Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
andadietcoke · 31/01/2013 12:40

Saggy I'm so sorry.

SGJ · 31/01/2013 12:40

I'm so sorry saggy, I really am. So sad you won't be continuing the journey. Your family sound wonderful though. Big hugs x

Creamtea1 · 31/01/2013 13:04

saggy im still holding out some hope after your blood tests and more scanning. I really hope you're ok, (hug)

SpanishLady · 31/01/2013 13:30

I am very sorry to hear the news the past few days and Saggy today (though maybe journey not over? fx).

Hopefully not to add but wanted to know what you ladies think? I woke up this morning to a little watery brown stain on my knickers - I went to the loo and wiped and there was some more - from 6am to now I would say that on one pad I have a little discolouring but by no means muscus-y or heavy or a lot or has anything in it - its not worth changing the pad if you see what I mean - I would say this watery brown blood/discharge is like when your period is finished and after a day or two of no bleeding you get a little bit more that you think 'mwah' to finish off.

I feel queasy but no cramps - have convinced myself my boobs arent as sore.

I know some spotting happens, I know 'brown' is better then red etc - but should I call the midwife and let her know or wait until the morning to see if it develops into anything substantial?

andadietcoke · 31/01/2013 14:17

Hi spanishlady that's exactly what I've had on and off for about the last ten days. Ended up going to the EPU on Tuesday because I had some stomach ache as well and everything's fine. They thought it was maybe old blood after things have bedded in. So in my case it's fine. How far along are you? Mine started at about 6+2.

SpanishLady · 31/01/2013 14:30

Hi andadietcoke - Im 8+4 today - so I am anxious that it cant be bedding in related - having said that this is the time a period would be due to have been ending so Im holding onto that!

I have called my surgery - the doctor is going to call me back and I'll see what she says I should do - Im expecting it to be a case of wait and see but it would be great to get an earlier scan - my 12 week one is booked for 25 Feb but unless it turns into a MC before then cant see me waiting as I just spot and not know what it might mean.

am trying not to be negative but this does suck

SpanishLady · 31/01/2013 14:59

well my doctor has booked me a scan for tomorrow morning - so I hope to have some answers then.

To get off this a bit depressing theme - can I say that I bought some taramasalata yesterday after reading the people on here raving and yes - it was pink heaven!

Poonli · 31/01/2013 15:27

Ladies - I had the exact bleeding thing last week and I booked myself into a private scan. They told me it was Implantation bleeding and all was perfectly fine. They said as long as its not actual blood and heavy (with clumps in it) and I have no pains then all is fine. I fretted for over a week with it but all is fine.

Had a really rubbish day at work today. Everything I touch has a problem. I manage a team and they are all annoying me. I'm sure its my hormones but noone knows yet so can't explain why I want to rip all their heads off. Why isn't it Friday already :(

SpanishLady · 31/01/2013 16:01

thanks Poonli - am glad it was all fine for you!

it is very nearly Friday (and sort nearly home time) so hold on!

monniemae · 31/01/2013 16:16

Spanishlady - the thing to watch for is if it is "prune juice" in colour etc as this can be a sign of ectopic.

TripleRock · 31/01/2013 16:19

Sorry to hear sad news on this thread.

Just wanted to say I had that exact same brown watery verging on beige spotting, yesterday and today. Also some dark brown stringy CM. Sorry if TMI

Lovely lady at EPU gave me and early scan and little fluttering bean is still there, but measuring a little small by my dates, 6+4 instead of 7+2. But it was a very grainy image - she was only just about able to see via the tummy scanner, (escaped dildo cam, hurray!) and I did ovulate late around CD17 so there's plenty of margin for my dates based on LMP alone to be slightly out.

Just keeping fingers and toes crossed ATM.

andadietcoke · 31/01/2013 16:23

Poonli I feel for you. Mine are driving me insane too. I think it's because I'm panicking about what they'll get up to when I'm off so I'm coming down harder on them. But seriously, some of the stuff I get for 'final checking' before it goes out (I'm a marketing manager) makes me want to cry...

fl0b0t · 31/01/2013 17:14

I'm really glad I'm off work at the moment (thought not pleased about being this sick) as my staff are driving me nuts! I've emailed them all to say I'm off sick (and I know I shouldn't have checked my email) and I've had six emails today asking me questions which need "urgent" answers! Sorry if being off sick all week isn't sick enough for them! grumps

Sorry to hear sad news today, but still got everything crossed for catpuss

Readytosettle · 31/01/2013 17:52

Just got my scan date through....not til 12th march, but that'll be 12 weeks exactly. Impressed by the efficiency of my doc :-)

kipsonline · 31/01/2013 17:52

Oh no, so sorry to catch up on more bad news, I'm going to carry on hoping catpuss.
Back to my random midwife b

kipsonline · 31/01/2013 17:57

Sorry, trying to type and overcome nausea on bus home, not a good combo.... My puking midwife def wasn't pregnant, would be a medical miracle given age IYSWIM, so am really hoping was a dodgy prawn sandwich at lunch and not the dreaded noro, as she took my bloods straight after Shock

kipsonline · 31/01/2013 18:02

It's my uni students driving me crazy, they are so negative and passive at the moment. One asked me to tell him what the exam questions are going to be next week and I literally flipped and said why don't I go the whole hog and give you the sodding answers as well ?!?!! (I am normally a vision of patience and supportiveness of course.....damn hormones Confused

jm233 · 31/01/2013 19:18

Has anyone else got itchy nipples?! They are driving me mad...

Whyriskit · 31/01/2013 19:27

Sorry to hear about those of you who are leaving the bus. Hope you are getting lots of rl support.
Had my booking appt today, was fine. Ds2 was absolutely fixated when the mw was taking my blood though.
Have an appointment with the foetal medicine specialists next week to discuss testing CVS etc as both DSs have genetic disorders. Not looking forward to it - I would quite like the next 8 weeks to be over as I also need a foetal cardiac scan at 18 weeks. Only good thing is I get a wee extra scan next week (10weeks) to check there's still an "ongoing pregnancy". oh for an uncomplicated pregnancy!

Poonli · 31/01/2013 19:56

I think my area must be really different compared to everyone elses on here. My booking in appointment isn't until 11 weeks and my scan is booked in dot on 12 weeks.

I went to see my doctor to say 'Home test says im pregnant' and she said 'great, you'll get a letter in the post telling you when to come in' and then couldn't get rid of me quick enough...

Its my first baby so understandably a bit nervous and excited too. But apart from me buying loads of books - no medical person has even told me anything. I havent even met my midwife yet.

I'm trying to persuade my husband to get a private midwife just for this pregnancy as I feel a bit in the dark and want a bit more support. Even my mum (who is the only other person i've told) is like 'great just rest'.

Feeling very hormonal today and have a craving for pineapples............

chocciemousse · 31/01/2013 19:56

Kipsonline I know how you feel. The last couple of weeks my class (year 1) have been driving me up the wall. I seem to have no patience and coupled with fatigue and sickness it was not a good combination. I am off work until the end of this week as I have been very ill this week.
I am so moody right now that I think I am going to end up having a row with my unsuspecting husband when he walks in. Everything is his fault such as the NHS being shit to the weather!

I'm so sorry to all of you who have had an MC. My heart goes out to you as I'm sure, like everyone else, it is something that is always in the back of my mind that terrifies me.

Poonli · 31/01/2013 20:00

andadietcoke - the worst is they are sending stuff out WITHOUT me checking it and its wrong!! Then I have to go in as damage control and apologise. I think their subconscience knows i'm pregnant and purposely driving me insane just to see how long till I crack.......(I feel like i'm in The Matrix) :)

chocciemousse · 31/01/2013 20:03

Poonli I'm with you on being feeling left out in the dark. I am from Australia and hae subsequently ended up in London as my husband is English. All of my friends and family back home have had amazin, ongoing care, have the same midwives when they give birth and know which doc will be delivering their baby. They have constant scans and check ups and I feel like I am receiving no care at all. I have to wait 2 weeks just to get an appointment with a GP.

Kittenkatzen · 31/01/2013 20:09

jm YES me!! I had that yesterday, very weird and I had to try and keep subtly brushing my arm across my front Confused

fl0b0t · 31/01/2013 20:16

poonli I agree- my doctors are lovely, but you are left a bit in the dark. I have my booking in appt booked for 8+4 (so two weeks from now)- the doctor said it would be at ten weeks, the last at reception said it's done at 8-10 so we found a date that suited. I believe that at my booking in appt I will be referred for my scan? Can that be right? Some of you lot seem to have scan dates booked alongside booking in?

Who knows? I may end up going back to the dr next week to get signed off anyway.

Idea of an early scan is getting more appealing.....

chocciemousse sorry to hear you've been off too- bloody boring eh? Any recommendations of stuff to do?
