FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 02/05/2013 12:38

I almost did that with dd1 jojo she got to almost putting it in her mouth and then decided that it wasn't going to happen. Lol.

Officially due on the 31st, (so 4 weeks to go) but dd2 was a week early, and I've not at any point thought that this one will go past 39wks.

MW said I've got to get past the bankholiday, then I'll be close enough to term not to be classed as prem. she doesn't want me dilly-dallying at home if I think it's labour, but at the same time they can fade away.

Think I'm going to start making a note of times.

kittykatsforever · 02/05/2013 14:06

Ohhh frus does mw think it might be imminent then? I wasn't engaged at all yesterday but I surpose that's a good thing if it is breech, she did say there's less chance of her comming as early too if she is breech as bum doesnt grind down as much etc and tell cervix to get ready, is it so much to ask to have the same head down quick labour at 37wks I had first time Winkjust can't wait til scan tomorrow to get the ball rolling now whatever is going to be

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 02/05/2013 14:17

I don't know kitty, I think she was a bit worried by the number that I'd had so close together, and based on speed of previous labours.

That said they do seem to have eased off this afternoon. and getting well and truely booted internally now.

Librarina · 02/05/2013 14:26

Oooh it's getting exciting. And not so early that it's horribly worrying (although sooner that we'd like perhaps?)

I was going to pack my bag when I go on Mat leave, and that's not till 13th May but then again I'm showing no signs of readiness at all!

Are any of you having any kind of party/gathering of friends before your babies arrive?

Does anything seem to help with the BH ctx, Frus? Can you squeeze in a warm bath with epsom salts? Tiny glass of red wine? Ina May Gaskin even suggests a small shot of whisky in her Spiritual Midwifery book Grin. Sometimes taking magnesium citrate or cal/mag helps the muscles to relax too. Eek! I can't believe it's all coming up so quickly for us. If it helps, I've got BH nearly constantly and they are quite a pain in the evenings no matter what I do (even taking the disgusting Cramp Bark tincture doesn't help in the evenings).

Wow Jo! I can't believe you're already getting let down feelings. Your milk is practically going to start spurting once your placenta is delivered.

Any ideas what you are thinking of doing with the cute little breechling in there, Kitty?

It's kind of exciting buying all the necessities, isn't it Lor? Means that it's actually going to happen!

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 02/05/2013 14:36

Not tried anything yet bring might chomp some cal/mag. No bath until I've done the school run and walked the hound. Sad and don't har any alcohol in the house at all.

I feel very tired now. So fx I can have an early night and be fine tomorrow.

lib no get together here, but I'm not that sociable anyway. But it is all starting to feel very scary exciting, and very real.

Lorelei353 · 02/05/2013 15:19

lib I'm having an afternoon tea with the girls get-together - just in my flat. It's NOT a baby shower but just a chance to see the girls before I disappear for a bit into a post-baby haze.

kittykatsforever · 02/05/2013 16:19

I'm not doing anything this time, I could I guess but it feels unnecessary this close to first one but did have a surprise baby shower for dd1, it was abit late as I'd already had her lol so she was 1 wk old but they wernt to know I'd go early and to be honist it was quite nice her getting cooed over and passed around, saved having lots of visitors seperatly and they all got to see her in one go making it measure for us, I really enjoyed it but its personal taste, not sure I'd organise my own though although had a nice lunch with the girls from work before I left
Bring think im going for the attempted turn if she's still breech, just hope if I do it works, feel the cs is just really not the option for me so just feel I have to, what's your views on it? Do you think it's worth a try?
Love that bring our mw has told you to have alcohol frus, why can't that be the cure for breech aswel, a nice cold pint - well if you insist Wink

Jojobump1986 · 02/05/2013 17:39

You know how I said I'd be whinging about baby being in my ribs in a few days... Guess what?! Not sure if I prefer not being able to breathe or feeling like he's about to fall out! Am beginning to wish he would 'fall out' already - not sure how DS1 will handle me trying to force-breastfeed him!

I'm not this bad in RL, honest! I have several friends that I think are struggling to conceive so I try to keep pregnancy-related moans to a minimum!

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 02/05/2013 18:55

jojo you need both at the same time! Wink

I think I possibly am this whingey in RL, possibly worse. Blush I even moan to the dog if there's noone about.

Jojobump1986 · 02/05/2013 20:17

Oh, that's where I'm going wrong... We haven't got a dog! Grin

How are you feeling now Frus?

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 02/05/2013 21:12

Not noticed and BH for a while. But had a lovely bath earlier, and totally knackered now.

The dog is useful sometimes I can whinge to him, and he has a 6th sence for something. Grin unfortunately he's a total nutter and I have to walk him.

Jojobump1986 · 03/05/2013 00:38

Just noticed blending pop up on another thread. She'll be having her twins when she's 37+3. I guess that must be really, really soon! How exciting!

Jojobump1986 · 03/05/2013 01:37

Argh! Angry

DH is breathing! I've been wanting to go to sleep since before 10 & when we eventually got into bed he went straight to sleep & started breathing! It's like trying to sleep through a gale in a tent. Except I probably wouldn't be so hot if I was in a tent in a gale!
I woke him up to suggest he could try lying on his side instead & now it's worse than ever! I feel like muffling the sound with my pillow over his face... Or shouting or hitting him & then I realise that I might be being a tad irrational & that makes me want to cry! Blush
I'd go & sleep on the sofa but I'd be uncomfortable & either wouldn't sleep or I'd wake up aching in the morning.

I just want to be a sensible temperature & asleep! Is that really so much to ask?! I can see myself having to wait until 5.30 when I can reasonably wake him up & kick him out of the room just so I can get a couple of hours before DS wakes up! It's not fair! I'm pregnant with his child. Surely if I can't sleep it's only fair that he should stay up too, not be the reason for me being awake!

I'll take my pity-party downstairs & sulk by myself now...! Sad

bringonthetrumpets · 03/05/2013 03:43

Ew. I hate it when they breathe. Just stop already and go breathe somewhere else. I always want to take a pillow and hit DH really really hard in the head when he does that. I hope you're able to get some sleep on the couch tonight in peace.

How did I not know that Blending was having TWINS?

I'm currently being forced to watch hockey on TV, urgh. I think I'll take myself to bed with my stupid sore throat and stuffy nose and heartburn (which is quite the combo, let me tell you). A fellow doula friend is coming over in the morning to paint a very artistic belly painting (yay!!) and take some pix for her website. I'm excited!

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 03/05/2013 07:04

Morning.

Ugh the breathing it's like the snoring, only worse because it doesn't wake them up.
But ladies, ladies, you need to loose the guilt. if you pull their pillow out from under them and wack them over the head with it, and then act all shocked when they wake, and ask them "why would you do that to yourself? Who hits themself over the head with their own pillow?" Grin

Dd has been awake most of the night. This should make for a fun day at work. I shall blame the pregnancy hormones if I loose the plot today.

Ooh and no BH since yesterday.

kittykatsforever · 03/05/2013 07:12

Oh Jojo I hate it when they breathe too, luckily the last 2 nights dh has been on nights so I've had a bed to myself but I was too hot last night and woke around 1 then cursed myself for the first time I've not brought a drink up in the last few days where I've actually wanted to drink it!
Friday today which much to my shame makes me very happy as dd is at nursery..... Yes I'm a bad mother!
She is still fast asleep which is typical when I could be getting her ready now, on Wednesday on my own she was up at 5;30!! I felt like I'd had her hours ( well I had) before I could wake dh at 9 and he just thought that was early- no appreciation!

kittykatsforever · 03/05/2013 14:57

The baby's turned, the baby's turned!!!
So so happy Grin
She's aparently 6lb 9 at the min little pudding

bringonthetrumpets · 03/05/2013 15:34

Ahhhhh! Yay yay yay Kitty! You must be feeling SO relieved!

bringonthetrumpets · 03/05/2013 15:37

Oh. And having a little in nursery and enjoying your alone time is not something to feel guilty about (nor does it make you a bad mother). I think we all need our alone time in order to be better mothers! I absolutely love the time off I get when the boys are in montessori school and I feel so happy and ready to see them with a cup full of patience when they get home in the afternoons. These are our last few weeks of being able to freely move around without a tiny person needing our attention and energy every.single.moment. of the day so enjoy it!

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 03/05/2013 16:22

Oh that is fantastic new kitty!!!

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 03/05/2013 17:08

Ugh. So so tired. My work colleagues have put bets on when ds arrives. Not sure if I should be worried that nobody gives me longer than 2 more weeks. Confused

Although after a day at work I can safely say that I can no longer;
walk without waddling,
cross my legs,
bend over to pick something up of the floor,
or sit in a lady-like manner.
Grin

kittykatsforever · 03/05/2013 17:43

Thanks girls Grin
And frus I wouldn't be worried I'd be hoping Wink I'm gona do everything in my power to get this little one engaged now so she doesn't move again and then out!!

bringonthetrumpets · 03/05/2013 17:53

Put up a new pic. One of my friends is working on expanding her portfolio and is an excellent artist so I volunteered my bump :) It's so beautiful! I don't want to wash it off.

FrustratedSycamoresRocks · 03/05/2013 18:05

Ah wow bring so cool.
