Welcome aboard ladies.

Let's do this Journey together.

TotallyEggFlipped · 04/12/2012 07:28

woose - glad it's not just me that's incredibly windy!

I'm having an early scan next week to see what's going on, because I'd just had tests that showed I wasn't ovulating & been started on clomid. Somehow I managed to get upduffed just before I took the clomid. Hoping that's not going to cause problems.

RainboxFX · 04/12/2012 09:20

I am also crampy, windy and constipated. Nice to know I am not alone!

Due to my last pregnancy, I am also incredably paranoid and have managed to convince myself using google that this is an ectopic one Sad Have a doctors appointment on Thursday morning so will hopefully be refered for a scan then. I will be classed as high risk and monitored closely, as they have no idea why I went into early labour last time, but I have no idea what this will entail!

Thinking about everyone. Anyone else covered in snow? It's mad up here!

Woose I've been having loads of cramps last two days... had an actual stompy moment as I was going to bed, only to realise that a release of air moments later Blush made me feel lots better. Fortunately it was SBD, and OH was safely tucked out of harm's way. But still Blush

GaryBuseysTeeth · 04/12/2012 10:23

Welcome pingu & Blol!

Not going to add myself to the stats list until 12 weeks scan.

woose, my mum gave birth shortly after Diana had Will and apparently there were loads of free stuff given away to new mums to celebrate the birth, so hoping for some excellent deals on stuff...and that Kate doesn't use the names anyone here wants!

I have quite possibly the worst pregnancies ever; with DS I went off chocolate & still can't enjoy it... and now I cannot stomach Marmite. Xmas Sad
Those who've been pregnant before; what were your craziest cravings?

shellshock7 · 04/12/2012 10:49

Hi everyone, another (very) newbie here.

Brief history is a MMC at 10 weeks with first pregnancy and I now have a lovely DS who is 8 months. Got my BFP yesterday after being convinced AF was due after cramping Sat/Sun so relieved to have heard some of you had cramps too, had none with either previous pregnancy.

Still not real tbh, am just very happy as I go back to work in Jan and was desperate to be pregnant so it wouldn't feel like I was abandoning DS for long Smile

Only real symptom is bad gas Blush and a little pot belly, I was showing from 7 weeks last time and became a whale vey quickly so not sure how I'm gonna keep this quiet for 12 weeks!

Hi Gary, have already started on the balsamic pickled onions ha ha

shellshock7 · 04/12/2012 10:50

Can someone add me to the stats please, can't do it from iPad

Thanks Smile

Have had a few coffee aversions which has been a total Xmas Shock to me (I love the stuff). Actually think this will be how I get sussed out at work so trying to have half a cup of filter in the morning, just not on an empty stomach.

The other day, OH decided we should have sandwches for lunch. No big deal. BUT I insisted that he went and bought some pickle for me to go with the cheese. I can't tell you how happy I was when he returned with some a few minutes later! Was the BEST sandwich ever. I also may have eaten a couple of spoonfuls of pickle on its own Blush

Have also found that I'm most inclined to lose the plot and have an emotional shouting moment when hungry. Oops.

Gary I can't imagine going off marmite, I'd be distraught! But having said that, I had some the other week and it gave me dreadful heartburn.

wavesandsmiles · 04/12/2012 11:20

Weirdest/worst cravings: With DS I craved pepperamis. Not so odd, until you consider the fact that I have been a militant vegetarian (and was vegan for 4 years) since I was 15. I have NO idea where that came from and I have to confess I actually gave in and ate 3.

With DD I wanted cake and chocolate. All the time. And I don't have a sweet tooth! Soon as she arrived, that was it, back to the cheese for me Smile

Kind of curious as to what I might crave this time round. So far, I am just having aversions - especially to tea. Not sure how I am going to cope with out my Brew, so far I have managed decaff coffee and hot water with lemon. It's just not the same though Sad

Sugarkane · 04/12/2012 12:09

Shellshock your DS is the same as my youngest, where you on mn before?

I did a stupid excited dance in the kitchen when DP brought me some ready cooked sausages, nasty greasy things normally, but all I wanted in last pregnancy too.

Feel knackered today. Just want to sleep! Also more relaxed due to scan and even managed some sleeps at night!

sugarkane I joined the TTC after miscarriage thread and then the pregnant after miscarriage thread on the conception board and Totally's grads thread on the pregnancy board. You? Are you nervous about being pregnant with a young DS and the small age gap?

Christelle2207 · 04/12/2012 13:37

i too don't want to be on the stats until I'm a bit further along.

I have had this very general swollen feeling since implantation (guessing) and although I did have these little pains over the weekend, tiny cramps far below (uterus strecthing?) but now just back to the normal feeling, which tbh is really mild. So I complain when I get the little pains then complain when I don't!

Feel slightly sick but I think sick with worry more than anything else.

Anyone else NOT tired? I guess at only five weeks, I might have all this to come?

LittleMissSnowShine · 04/12/2012 14:25

Gary - When I have hyperemesis none of the usual morning sickness cures like ginger tee or crackers etc work for me. I take these manic, OCD type things were I can only eat small amounts of certain things and that's all I'll eat / drink for a fortnight and then a new manic urge starts! Last time round it was City Kitchen Sicilian Chicken meals and diet 7-Up Confused I'm having a Christmassy food binge at the min cos by the time Christmas rolls round in a few weeks I prob won't be able to stomach any of it lol

Re: Wills and Kate baby stuff, my DH was born same month as Prince William and cos his grandad was called William he has that for a middle name lol Hope they don't steal one of my names but I'd say it's pretty unlikely!

Anyway here's updated stats..bit nervous about being on here so early but feel like I might as well think positive! Booked in with midwife at 11 weeks and I'm off work this afternoon so decorating tree with DS Grin

Hi all

I didn't really have massive cravings. Just wanted to eat everything that is unhealthy. Crisps mostly. I put on 4 stone with DS, and then next time round I swore I would be better, but I failed and again put on 4 stone. I am sure most of that was due to all the rubbish I was eating.

I hope Kate doesn't choose my name I had in my head. It has just come to me and I love it. I don't want to mention to my DH as he may just say oh that's horrible and I couldn't bear that!

Does anyone else think they are showing yet? I feel like my stomach is huge and getting a bit worried people will notice.

Glad I am not the only one suffering cramps. It sounds as if it could all be normal. I have not really had any today, thank goodness.

Been to the doc yesterday got confirmed, asked about meds for hyperemisis as it gets very severe for me (went from a 12/14 to an 8 while carrying DD!!) and I want to be prepared. As the meds cost so much Im not sure I can have them, so need to wait and see a consultant Xmas Confused

I am having cramps now, and was very windy and giggled over it the whole day yesterday Xmas Grin

MyWaywardGirl · 04/12/2012 18:47

I don't want to add myself to the list quite yet (I feel I might be jinxing things being on the thread at all let alone on a list of dates). I realise that's neurotic but hey, as I keep on saying to dh when I can't be bothered to get off my arse and am ordering him about I am with child Smile

I'm glad I'm not the only one with cramps, I can't remember if I did first time around but if loads of us are the same then hopefully it's not a bad sign. A weird thing happened last night when I was in the bath, I seemed to have a hard lump above my belly button that you can't notice when not underwater but it made me feel properly pregnant. Has anyone else had that?

I haven't had any nausea yet but have lost my appetite again. woose I also craved crisps when pregnant with dc1, I remember driving home crying as I was hungry by couldn't think of anything I wanted to eat. I stopped at a shop, saw the huge multi packs of kids crisps (quavers etc.) and bought about 3 of them. I was in heaven!

Hope everyone's ok today

BelissimaLol · 04/12/2012 18:48

I'm feeling so tired and hungry!!!! Am worried I will end up the size of a house. No sickness at all. Just hunger. Scary!

wonderwomanislost · 04/12/2012 18:54

Hey myway appetite too just dont feel like eating, but then when I eat it tastes lush and I feel as if I havent eaten in a week!! haha

I dont know about the lump you saw, but I almost fel asleep in the bath earlier Xmas Shock

hey Beliss Im sure the hunger will wear off soon, as for tiredness I know exactly how you feel

wonderwomanislost · 04/12/2012 18:56

lost my appetite is what I mean Xmas Blush

sunflowerlady · 04/12/2012 19:22

Hi all, Conratulations to you all. I'm due with no. 2 in August. Just wondering what everyone was planning on using as not drinking excuses over Christmas or are you just going to announce it early?
Tricky!

LittleMissSnowShine · 04/12/2012 19:54

Also got the munchies at the minute! Been nibbling on xmas goodies all afternoon getting the tree and decorations up, then sat down to spaghetti for dinner Blush I was in a training course in work y'day and it wasn't easy to constantly graze like a cow snack tho and when I wasn't eating I did notice I was feeling a bit queasy. And I'm also really thirsty...all the progesterone! Not helping the general water retention first few weeks bloat thing I got going on, jeans hardly zipping up. Glad this only really lasts first couple of weeks and then brief return to normal size before start showing... January sales for maternity clothes tho...bonus!!!

sunflower - I was pg with no.1 over festive season in 2009 and i kept wheeling out 'having a sinus infection' (gross) but nobody believed me anyway! Think it'll be easier this time cos it's easy to use having to get up early with DS as a plausible excuse for passing on the vino? Let us know if u come up with something better tho!!

thehomesecretary · 04/12/2012 20:02

Hi all,

Being brave and adding myself!

My nausea has come on in earnest- since Sunday I have been constantly nauseous. It's horrible...but at least makes me feel a little more pregnant
belissima I am also worrying about ending up the size of a house, as the only thing that makes me feel better is eating!! Ahh
