New thread created in haste before the old one fills up!

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
LotsaTuddles · 01/02/2013 09:59

So sorry to hear that saggy.

I feel deserted by drs and midwives too. Have had 1 call from midwife to say that my booking in appt is 15th feb, but that's it.

I have been feeling rotten, feeling like I could throw up all day every day, today though, I feel fine. Felt a bit sick till I had my breakfast but I feel fine, normally around now I'd start feeling sick again, but not today, not sure whether to be grateful or worried

jm233 · 01/02/2013 10:02

Noooo CatPuss Sad
You will be missed! I hope you recover quickly and get back on the bus really soon!

chocciemousse · 01/02/2013 10:57

Catpuss I am so sorry. Look after yourself and hide in your bed for as long as need be. Sending big hugs to you.

Rosy do you mean 10 weeks today or next friday? If it is next Friday your EDD would be 7th September ( I am a day later)

sumrandomgirl · 01/02/2013 12:13

Would like to say a big Get Well to those with horrid flu, I am feeling wiped out as it is and finding the usual chores round the house reduce me to needing a full nights sleep, I feel so lazy!!! Wouldn't like to be ill on top of this....get in bed an snuggle an get better soon xxx Smile

LexyMa · 01/02/2013 12:38

{{hugs}} Saggy.

HettySunshine · 01/02/2013 12:54

Oh saggypuss, I'm so sorry. Big hugs and I hope you're back on board soon. Xxx

andadietcoke · 01/02/2013 13:15

Saggy that is utterly shit after the emotional roller coaster you've been on over the last month. Lots of love and luck for your next trip on the bus, and thank you for all your support and being generally, bloody lovely.

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 01/02/2013 13:40

saggy unMNy hugs.

SpanishLady · 01/02/2013 14:11

So sorry Catpuss.

I am too getting off the bus - I woke this morning to some pain and brief but heavy red bleeding - my scan a couple of hours later confirmed its gone and they think I must have passed it this morning given its all gone and as my bleeding has slowed down and I feel ok, nothing worse then the first day of a period.

I feel very appreciate of my little boy who when I got home gave me a big kiss and said 'no sad mama' and wiped my tears. Once I have had another proper period we will definitely be trying again.

While we were waiting there was a couple there who obviously had bad news too - the lady looked utterly desolate and her partner looked in shock - who knows their story but it made me feel fortunate that its already pretty much over, I do have a baby at home and while I feel very sad I also feel pragmatic and know it could be worse all things considered.

The consultant was kind but practical which I needed - so the NHS gets my sincere thanks.

Have very healthy and happy pregnancies ladies - it was lovely to 'meet' you all (so to speak!) and my warmest wishes to you all.

X SpanishLady

amiready · 01/02/2013 15:15

I'm so sorry Spanishlady and catpuss. That's very sad, especially this far in the whole thing. All the best to you and your future bubbas.

We won't forget you who have got off the bus! I still remember all those from the very beginning.
Best of luck to you.

badguider · 01/02/2013 15:18

Feel terrible for you catpuss and spanishlady - all the best to you for the future whatever you both decide to do Sad

For the rest of us, my goodness it's a worrying time. I had no idea how hard weeks 6,7,8 would be and therefore how much you have gone through physically. I guess I thought that 'early' miscarriage would come before the pregnancy had too much effect on daily life but now I realise that's just not the case Sad.

My life is already completely upside down with constant nausea and exhaustion whether this pregnancy holds or not. Have tried travelbands today... can't decide if they're having any effect or not, I feel nauseous still but maybe slightly less.. am also shattered and starving all the bloody time even though food turns my stomach. I am so glad I work for myself as I just HAVE to sleep for an hour or two in the afternoon and still go to bed around 9pm.

KamikazeeKid · 01/02/2013 16:06

Gosh more sad news :-( really sorry ladies.

Kittenkatzen · 01/02/2013 16:48

So sorry spanishlady :( your DS sounds lovely, give him an extra big squidge tonight x

CheeseStrawCraving · 01/02/2013 16:59

Hi ladies, CarrieJayne here, changed my rubbish name as v boring! not much better now but def true, my pa makes the best cheese straws ever. Off topic though.

Just wanted to say so so sorry to the ladies who've left, rubbish news, especially as it feels like we've been chatting for so long Sad

CheeseStrawCraving · 01/02/2013 17:00

Anybody else got a hideously spotty chest/top of back? Just came up this morning and look like a teenager!

Readytosettle · 01/02/2013 17:19

No, but I have got a horribly spotty face! It's like proper teenage acne....am having to cake my face in make-up....I didn't suffer from acne as a teenager, but am definitely making up for it now!

Whyriskit · 01/02/2013 17:32

saggy and spanish lady , I'm truly sorry for your losses. Thinking of you.

MeanMrsMustard · 01/02/2013 17:56

So sorry Saggy and Spanish. Thinking of you both x

kimjayne · 01/02/2013 18:39

there's so much sad news on here this last few days! I hope all of you leaving the thread will be well looked after and back on here again soon. It makes me wonder whether its a sensible decision for us to start telling close family this weekend? We planned to tell my parents and siblings and the DH parents this Sunday! I guess in the grand scheme of things we are still only in the early days! It just feels like such a long time to wait until 12 weeks. My sickness has pretty much vanished now. Im a nervous wreck with worry. Had a nightmare with our stupid Dr Surgery today. Very rude receptionist basically refused to help me in any way. Couldn't give me an appointment unless u call on Monday before 9am. She told me to speak with my midwife but midwife says they don't assist with queries until week 16?? Sad

andadietcoke · 01/02/2013 18:43

KimJayne which hospital is closest to you? I have the phone number for the midwife triage at Stepping Hill, but to be honest unless you have pain or bleeding/spotting, they're unlikely to give you much help either. There are lots of people whose symptoms disappear and everything is fine - it's just bodies getting used to hormone levels.

Hope you get some answers soon x

Kittenkatzen · 01/02/2013 18:51

kimjayne try not to panic about the symptoms, I think a few ladies have had theirs disappear only return a few days later. Also they are supposed to wear off as your body gets used to being pg - maybe your body just got used to it super fast Smile

On the topic of telling family, we are planning on telling both sets of parents this weekend...I was a bit wobbly about it, but figured that at this point if something happened and then a family member innocently teased me on when I'm having kids (happens a lot!), it would be worse to have to explain through the tears. I'd rather they knew not to say anything now! We'll be telling dh's best friend this weekend too? And told mine the other day (which I'm kind of regretting as she's being a bit funny about it Sad)

kimjayne · 01/02/2013 19:43

hi kitten- im gonna do a test on Sunday. Just to put my mind at rest! Then we are planning to tell both sets of family in the evening when DH finishes work. Its good to hear that you were planning the same thing. Makes me feel a bit more reassured. :) I hope yours all goes well! :)

andadietcoke · 01/02/2013 19:50

KimJayne approach the HPTs with caution. Because I was feeling so negative on Wednesday I did one before I went to the EPU and the line was a lot fainter than it had been. I panicked. Was scanned at the EPU and everything was fine. Just a few words of caution...

CheeseStrawCraving · 01/02/2013 20:23

My god this pg malarkey is so stressful Confused

batfuttocks · 01/02/2013 21:11

Another one here with faint hpt at 8 weeks then normal scan a few days later. They mess with your head!

Saggy and Spanish - so sorry xx
