Did you have a restful night monthly?

Oxford, if they've recently had it (like choc said, within 48hrs) then there is no way I'd have them over, pg or not.

Hurrah for boobs Chocolate!

LittleMiss, 'glad' you're still feeling sick & hope the spotting clears up soon.

Love, 8wks is far too early to hear the hb with a doppler, they probably won't start checking it until 20wks-ish. Although apparently it is possible to hear a hb from about 9wks with one, I've still got mine left over from DS so may start prodding from about 10wks.
They'll take your blood pressure, weight, pee dip etc.

Lexi, how are things with you today?
I'm 8wks now & have no symptoms, even lost the 3lbs I put on.
When I was pg with mc, every time I did even light exercise I had terrible cramping (infact the bleeding started after a light jog), so this time I'm avoiding heavy lifting, exercise, sex etc until after 12wks.

Hope everyone has a relaxing weekend, DS has decided to start teething again.

Thinking of you monthly x

Still feel constantly hungover and now got the cold. Boobs still not any bigger but def tender. Nearly bought the book "What to expect when ur expecting" yesterday but was worried someone I know might see me lol! Going to order from Amazon Wink x

BlackberryNettle · 29/12/2012 13:33

Hope you're ok monthly - also thinking of you and sending best wishes.

Still no symptoms here, but then I am a bit later on in the process than many who are having them so am trying not to be concerned. Bit addicted to POAS and comparing various degrees of faint and not so faint lines though. Should probably stop this and start saving the pennies as from what I've heard its an entirely useless and expensive endeavour.

Have first GP appt booked for the 10th though, so hopefully that will help it feel more real and me feel a bit more confident.

LittleMissSnowShine · 29/12/2012 13:51

Gary - Also avoiding exercise and sex! I was doing zumba when I had mmc, and though I'm pretty certain that had nothing to do with it, i'd rather not take any chances. That and I feel sea sick constantly, every time I get out of bed today the room sways. Not sure if that's blood pressure or what, but it's definitely not conducive to swimming or walking or any of my usual exercising. And DH can just put up with the lack of sexy time til after 12 weeks or until sickness clears up...whichever comes first!!!

Blackberry - Plenty of very luck ladies manage to cruise through first tri with very few symptoms beyond a bit of tiredness or the occasional queasy episode. Jealous!!!

Yvonney - I have a bit of a cough and it's a nightmare cos every time I cough I need to be sick again lol Ah the joys! I like your hungover analogy :)

zen1980 · 29/12/2012 21:34

hey everyone

congrats on the new bfps an sorry for th recent losses fingers crossed the New Year brings you good things!

So here's the scenario and need some advice I'm currently 8 + 4 in my 3rd pregnancy. First one ended in MMC I had bleeding on and off with repeated scans an hcg level tests for it to end at 10weeks. 2nd pregnancy had bleeding early on everything was fine at 17week had big bleed an had brown blood until about 26 weeks everything went ok up to the end.Now with this one I had a bit of pink blood when wiped on Xmas night an every so often getting brown blood. No pains and everything else seems ok sickness everyday, sore boobs extreme tiredness etc
I've had my first app with midwife but still waiting for booking in an scan date.

I basically need someone to keep me sane if it was going to be a miscarriage nothing can be done to stop it an really with my history it may not an so I should relax an wait for scan, what do you guys reckon?

DaveMccave · 30/12/2012 00:13

Hi everyone, sorry to read of peoples losses. Welcome newbies!

Just a quick one, I'm still having internet problems and I have finally been struck down with hideous ms. Why on earth was I so worried without it? Anyway wanted to pop on because I may have found a cure! I bought some b6 the other day after reading it helps, and yesterday I didn't have any sickness at all. I even had convinced myself in the night that I must have lost the baby. Woke up this morning and have had awful sickness all day again, DP asked me this evening if i'd remembered the b6. I hadn't. Have done some reading on it and it really can work quickly and very effectively for lots, so wanted to mention in case it helps someone else.

fx I wake up feeling better tomorrow and this is really the cause!

MrsWajs · 30/12/2012 02:55

Sorry to hear your sad news Mrshende and monthly :( Good luck to both of you for the future.

Nothing to report here except date confusion. No idea how pg I am except 5ish weeks (i think) still feel completely normal for now and crampng has eased off a bit compared to what it was the last 2 days. Need to make GP ppointment once surgery has reopened and I am finished nightshift for the week (on until the 4th Jan :()

Is anyone else due right at the end of August or just me?? :) I was at the very end of my April thread last time around too and was very Envy seeing everyone drop off and head to postnatal!

Bund · 30/12/2012 06:28

Hi can I join? Like Ms Wajs I'm due the end of August (25th). Had BFP on Christmas Day. Took me 10 days to pluck up the courage to tell my partner that I thought we might need to do a test. We both want to have a baby but we just moved in together (literally conceived our first night in our new home) so it's a wee bit sooner than expected. Had a feeling I was pregnant due to v sore (and growing larger by the day) boobs. Just 5+5 so trying not to get too carried away. Went to the drs the other day & got clear impression she thought I was there far too early. She told me how common miscarriages are :(. Oh well. Fingers crossed for us all.
