Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I know wibbly, am in carb overload, the only symptom I seem to have is continuous starvation! Today, had two slices of toast, a cheese melted sandwich with bovril on! Now, am about to cook my cheese and onion pie, do not normally eat like this! Put on 4 stone with DS and about 2.5 with DD, determined also not to go down 4 stone road, am already a 16-18!

Eeeknumber3 · 29/01/2013 12:14

Changed my mind, just finished off the kids fish fingers! Am going to have a f.finger buttie with lashings of lurpak and tartare sauce..nom nom nom

Wibblytummy · 29/01/2013 12:16

Same size as you eeek! When I told my Dad after the congratulations and hurrays he went "Oh and you'd only just started to get your shape back again and look good, that'll be a shame". Men are quite the insensitive creatures. A bovril and cheese sounds incredible... Now I want it... Envy

SaggyOldPregnantCatpuss · 29/01/2013 12:28

SEE! I told you not to worry too much! Grin CONGRATULATIONS!

SaggyOldPregnantCatpuss · 29/01/2013 12:34

Well I went to the GP this morning for exploratories! She had a good look up there, and a poke about and said my spotting is definitely the erosion! unfortunately she poked my cervix and now it bloody hurts! Nothing internal or baby related, just ouch you poked my raw spot, and it's not nice! She's a very lovely doctor, we were giggling so hard Mum could hear us in the waiting room! I was laying there semi naked, and Dr said "hang on, I've just got to get a different speculum, I've only got large in here". To which I replied "don't worry, I'm sure large will be fine!" Grin

chocciemousse · 29/01/2013 12:37

Hi everyone. I was wondering if anyone has had to take much time off work? Going by a scan I had 2 weeks ago I'm 8 +2. I've been signed off sick this week because of diarrhoea and vomiting. I don't think work are particularly happy and worry about the consequences from management and my class parents when I return.

SGJ · 29/01/2013 12:51

Yay, more twins! Congrats andadietcoke, what a surprise! Woo hoo!

badguider · 29/01/2013 13:26

OMG dietcoke - two babies!! wow!! pretty cool...

choccie - I work from home self-employed and have been managing about half to three quarters of a day work per day at the moment.. sleeping a bit late, having a nap at lunchtime... I feel terrible tbh and would not be functioning if I had a 9-5 job, in fact I think i'd have self-cert'd a week off by now if I was still in my previous job - I had a good sick record so would be willing to take the hit as 'sick' rather than preg-related at this stage. If you've got D&V you can't exactly work pregnant or not pregnant so just try to relax and enjoy the rest.

Kittenkatzen · 29/01/2013 13:32

yay more twins, massive congrats dietcoke, i'm sure your dh will be over the moon :o

Creamtea1 · 29/01/2013 13:38

Omg dietcoke congratulations! So glad all is well - and that explains your bit of bleeding then.
So ladies I did say that at least 4-5 of us would have twins - that's 2 already!
dietcoke once you're over the shock can you give us the twin questionnaire answers? :)
-twins in family
-early bfp?
-early/bad sickness?
-first baby?
-age and height

jennimoo · 29/01/2013 13:43

Had my booking in. Was well under half an hour despite DD being clingy and the MW not getting any blood from me (I have awkward veins...)

Just waiting for scan date to come through now.

batfuttocks · 29/01/2013 14:07

More twins!! Congratulations. Good luck telling dh, hope that he is understanding. After all, it's not like you planned to sneak an extra one in without his consent. It's lovely news.

I am suddenly much fatter this morning. Longing for it to be respectable to flop my belly out in stretchy trews.

SaggyOldPregnantCatpuss · 29/01/2013 14:18

If anyone constipated is interested... asked GP about what I can take, she basically said I can take as much Lactulose as it takes. Its quite safe in any amount.

fl0b0t · 29/01/2013 14:18

dietcoke I am so excited for you. Explains a lot, but must be quite hard to take! I'm very excited!

chocciemousse- I've been off from Monday with what I have told work to be a "sickness bug". On the whole I don't take much time off and we're not ridiculously busy at the moment so everyone's been fine about it. However, I have booked in a dr app tomorrow (with a dr I haven't met before) as as of yesterday I was being sick as well as 24 hour nausea feeling and I've lost 2kg in the last week. Feeling very nervous that they won't be able to do anything. Hopefully some anti-emetics? I'm only 6+1 and the thought of this for another 6 weeks or so is making me panic! I can't take the next 6 weeks off work!

jm233 · 29/01/2013 14:20

Shock Shock Shock dietcoke!!! Congrats! Such a relief that everything is ok in there too! Wow! More twins!

I'm starting to feel like even the lovely, cosey, clean smell of my house is now making me feel sick. Really really struggling with food right now. Forced a cream cheese bagel earlier cause haven't been able to eat since yesterday lunch apart from marshmallows

andadietcoke · 29/01/2013 14:34

Well, he took it better than expected, apart from when he realised he could end up with twin girls. He's a proper alpha male, and as a teacher he'll be on entertainment duties for school holidays, and doesn't know what he'd do with one girl let alone two.

They're non-identical so there's two completely separate sacs.

And for Creamtea...

No twins in either family
Earlyish BFP at 10 dpo
MS didn't start until about 6 weeks and is bearable. Throw up once a day.
First baby
31, 5'8" (I think), high BMI though.

Creamtea1 · 29/01/2013 14:57

Thanks diet :)
So ladies that means we have midwife with her twins, who had a few of the pointers - in family, not first baby, very sick and also coke who has none of the pointers apart from she's quite tall!
I think midwife said hers were identical too (one sac) whereas cokes are non identical (two sacs, think that means 2 eggs fertilised)
I'm not the twin police btw! :) just really fascinated

KamikazeeKid · 29/01/2013 14:59

More twins! !! There wasn't even one set on my last preg talk thread.

Lexyma I actually laughed out loud at your steady fart!!! Im in a quiet office today thanks hahah!

Heres a question from an MS all dayer ...... Is there anyone on this thread who actually suffers MORNING time morning sickness? ?

Considering I was such a misery earlier, I have cheered up immensely. There is prob a direct correlation between improvement of mood and shopping!! May be a bit previous, but have just acquired whole maternity wardrobe from our local cancer hospice shop for £17, 3 m and s lmited collection maternity tops, 1 BNWt mamas and papas tunic, pair of next mat jeans ( look enormous, but I know I'll get there!), white pretty next mat blouse and a next cardi thing....yay!! Glad, as I binned all my old maternity clothes, as was sick of site of them after 2 pregs!

SaggyOldPregnantCatpuss · 29/01/2013 15:15

I was worrying about twins, but have shifted to something else now! The gp was chasing the midwife to book me in today, and said I was 6 weeks, but could be 10. This was more to get the midwife to get her finger out, but it got me thinking... I got a BFP at 3.5weeks and it was really strong. I felt absolutely diabolical around new year, really sick, nauseous, couldnt eat anything, metallic taste in my mouth, which I put down to a virus, and they have worn right off now, and I feel pretty great! When I had the hCG tests, the initial count was high for my dates, and my initial CBD was out too! I Was on cerazette, so the period I got wasnt actually a period, so thats not really any help.
So, in theory, I could be further on than I thought!
Its a lovely thought, sadly I cant do anything to see if its right until I get my 12 week scan, so it will remain just a theory! Confused

jm233 · 29/01/2013 15:18

CatPuss, when is your 12 week scan? Will it not be too late for a 12 week scan if you are actually 16 weeks?

Creamtea1 · 29/01/2013 15:23

catpuss I remember like years ago (ok couple of weeks) that we said you could be a twin candidate because of the signs you said... :)

kamikaze my feeling sickness is all day but 100% worse in the first half of the day..it eases off in the evening after dinner.

Just been on a 20 min car journey and literally nearly threw up - and I NEVER get travel sick. So car will be avoided now!

SaggyOldPregnantCatpuss · 29/01/2013 15:25

Yes, but as I cant afford another, and the doctor doesnt seem worried, theres not much I can do! When the midwife finally gets in touch, Ill discuss it with her. IF I can scrape together 75 quid, I might pay for a scan, not much chance ATM though!

LexyMa · 29/01/2013 15:29

I got my call back for booking in appointment - next Thursday when I think I will be 10+2. She reassured me that from that appt I will get the scan date which should be at 12 weeks (which is around my birthday!). Much happier now. She's given me an hour for the booking appointment but I don't see what the need is - have already had the first few pages filled out by my GP, including blood pressure (am always very proud of my nice low BP - 100/60 last week!) and last time I always had to have a separate appt with the phlebotomist to take blood samples.

andadietcoke YAY TWINS!!! how fantastic. Can't wait to see who else falls into Creamtea's twins statistic over the next few weeks... But you'll also be likely to deliver earlier so we might lose you to the August thread (noooooo, don't go!)
