MrsPennyapple, I started feeling them sometime during 12wks.
I felt DS moving at 14-16wks (can't remember exactly when).

JolllyRed, I think you're more aware of what can go wrong after your first pregnancy.
Oh, for the ignorance of telling people at 5wks because miscarriages happened to 'other people'!
Good luck telling work #2 & I hope DS gets well soon.

blonde Thanks it sounds stressful from here, so I can only imagine how you're feeling.
Good luck for fighting Dr re.Anti D..

Hope everyone had a good weekend?

DH is a great pregnancy partner, I've been having nightly foot massages & he's not bitched often about doing the lions share of DS wrangling when he's not at work.

Supposed to snow here too this everning!!

christelle - also got same doppler as gary and duende. Didn't use it til I was about 14 weeks with DS so haven't cracked it out yet, but it was good fun listening in!

gary - good work from your DH! mine is very good on the cups of tea and DS wrangling front but haven't managed to score a foot massage yet lol

mrspenny - last weeks (11 weeks) i felt like i could feel some flutterings but hard to say for sure. not feeling much this week tho, trying not to think about it too much but would love to start feeling things soon :)

jolly - hope things are ok with work, good luck telling your family and hope your DS feels better soon

scuba - also having clothes issues, boobs and belly both expanding, nothing seems to quite fit so have started digging through my sack of maternity stuff. Still look like a bag lady!

Woke up at 5 this morning and couldn't get back to sleep Angry so now between v early start and nausea i'm slowly expiring at my desk zzzzzzzzz

Ok, so I should start feeling things any time then. I'm not concerned, after seeing the way he/she was leaping around on the scan, just looking forward to it :). DD got hiccups at 11.30 every night, without fail. I'd normally just have got to bed, be snuggling down nicely and drifting off, and then the hiccups would start. It was cute and funny at first, but the novelty did wear off a little!

14 wks today

JollyRedGiant · 04/02/2013 16:02

I didn't feel anything with my first until 17 weeks or so. Nothing concrete yet with this one but not even 12w yet!

beckie90 · 04/02/2013 16:19

I've been feeling little moves since about 11.5wks. Maybe a little earlier. Ds1 was 16wk ds2 12.5wks. I think its all dependant on position etc

Afternoon all :) blizzards here roughly every half hour since 8am, bitterly cold but at least the snow isn't sticking.

Baby brain Angry I paid the electricity half of the bill at the beginning of Jan but not the gas half (can't do it in a oner with my supplier) and just got home to no gas argh!!! Nipped online to pay it quickly. Anyone know how long after paying it goes back on??! I feel such a fool!

After a pretty much sleepless night caused mainly by non hurty breasts and disappearing bump - had my 12 wk scan this morning and found baby/uterus has totally shifted, instead of being low down on my left side it's high up on my right side! Baby was upside down and back to front, we were greeted by a bottom Grin still measuring bang on for dates and even though we opted for no screening she said she still was obliged to take the NT measurement which was 1.3mm (what that mean? good?)

Am rather sore now after she had to press quite hard to turn baby around to get measurements. And cold!!!

Blondecat, if you get no joy from GP can you not call the Mw or even the maternity ward?

FoofFighter · 04/02/2013 16:20

12+6...

FoofFighter · 04/02/2013 16:21

oh and re movement, felt first at 10wk and roughly one felt every week since but baby been very poky today since the scan.

FoofFighter · 04/02/2013 16:34

Sorry one more thing Grin

scan pic from today on profile, look at the different in size in just 3 weeks :o

Sugarkane · 04/02/2013 16:41

I have my 2nd 12 week scan tomorrow afternoon, and I know im going to be too far along for my NT, not sure how im going to handle that yet, its annoyed me they have made me wait so long since my first scan on the 4th Jan.

Carrie, not been on for a while and while catching up, I was so sorry to hear your news, pleased friday went as well as can be expected, and you have a good support network around you. Good luck in the future.

GaryBuseysTeeth · 04/02/2013 16:53

Foof, forgot to say, glad you had a wonderful time at the wedding!
Really interesting to see the difference 3 weeks makes.
Considering my last scan was 6wks, the 13wk scan should look like Godzilla!
Hope the gas goes back on quickly!

Really craving pancakes, but we have no lemons in, DH has driven to work with the buggy in the boot & he's not back until midnight.

FoofFighter · 04/02/2013 17:10

Nothing worse than a craving for something you cannot have Sad

Oh well every cloud has a silver lining, we are going out for our tea now Wink maybe I should get the gas cut off a bit more often Wink

RuckAndRoll · 04/02/2013 17:17

gary thanks, now I'm craving pancakes! Grin

had db, sil and 15 month old dn here last night, she's great fun but I'm exhausted today. so glad I'm signed off for now so I can rest and deal with pain in my own way. can't wait until Friday, first scan has been a long time coming!

everyone's scan pictures look great, will add to it later this week.
12+4

Abilee90 · 04/02/2013 17:34

Evening ladies i dont know how to upload scan :(

Movement has moved higher now. So gather thats a good thing.
Cravings are driving me nuts, dippy eggs :( i know not very safe.

Very excited for saturday as me and dh are going to look a house to buy :D cant wait!

How are we all?
Xx

duende · 04/02/2013 18:04

blondecat, it's very easy to use. It comes with some gel you put on your belly ( like the one they use for scans), I find the heartbeat lower that I initially expected, just above the pubic bone, and at the moment to the left from my belly button.
I know it can make some people a bit obsessive but I think you'd find it reassuring.

Thanks gary and ruckandroll for adding pancakes to my cravings list for tonight...
The list also features cheese and crackers, an ikea hot dog and tzatziki....

DaveMccave · 04/02/2013 19:15

Do you always find it on the same size duende? I always find mine on the far right side of belly button! Last time I used it it was an inch or so higher, and today I'm sure I felt first movements slightly more towards the middle so I wonder if it's moved, and when they start to branch out from one side? I suppose it's as the uterus grows and they stay close to wherever our placenta is at the beginning.

abilee I was so strict with the eggs thing in my first pg. this one I've researched it and not stopped eating them runny. There hasn't been any salmonella found in UK lion marked eggs for years, and chances of it being in non lion eggs are extremely low too. So buy lion marked UK one and you'll be fine.

I bought a book called new active birth today which seems quite good. Can anyone recommend any good birth books?

GaryBuseysTeeth · 04/02/2013 19:38

Foof, I was cleaning the oven when DS was about 3 month old & managed to break the oven door hinge...downside was microwave/takeaway's for 3 weeks whilst the replacement part arrived, silver lining; I'm banned from cleaning the oven ever again Grin

Dave, normally mine is dead centre down from belly button, but a few times it's been a few inches to the left.
Can't recommend any birthing books, but if all goes well at scan I'm buy a Tens soon!

Abilee, hope you find the house you want soon, although they'll have to move super quick for you to get in pre-baby!

Have text DH about the lack of lemons, and hoping he gets the hint...I made a full roast dinner at 1am a few weeks ago as I NEEDED roast potatoes!

Abilee90 · 04/02/2013 20:29

Super duper fast lol we are private renting and our tenancy runs out august :/

Hmmm i'll buy some lion marked eggs thanks :)
Eventhough i now fancy chocolate lol

Anyone have a gut feeling of what you are gonna have?
Xxx

LexiLoganberryBump · 04/02/2013 21:00

I had a craving for pancakes about a week ago and then could only manage 2, cooked the rest and gave them to the dog, she was very happy. My appertite has gone down no end, we had sushi this evening (not the proper stuff, don't have a proper sushi restaurant near us since we moved and I wouldn't be allowed it anyway) could only eat half of a medium sized pack.
Was desperate for a bacon sandwich on saturday, dh wouldn't go to buy me any bacon so I went without then by sunday when I was at the supermarket I didn't want it any more. I was loving pineapple juice a week ago know it gives me terrible acid reflex/reflux

Stopsittingonyoursister · 04/02/2013 21:14

Hi All

Not been on for a while, but been reading - just too tired to post! But come on a bit earlier this evening, so I can catch up with everyone's news.

carrie glad to hear that everything went as well as could be expected, and that you have a good RL support system. Best of luck for the future Thanks

foof I blame everything on baby brain! I forgot to pay my credit card in January. I always clear the balance back to zero every month, kept checking my bank account waiting for them take the money out on direct debit, and then remembered (three days after the deadline for paying it) that I actually have to log on and pay it off manually. Doh. Cost me £15 interest grr. I hope the gas comes back on soon, enjoy your meal out. Congrats on the good scan.

Gary I knew there was a reason I didn't clean the oven, clearly a dangerous job!

Littlemiss hope you have managed to get some rest now.

Scuba I hope you managed to get some more tights! I tried maternity tights last time and found them useless, they always fell down or had the gussett around my knees - lovely! I ended up switching to stockings and then spending all day worrying that they would suddenly slide down my legs...one more thing to worry about!

mrspenny I have just started feeling movements today! 14+4. Lots of lovely fluttery feelings. I think you notice them earlier in second and subsequent pgs because I for one just didn't know what to expect in my first pg and mistook them for bubbles of wind!

blonde you must be so worried, I'm sorry you are still bleeding. Hope your visit to the GP went OK. Have they worked out the source of bleeding yet?

Sorry to all those who are feeling awful still. I have to say that, apart from the tiredness, I am now feeling OK. No skin problems at the moment, but my hair has gone a bit weird - all sort of dry and flat. In previous pgs, I have always had a massive lot of hair growth, and then it comes out in handfuls after delivery - scary the first time it happened, I thought I was going bald.

Is anyone else feeling quite...well...randy, for want of a better word?! DH has had a 14 week break since DTD to conceive this DC, but now I can't leave him alone Blush. I reckon we should just enjoy it whilst it lasts, before it all stops again once the DC arrives, but I think he's getting a bit tired!! It just feels..well...amazing!

Good luck to all those with scans coming up. Oh, and Mayan I have booked a Dominoes night for Friday!

Stopsittingonyoursister · 04/02/2013 21:16

Oh, and Abilee I think I am having a boy, based on nothing more than that I had afternoon nausea with DS, no nausea at all with DD, and back to having nausea with this one! We find out on the 14th March, fx. Do you have any inkling?

Stopsittingonyoursister · 04/02/2013 21:18

Lexi I had my flu jab after my 12 week scan, mid-January time. I figured if it was on offer and wouldn't hurt the baby, then I may as well have it.

Does anyone know anything about the new vaccine, for whooping cough I think it is?

Sorry, I will shut up now!

Abilee90 · 04/02/2013 22:09

Yes i think its a boy. I was the only one who said girl with our dd, i knew from 6 weeks with her. This one is so different, cravings are manic and kidney infection. I didnt have any water infections or lodney infections with my dd.

I only had 3 cravings with dd and had over 20 already with bean.

Xxx

MrsWajs · 04/02/2013 22:16

Hello! I've been lurking again.

I'll join those on the hormonal bench if that's ok? DP and I can hardly be in the same room as each other just now. He's not the sympathetic type so every time I go off on one he just retaliates!! Thought he might have remembered from last time (when I was distinctly worse than this time around) but nope! Hmmmph.

My face is also covered in spots and I hate it :( Oh and i weighed myself last night - HUGE mistake, I have put on 10lbs in 10 weeks!!!!! I'm actually starting to show! Anyone else on no. 2, 3 or 4 noticed this?? I had heard you might show a bit sooner but really, I think I'll need to get my mat stuff out before long and it's not even common knowledge yet!! DP is now planning on telling his mum pre-scan because if she see's me before then she'll guess straight away!

Lexi What you're referring to is reflux :) Could be the acidity of the pineapple that's causing it. And someone else told me about the eggs too so if it's stamped it should be ok. TBH this time around I haven't been nearly as strict about not eating certain things.

Foof Amazing how different your little bean looks in 3 weeks!!

11+2/11+0/10+3 - all my dates so far!!!!

beckie90 · 04/02/2013 22:20

food congrats on your scan, lovely scan pick :)

abi I think deep down a boy, however little parts of me are saying girl cause this has been so different to my 2 ds's bit then again thats just pregnancy did you. I have a gender scan booked for 2wk on sat but don't think finding out now.

stopsitting yes me, in early weeks I wasn't botherd however now I am getting too bothered Haha
