Hello and welcome to another shiny fred for Just Shagging graduates!

The last fred was nice and busy so fingers crossed we get lots more members

We've just moved over from the Shagged Out Viroids Volume 5 thread, where we finally found out that a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!
The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

hi to all those who dont know me, have been absent for ages! Im 30 weeks in 3 days, so feels like a landmark!

Am very interested in EPO tip, can anyone tell me more? Im desperate to start labour spontaneously this time, rather than waiting for dreaded induction like last time!

oooh, love OBEM. Couldnt watch it when ttc or after last childbirth, just tooo painfull! But am now riveted to it. That GA last week was scary, baby came out all doped up too!

Sorry to hear/read about your uncle Wing - i was also wondering if there was any way you could stay down south for the days between you London trip and the funeral? Our usual solution in such cases is to find a Travelodge near relatives - so we can spend time with them but can escape too, which is good for everyone.

Child our biggest worry is that this time labour will be 'normal' and we won't know what to do and I am worried that I won't be able to cope. Both DDs arrived early and very quickly so we have never done thing 'properly' - all the medical people tell me that this one is 'probably' going to be the same as the last two but there is no way of actually knowing what is going to happen.

I had my appointment at the diabetes clinic yesterday following my positive GTT result for GD. The specialist said she doubted the accuracy of my result considering my diet, weight and weight gain (or not) and the fact that I had had double steroids in the run up to the test and am on these progesterone pessaries. Anyway, they are going to treat me as though I am diabetic so I am now testing my blood 3 or 4 times a day - so far, all results have come back perfectly normal so it looks like I will just have to monitor my blood and they will see me every other week for check-ups and extra scans.

And then, the big worry of the day is that I was spotting this morning! It was not much and only really (TMI) when I wiped. I probably wouldn't have noticed it really if I wasn't watching out for such things - especially with the baby being quiet these days! It has been moving about and we have been listening to it on our fetal heart thingy but this is what happened with DD1 when she arrived at 32 weeks... I lost my plug on the Tuesday (but didn't know it was that and just told the MW about some spotting) and the went quiet and arrived very quickly on Sunday!

So we are waiting to see what happens - and I really should make a start on my school reports and finish the assessments I didn't mark yesterday in case things kick off soon! Should probably pack hospital bag too.

does this make sense? im having a pain every 6ish mins when it happens my stomach goes so tight it feels like it cant go any tighter or my skin feels really stretched? some of them make me wamt to poo. there uncomftable especially my back but doesnt feel like it hurts enough?

Something that sounds like it was a bloody show, all normal. If the tightenings are regular they could be early contractions or they may be braxton hicks - braxton hicks will normally go away if you have a warm bath so maybe try and see? If its labour will you need an emergency c section or will you give birth vaginally?

if im dilating ill go for a vbac

Excitng something, could be the beginning of contractions or Braxton Hicks, just wait and see if they get stronger. Also sounds like a 'show', all good signs that baby is preparing the exit route!!! keep us informed. Good Luck!

aparantly the bleeding and clots are down to a cervical ectropian though i had one of those before and it was nothing like this

GBT wow for feeling the baby move! I am so excited about that part, I think it will still seem a bit abstract until then!

Child I am to say I am utterly terrified of labour and know I would not cope with it. The relief when my obstetrician said I can have a section was huge! But I am in constant admiration for everyone who goes through it!

My stomach is wrecked again today. Has anyone heard of people becoming lactose intolerant during pregnancy? My stomach was fine again, then I drank milk yesterday as all the advice seems to suggest I should, and now I am running to the loo every 5 mins

Hooya, it is a bit odd when you put it like that (Plug Watch) but it is a bit weird that we're all watching the process of a woman discharging a mucus from her cervix!

Re: the funeral, yes I could stay down after my work dates and change my train ticket to come back up on the Monday after the funeral but I'll then have been five days away from DS and DH and I don't think I could cope with that. My parents will be travelling down at some point too to the funeral so one option DN suggested to me last night was that I go down with then in their car on the Sunday (they were going down on the Sat but would leave it a day later so I have a day's rest in-between travelling) and then get the train back home on the Monday evening.

Anyway, better get dressed. Hope you all have a relaxing Sunday planned. It's chucking it down here so I'm going to go through all DS's baby clothes this afternoon with DM! :)

wing really sorry to hear about your uncle. I think your DM suggestion to go with them in the car sounds sense. That takes the pressure of you travelling alone and you can be together to support each other. Hugs.

We are ok, busy as ever in the TEDDY household. Fern is so far proving to be a really good baby. She's feeds and sleeps well and my heart melts every time I look at her, she's perfect. We are going out this afternoon to the boys favourite babysitters (a friends daughter) 18th party. Nearly half term too, anyone have exciting plans?

Fern sounds adorable teddy, I must be getting ready for our baby as I never used to get emotional about babies but its starting to happen. Have even started looking in shops at baby clothes while picking up normal shopping now! (Not bought anything yet though!)

Hooya I think you definitely can. I've stopped being nauseous but I am still being sick every so often and the common factor does seem to be milk beforehand, but wierdly its not every time I have milk. So a cup of tea the other day set me off, but another day I had a big craving for chocolate milk and I was fine after that. Have given up trying to understand my body - the answer to every thing strange that happens is - 'its because I'm pregnant'!

The only biggie for me is that I think on Friday night I felt my baby for the first time - some very odd sensations in my tummy that were definitely not wind! Made me very happy and smiley - but now I want to feel it more - damn that placenta at the front!!!

apparantly its a sore patch of skin on the cervix but how would that cause a clot? still bleeding and contracting. am knackered.

So sorry about your uncle, Wing. I remember you saying you were going to visit him. FWIW, I agree that travelling with your parents on the Sunday is the best idea, if staying over isn't practical (which it isn't).

Sorry you're so tired, Something. Is this slow labour? Surely getting to the 25th isn't going to happen? Or I'm sure you really hope it won't. You must just want baby here now.

GBT - I missed your post about movement. Isn't it lovely? And I do find it reassuring to feel Baby B, so I'm sure after the MC it is for you too.

On Friday night, DH had his face right up to my belly, talking to the baby, as he does all the time, and baby decided to say hello by kicking where his head / face was! Most amusing, though DH only felt one of them, sadly! Give it a couple of weeks and it could lead to a black eye!

Hooya - I share your fear re birth, but after telling the MW about it, I was told to just do research about it, go to antenatal and I'll be fine. Hmmmm. I doubt it, but not much I can do, as I doubt they'll encourage an ELCS, even though in theory we can request them here now. And a CS has its own downfall with the recovery time etc, which I'd rather not go through unless it's necessary. And there's only 2 ways out, so I'm kinda stuck!
