First time round I was still wearing my size 10 jeans at SIX MONTHS!! I couldn't get one leg in them now! Sad

frogchops · 29/01/2013 08:22

My nurse has said I'm somewhere between 6-8 weeks. But still she wrote 22/09 as my Edd. Surely this narrows it down to 6 weeks? Hmm I have a drs appt for him to prod at my tummy tomorrow, an also to poke my boobs apparantly Blush.

ZombiesAreClammyDodgers · 29/01/2013 08:45

frogchops prod your boobs??! {horror}

SaggyOldPregnantCatpuss · 29/01/2013 08:56

For anyone who likes a bargain, I've just ordered this I know it's meant to be just a toy, but they weren't invented back in my day, and I didn't get to hear heart beats until 36 weeks with either of mine. Sad I'm really looking forward to trying it out in a few weeks! Smile

I have my booking-in appointment this afternoon, and have thankfully managed to find a friend who can have my DS for an hour or so. Phew, it wasn't going to be fun trying to keep him occupied, plus we haven't told him yet about the baby so I would be trying to be subtle! He;s not terribly perceptive though. I did ask him the other day if he would like a baby brother or sister and he nodded vigorously and said he wanted a baby sister.

I burp constantly. Am sick of having the flavour of my last meal in my mouth all day.

I have the day off today and have decided to start it by crying through Call the Midwife apparently. Deary me!

frogchops · 29/01/2013 09:30

Yes zombies.... The nurse said he would need to examine and prod my boobs. Not sure if I want DP there or not!

jennimoo · 29/01/2013 09:55

I've got my booking in appointment and taking DD. it's also at nap time... Oh well, hopefully will be short (ish!)

Wincher · 29/01/2013 09:57

Unfortunately my DS has dropped his nap - I was considering trying to get him to sleep in the pushchair before the appointment but I doubt it would work! Any chance you could try that, jennimoo?

Poke your boobs? That is not a standard part of dating a pregnancy! Bit random.

fl0b0t · 29/01/2013 10:45

Eek! Doesn't sound nice! I find turning over in bed is enough to make my boobs hurt!
I'm in bed again today :( feeling rubbish.

andadietcoke · 29/01/2013 10:47

So, am at the EPU. Just been checked in, and am going to have a vaginal scan, which surprised me a bit, but to be honest I'm just glad to know what's going on either way.

frogchops · 29/01/2013 10:49

Sounded odd to me too. Will let you know how that goes Hmm

LexyMa · 29/01/2013 10:53

good luck dietcoke, hope it is reassuring rather than anything else.

I am getting twitchy about when I will get my booking appt. Left a message at the Sure Start centre yesterday where they run them, but the midwife isn't in until Wednesday pm to call me back. There are only three half-day sessions per week there. I just want to 'get in the system' now, and make sure I get a nuchal scan booked for the right week range.

Have been feeling 'wrong' this morning - not exactly nauseous but light headed and a metallic taste in mouth. Woke up this morning with horrific bloated tum, sat on the loo and did the longest, steadiest fart ever! Oh the relief!!! Grin

andadietcoke · 29/01/2013 10:56

Thank you LexyMa I'm away in Germany with work next week, so if something is wrong at least I can get it sorted. I get scarily pragmatic in situations like this, even though I'm sitting shaking on my own in the waiting room.

Eeeknumber3 · 29/01/2013 11:25

Good luck dietcoke, hope you have some good news, everything crossed for you. I have convinced myself something is wrong here too, don't feel at all pregnant, not like with ds1 or dd2, am going to try and preoccupy myself til scan next Monday...feels like a lifetime away...

Eeeknumber3 · 29/01/2013 11:25

Dd1 even!

andadietcoke · 29/01/2013 11:26

[sorry] oh my fucking god [sorry] there's two in there. How on earth do I tell DH this?!

Eeeknumber3 · 29/01/2013 11:28

Omg dietcoke! Bit of a shock?! Congrats! Grin

jennimoo · 29/01/2013 11:28

Wow! More twins! Hope all is well though.

andadietcoke · 29/01/2013 11:32

Yep, bit of a shock. He'll go mad. Not quite sure how to break this to him. Yes, all fine. Two heartbeats.

So completely freaked out at the moment.

jemimahpuddleduck · 29/01/2013 11:34

Wow dietcoke what a shock! My sister has twins and they are gorgeous Smile good luck with telling DH

Eeeknumber3 · 29/01/2013 11:35

Just trying to put myself in your shoes! I think DH would be shocked and a bit horrified, but I think he would get used to the idea. You both have a long time to get used to the idea! Do you have twins in your families?

Eeeknumber3 · 29/01/2013 11:36

Could they tell you if they were identical?

Wibblytummy · 29/01/2013 12:01

Wow dietcoke congratulations!

I've become obsessed by crisp sandwiches. Any weight I lost in morning sickness and with the gastro is sure to pile on with this carb overdose. I gained 3 and a half stone with my DS, I refuse to fall down that road again!
