Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Excellent work on the shopping eek :o

Is anyone else still firmly in the barely any symptoms camp? I'm 7+5 now and apart from being hungrier than usual and ready for bed by 9pm, I really do just feel like a slightly chubby me still - and even that could be explained by all the extra food/lack of real exercise). Hearing you ladies compare MS notes is really making me worry that there's something wrong down there :( I know it's possible to have a healthy pregnancy with little/no symptoms but it's not exactly common either as far as I can tell. I have thought about asking for an early scan but I've no history of mc (1st pg).....and DH thinks I'm bonkers and worrying unnecessarily. To him, no bleeding = everything is fine! Sigh. Why does 12 weeks have to be so bloody far away!!

Creamtea1 · 29/01/2013 15:40

kitten I felt fine till just before 7 weeks and then the nausea started with a vengeance :( so there may still be time for you! But at the mo don't stress and enjoy the feeling ok - I think catpuss has been fairly sickness free too apart from in very early days.

jm233 · 29/01/2013 15:48

CatPuss- I hope they are able to clarify things for you or offer you an early scan!

Kitten- I hardly had any sickness at all until I was just under 8 weeks. When I went for my scan the sonographer lady told me that it is really really common to have no sickness, and that she sees ladies who feel fine as pine just as often as she sees sick ladies!

Unfortunately for me that was the day the sickness started...

chocciemousse · 29/01/2013 15:55

Badguider and fl0b0t thanks for your messages. I'll try not to worry and get some decent rest. With my school I start at 7:45 and don't finish until 6 because of after school clubs and meetings and with a ridiculous 25 min lunch break I am finding it all too much.

Fl0b0t I hope you can get some meds for your ms too. The doc told me my vomiting was pregnancy related and the other is a gastro bug. All she could recommend for the morning sickness was to try and eat small amounts often and to have a protein meal at night. That apparently is meant to help. 2kg in one week is a huge weight loss.

Congratulations to all of you having twins. That is such exciting news!!!

Dorita75 · 29/01/2013 16:19

Twins dietcoke congratulations! The odds are getting smaller for the rest of us.. or should that be larger??
Anyway..choccie I wouldn't worry, everyone is different. I'm whispering this but my ms seems to have eased up and I've felt almost normal the last 2 days. Comes on a bit in late afternoon but no awful waves. I've been googling and many others said the same...so started at 5+5 and has eased by 7+4....lots also saying it comes back and plenty saying they didn't have any at all including a few who had twins....there is no normal!

Eeeknumber3 · 29/01/2013 16:33

kitten I don't know if you saw my earlier post, but this morning I had convinced myself that something was very wrong, due to my utter lack of symptoms. No MS, vaguely nauseous when I get very hungry, but that is it. I am frightened by this, as I clearly remember being very sicky with DS1, am sure I was a bit sick with DD1, but can't remember too much, as was chaos, as DS1 was only 1. In retrospect, I don't actually know how I dealt with being pregnant!
Anyways, I sound much the same as you, constantly starving and in bed every night by 9pm, but that is it...ooo and hurty boobs, but I feel it's not enough?! Confused
I'm only 6+1, can't wait to have this scan next Monday, when I'll be 7 weeks. Am hoping it'll straighten my head out a bit...

Kittenkatzen · 29/01/2013 16:49

Thanks girls, glad it's not just me then - good that your sonographer was so positive about it jm.

eek yep sounds like we're symptom buddies then :) fx for your scan next week, exciting!

Girraferama · 29/01/2013 17:20

Hey all, can I join your thread? I've just had an early scan today as I've had some worrying spotting and discharge. Everything was fine - thank God - but, as I expected, I wasn't as far gone as my dates suggested, I'm 7+2 (not 10 weeks) - big relief to finally know where I'm at but gutted the 12 week mark is still so far away!! This will be my first DC and after an horrendous week of worry I couldn't be happier or more excited (and I got to see a heartbeat!!)

Girraferama · 29/01/2013 17:21

Oh, meant to say, I'm due 15/9/13

TripleRock · 29/01/2013 18:24

Just bobbing my head in to mention my 2 yo DD was sticking her tummy out today and telling me there was a baby in her tummy.... Amazing, how do they pick up on these things!

jennimoo · 29/01/2013 18:42

Triple my DD has a green baby in her tummy today, and daddy has a blue one apparently!

frogchops · 29/01/2013 19:29

Kitten, I'm 6 + 4 I think Blush and getting nothin either. Occasionally I get af like cramps but nothing else. No sickness, no nausea, just tired. I even. Got so worried something was wrong and tested again Blush.... Was still a bfp though. Really not easy trying not to stress.

fl0b0t · 29/01/2013 19:42

It's amazing how no matter what we've got, we want the opposite!!

If we could all have 1-2 days of mild nausea, gently sore boobs and a swelling lower tummy, early scans and textbook pregnancies that would be awesome!

I'd happily give you a little sickness ;-)

CarrieJayne · 29/01/2013 19:50

Kitten, I'm firmly in your camp. No real symptoms, but had my scan at 7+4 last week and all is well! 8+1 today and apart from the constant tiredness I feel peachy. Sonographer said the same to me as jm's did to her. She also said it could arrive any time up to ten weeks so not to get too complacent either!

Oooohhhh congrats Dietcoke soooo exciting! Loving the stat compiling creamtea!

I can highly recommend my diet for today: cheese and marmite panini from Starbucks, followed by a big bowl of egg fried rice with soy sauce, and have just polished off a bowl of mini max (chocolate shredded wheat). Scrummy! Most probably more to come but that's it for now. Ooh and a load of digestives and some caffeine free coke.

batfuttocks · 29/01/2013 20:12

Just dug out my old Doppler from last pregnancies and found the heartbeat Grin

(Took about 15 minutes though!)

SGJ · 29/01/2013 20:18

Wow, that's so impressive! Will have to ask my midwife sister to have a go on me soon!
Also, can I just say: New York bagels, red onion and chive, toasted with butter - AMAZING!!

Kittenkatzen · 29/01/2013 20:22

Thanks frog and carrie it is reassuring to hear of others feeling - or rather not feeling - the same Smile And sorry fl0b0t - little bit of symptom swap would probably do everyone a bit of a favour wouldn't it!

Omg I have just eaten the most enormous plateful of fish & chips - my plate was so loaded it was actually quite comical! On top of the actual fish and chips I also shovelled in half a battered sausage, half a gherkin and most of a pickled egg Shock slightly disgusted with myself but only slightly because omg was it GOOD!!!!! DH is going to have to roll me up the stairs to bed! Grin

Kittenkatzen · 29/01/2013 20:24

Sorry forgot to say well done to batfuttocks re the heartbeat! So lovely..

And SGJ on the topic of bagels, my breakfast of choice recently has been a toasted cinnamon & raisin bagel with peanut butter and banana mmmmmmm......

KamikazeeKid · 29/01/2013 20:27

Batfuttocks what Doppler do you have? Im amazed cam hear it so early I may have to dig mine out!!! Im wondering if my layer of fat might hinder things this time as I never had it before!

Welcome giraffemama!

kipsonline · 29/01/2013 20:48

Ooh so much exciting news to catch up on. Hurrah dietcoke, double the joy! And welcome giraffe!
....loving all the early shopping news too! I am slowly bringing bits and bobs down out of the loft, but after 2 v large bumps of my own (plus loaning out to friends) they are looking decidedly old and saggy...ha, a bit like me!!! am hoping friends will reciprocate with loans of their lovely clothes once we are 'official' .
On symptoms, I had 2 v healthy pregnancies with my 2 DS with no symptoms whatsoever... Didn't tell work until 20 weeks with DS1 as only just showing by then and felt fine. This time I am much more obvious in bump size, extreme tiredness and sickness. So I agree that anything seems normal!!
Booking in appt tomorrow. Am about 9.5 ish. Exciting!!

kipsonline · 29/01/2013 20:50

Creamtea, am also loving your twin stats, keep up the good work !!!

jennimoo · 29/01/2013 20:50

Kittenkatzen - that's my breakfast of choice at the mo too!

SaggyOldPregnantCatpuss · 29/01/2013 20:50

Kamikazee, if it won't work through your tum, you could always try dildo Doppler! Grin

kimjayne · 29/01/2013 20:51

eeeek saw our little pea on screen today and his/her little beating heart! I've never seen my DH stare at something so intensely Smile in his words "best £90 we ever spent" I would definitely recommend Ultrasound Now! also, it turns out I also have a tilted womb!! i think I remember a few other ladies on here saying they had this?

Creamtea1 · 29/01/2013 20:57

I need to have a quick rant Angry
Had a quick look at Facebook (yes I know, stupid idea) - anyway, old school friend had posted pic of 20 week scan photo with a title of 'I wonder what it is??'. Cue TWENTY comments of various combinations of girl/I think it's a girl/hopefully a girl/I think a girl then you will have one of each/fingers crossed a girl then you have one of each which is brilliant/etc etc....as you have probably guessed she has a boy already.
Cue hormonal creamtea posting 'it doesn't matter what it is as long as all is well, confratulations'
I know was probably harsh but that really gets my blood boiling!
