish cleared out too. I might actually be able to have a nice long weekend spralled on a sun lounger in my nice tidy garden now. Shame a cool pims is off limits. Sad

Jojobump1986 · 04/05/2013 22:22

Today I: wandered around the shops for ages getting DS's shoes checked & finding presents for 2 of DH's cousins who have just announced they're pregnant copycats as well as a first outfit for DS2; came home; made lunch; ate; made stew; took DS to the park for nearly an hour; came home; made yoghurt, bread & angel delight lollies; ate stew... Am now waiting for the bread to finish cooking so I can go crawl into a nice hot bath before collapsing into bed! My hip hurts, my back hurts, I have heartburn & I'm so stiff & achy all over that my 80yo grandmother with Parkinson's & cancer could move faster than me! On the plus side, I now have an exercise ball for bouncing on! Would be nice if I didn't ache too much to use it!

10 days 1 hour & 40 mins until 'term'. Wink

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 04/05/2013 22:27

Blimby jojo are you mad? Grin that is one seriously busy day.

bringonthetrumpets · 04/05/2013 23:29

Wow lady, that's a crazy busy day. You are going to sleep so well tonight minus the sore achy hips Enjoy that bath and one more day off the countdown.

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 04/05/2013 23:44

Anyone else find that their back hurts and they can't straighten up properly when they drag their arse out of bed for the 50th time to go to the bathroom?

Lorelei353 · 05/05/2013 08:44

Yep frus. I'm generally fine during the day but when I get at night I'm like a crone.

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 05/05/2013 08:49

I still feel like a crone this morning.

Librarina · 05/05/2013 10:19

Can I join the early morning hobble. I'm fine once I'm limbered up, but spend too long in one position (and that includes sleeping) and I just seize up.

Going on our tour of the hospital this afternoon... I feel like I should have some questions lined up but I can't think of any. What would you ask?

OP posts:
FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 05/05/2013 13:10

Do you go on a ward after labour?
Do you labour in a private room?
Chance of pool being empty (if you want it)
How long are you likely to stay in for?
Do you get the same midwife throughout?

bringonthetrumpets · 05/05/2013 14:25

Ooooooowwwwwwww. I'm joining the crones group as well. These hips are miserable. I had to just get up this morning because it hurt too much to keep trying to sleep. Good lord I can't wait for bodywork on Tuesday! I have a special love for my chiropractor :)

35 weeks. Time has begun to come to a stand-still for me and now it feels like things are taking forever. Got a carseat yesterday and almost done getting the random birth supplies for the homebirth (although I'm hoping it all goes so fast that we don't need most of it!). Yelp! Still 2 rooms to paint before next week (on a mission that the house will be done needing paint by the time I'm 36 weeks!) and then final projects. I feel like I'm in a time-warp right now. It's going slow, but it's going fast because I still need to do things on my list. Oy.

Jojobump1986 · 05/05/2013 14:45

I seem to be in a time-warp too. I was just thinking about how long I have left & I couldn't remember if I was 34 weeks with 6 weeks left or 36 weeks with 4 to go... I'm 35+5...! Hmm I'm not even halfway through the latch hook rug I'm supposed to be making & have several other things on my to-do list but I'm feeling too crone-like to do anything right now so I shall hobble upstairs for a nap instead! DH is out for the afternoon & DS is asleep so I should be able to get an hour or 2, y'know, if the heartburn eases up & I can get comfortable in my pillow mountain! Don't fancy my chances much! Sad

Oh, exciting new development... I must've properly leaked last night because today I reek of stale milk! I remember the distinctive aroma from when my milk came in with DS1... I can't believe I'm leaking enough to make such a stench already! Blush

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 05/05/2013 14:59

In the nicest possible way I'm so pleased I'm not the only waddling crone.

I almost freaked out a bit earlier when I started to develop a migrane aura. I seem to have warded it off with some caffene.

bringonthetrumpets · 05/05/2013 16:02

Oooh boy. My sister student midwife (and the only other student or midwife in our community expecting atm) had her baby this morning! Now it's all starting to feel a bit more real b/c that means I'm NEXT around here.

Just snapped at DH for being an idiot. I have been talking about putting in a small veg garden and a flower plot in the front of the house since Jan and he STILL keeps talking about hiring some guy to come and fix up the front of the house. Ffs man, LISTEN to what I'm trying to tell you, pls! Hire the guy to do every other space around our house if you want to, but just let me play gardener in my tiny allowed area. Angry. Urgh. MEN.

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 05/05/2013 20:36

Claim the space bring everyone needs a veg/fruit/flower patch. I have little fruit bushes.

Rant alert - sorry.

I am sick and tired of being pregnant now. I'm knackered, I feel like a waddling whale, the icky heartburn, I hate not being able to easily stand up, or get in and out of the bath. I'm tired of going for a wee every 5 minutes. And I really dislike the constant feeling that I need to go to the toilet (#2) all the time, despite the fact that i don't, and I'm not constipated either emotionally I feel like I have pms, and an snappy and narky. And have that pant checking feeling you get when you know you're due on tomorrow because you're regular as clockwork but you have to keep checking in case it arrives early.

How on earth am I meant to cope with another 4 weeks of this? I swear I've not been this bad/impatient before.

kittykatsforever · 05/05/2013 21:58

Frus I'm with you on discomfort, I'm not to bad at walking etc although slow but I hate not being able to sit comfortably, can't lie in bed and watch tv, can't sit and can't get up once I'm down and don't even get me started on trying to tie my shoe laces!
I'm also with you on waiting and ( tmi alert) have had 3 no 2's today Shock plus everyone now classes my due date as this Wednesday as that's what I went at last time so it's are you ready yet and it might be in a few days so I know I'm going to get asked everyday any sigh etc which will get very boring ( especially as I'd love it to be Wednesday sigh) oh and started really itching again now the last few days- looks like ill be heading for the oc test which I though I'd definatly avoided this time as I'd come so late on without any sign
