jm same here...it's like sick full feeling can't face anything then literally the next minute bang and that feeling turns to immense hunger! And the only things that settle it are bad carbs or cheese! It's no wonder I've put on weight as ive gone from a low carb diet to bread for breakfast and lunch and (tonight) chips for tea! Carb overload!
It's mid morning and mid afternoon when I feel the worst, I just want to lie on the sofa.
What did happen today is that the 'backlog' cleared and immediately dropped 2lbs!!!!

SaggyOldPregnantCatpuss · 28/01/2013 18:28

Zeuxippe Im crossing everthing for you. Theres still hope, all the best, and hope to see you back here soon. xxxx
OnADietCokeBreak, I think brown is good. Its old blood which has been sitting around. Im still getting red turning brown spotting, its been pretty constant since my BFP, my doctor doesnt seem overly bothered. She's going to have a look up there tomorrow just in case.
Worrying is quite normal, Ive done tonnes, some days Im in the pit of despair about it, other days Im bouncing off of the walls. I think its pretty much par for the hormonal course. Lots of women have quite heavy bleeding for no particular reason, its not as scary as it looks. xx

andadietcoke · 28/01/2013 18:39

Thank you saggy. I had stabby pains on the way home and ended up ringing the mw triage service at the hospital. They've said unless the pain gets worse tonight to ring the EPU in the morning and they'll have a look. So at least I don't have long to wait to know one way or the other. Thank you for being positive though. That's what Dr Google says. It was just the pain that tipped me over the edge on top of my stressing anyway. In a weird way I'm glad I'm not the only one xx

SaggyOldPregnantCatpuss · 28/01/2013 18:54

Hows your bladder? And bowels? Could be any number of things. can you tell Im on an up day today? Cystitis always gives me stabby pains, and often brown discharge. Ive also been gettingoccasional sore pains in the outside of my cervix, Im pretty sure things are red raw down there!

And Cacks, work can be as royally pissed off as they like, but its tough shit. You are pregnant, and they MUST make allowances. They cannot descriminate against someone who is pregnant, and must accommodate things like Dr's appointments and antenatal visits.

mynameisnotmichaelcaine · 28/01/2013 19:06

Fingers crossed for everyone having bleeding/pains. I had bleeding with both of mine, including a really heavy bleed at 12 weeks with bad pains with my first, and she is undoubtedly fine and fabulous, and nearly 9 :)

My belly is absolutely enormous! I had someone ask if I am pregnant today at work, which was awful, I just lied through my teeth, and felt bad, but it's just too early to tell all and sundry! Doesn't help that normally I have a very slim tum - I carry all my weight on my bum and hips, so for anyone that knows me, the sudden appearance of a belly is very obvious! Anyone else showing already?

SaggyOldPregnantCatpuss · 28/01/2013 19:15

No sign of anything through my blubber! Grin

andadietcoke · 28/01/2013 19:19

I look slightly fatter than normal.

saggy you are good value today. No bowel problems. No stinging or excessive urination, but appear to be constantly dehydrated unless I drink gallons of water (and it has to be water, sugar free, caffeine free fizzy drinks don't work).

Pain slightly less frequent. Trying to convince myself it might have been trapped wind.

HettySunshine · 28/01/2013 19:20

I have everything crossed for those who are having worries which is making it hard to type I really hope all is well.

I think I might have a little bit more tummy than I usually do, I have to undo my suit trousers when I'm sitting down!

DP is taking a snap of me every Saturday and I think there might be a teeny tiny little bump there this week wishful thinking.

On top of my chair purchase yesterday, I have also now also bought a pushchair! What am I doing?!

jennimoo · 28/01/2013 19:20

I'm massive, into maternity trousers today!

Told my boss and colleagues today and everyone was lovely. A relief not to hide it any more!

HettySunshine · 28/01/2013 19:22

How far along are you jennimoo?

Rosyisgonnabeamummy · 28/01/2013 19:25

Morning sickness is lunchtime sickness. Urgggrgr

jennimoo · 28/01/2013 19:37

9+1. Massive is an exaggeration, but lovely round belly that's almost looking like a bump, even though of course it's just bloating ;)

Wibblytummy · 28/01/2013 20:05

Thank you so much purplepoppyseed! You've calmed my nerves and filled me in a lot more than the doctor did on this 'tilted' cervix business. I'm beginning to think I may have inherited it as I distinctly remember the first scan with my DS being a nightmare. She was practically putting her whole body weight on pushing the scanner down to get a decent image. Sadly no mum about to ask that to and have a suspision my dear old dad would have not a clue! Thank you so much, it's so much more reassuring to know what the pains are for.

PurplePoppySeed · 28/01/2013 20:40

No worries wibbly, I'm glad I could help - it stressed me out a lot the first time I found out too + I got fixated with thinking it would cause issues with getting pregnant too. It's actually fairly safe to google too - I've never found anything too scary. We've just got unusual anatomy! Personally I get IBS type symptoms with my monthly cycles and cyclical back pain, but some people have no symptoms at all.

I've just had the sickness kick in properly, after reading the warnings on here - I have such a phobia of being sick, it's ended up sorting out my 'other end'. At first I thought that would be good, but bloody hell, bring back the bloatedness please!

Badguider - I feel the pain of travelling to London - I do it everyday and it hasn't been easy today. Sickness has definitely been better when laying back in the seat and keeping eyes closed. You could just fake a stomach bug and then no one will push for you to join them for dinner/drinks in the evening?

SaggyOldPregnantCatpuss · 28/01/2013 20:59

Im finding this PG really odd, although the otherw were such a long time ago I could just be remembering wrongly! I really dont feel sick, and I dont have any actual specific food aversions, I just dont want to eat! Im generally such a pig, Im shovelling food in all day long, but now I walk round the shops looking at food, and my brain is jumping up and down saying "Ooh, ooh, look, chocolate/cake/pie/cheese..." and my stomach says "not bloody likely!" Today I had a greggs chicken slice at lunch, because I had to have something, and now I'm picking at some pasta! Confused It's bizarre! Although, I hope I stay like this forever! Might lose a few pounds!

batfuttocks · 28/01/2013 21:03

Round tummy. Rounder by bedtime, it's almost normal on waking. The scales suggest I haven't gained anything but my trousers feel much better unbuttoned!

Sympathies to everyone struggling with sickness. Is grim, isn't it? I have awful acid too, feels like my dinner is stuck halfway up my gullet. Ugh.

Only 9+3. This. Is. Going. Sooo. Slowly.

jennimoo · 28/01/2013 21:16

I've got that dinner stuck feeling. A good burp helps for a minute then it just comes back :(

batfuttocks · 28/01/2013 21:20

Totally. It's a bugger.
I have taken Zantac (ranitidine) on a couple of days when it has been really bad, which has made a huge difference. It's used widely in pregnancy but still makes me feel terrified taking anything! That said, on a few days its just been so awful that I have been desperate for some relief. Gaviscon and Rennies do sweet FA and make me want to gag even more.

jennimoo · 28/01/2013 21:24

Will have to check out Zantac, I think it's this feeling that makes me feel worst of all at the mo. Putting DD to bed after dinner is awful.

SGJ · 28/01/2013 21:46

Bleurgh, gaviscon makes me feel more sick than pregnancy does! Last time I could only manage it in tablet form, the liquid was for absolute dire emergencies right near the end!
Weighed myself today after finally replacing the battery in our scales - the lovely scales say I still weigh the same but I can see a difference... same as last time, I'm changing shape but not gaining weight... yet!!
Can't remember when I had to switch to maternity clothes last time... around 20 weeks, maybe? Ages to go then, I'm only 9 weeks tomorrow!

kimjayne · 28/01/2013 21:48

really glad to see its bit just me that's feeling truly pathetic about ms! it actually feels worse this week and i thought i got it bad initially.
im off work tomorrow as we have my first midwife app. We've also booked a private early scan for the evening. Im excited and truly scared too! All feeling very real. eeeek!!! might tell some family this weekend. Once we've seen evidence there's really a baby there!! :) wish me luck

batfuttocks · 28/01/2013 21:55

I was in maternity clothes by 15 weeks last time! I know I could just buy a bigger size, but as I am relatively slim and tall I do just get a pot belly quickly and it looks better in maternity things than normal. Plus I hate any pressure from waist bands. Even my bra is currently unclipped as the pressure was adding to the sick food in throat feeling.

Can't wait for everyone to know and to have nice comfy stretchy things.

Kittenkatzen · 28/01/2013 21:57

Yay hetty so lovely to have company in the crazy early shopping corner! GrinGrin

I'm definitely looking chubbier than normal, particularly around the belly. However I do tend to carry weight there anyway, and I've had some kind if food permanently shoved in my gob for about the last 4 weeks straight!

fl0b0t · 28/01/2013 22:07

I'm the opposite of you lot- I've lost weight! About 1kg which is weird as I'm exercising less, eating more and I'm not actually vomiting (much).... so not sure where it's gone!

Felt awful again today and my sister came over for dinner and I told her which made me feel a bit better and we had a good long chat. Took my mind off things a bit.

I've sacked off work tomorrow and I might see if I can see the Dr, but not sure nausea counts if you're not actually being sick?

Creamtea1 · 28/01/2013 22:28

Jealous of you guys who have put on nothing or lost - I'm going to wear my 'skinniest' jeans for the last time this week - I'll be 9 weeks on thurs. I did want to keep wearing them till 12 weeks but that's not happening. Am totally paranoid all my friends are sneaking looks at me thinking Oooh she's getting fat...
