Hello and welcome sjs, Foof and cupcake and sorry for your previous loss foof. There are quite a few people on here who have recently experienced mc in some way shape or form, so you're in sympathetic hands!

Have off and on insomnia. Finding I often have trouble 'falling' asleep, even though I'm sleepy and my eyes are shut, I can't convince body to go with it. Very annoying. Other times I sleep like the proverbial. Figured out last week that I got pretty much ten hours sleep every night, which is unheard of for me.

Loving the interest in oranges upthread! My interests are more anti-interests! Can now add raw onion to the list of things I can't stand to go near as well as tea and coffee, water, chocolate, anything vaguely acidic...

Hope booking-in goes well sugarkane!

beckie90 · 12/12/2012 11:23

It's not looking too good for me :( xx

TotallyEggFlipped · 12/12/2012 12:39

Oh beckie, sending you in-MN hugs. x

GaryBuseysTeeth · 12/12/2012 12:47

Oh Beckie, I'm sorry to hear that. Have you been scanned yet? x

Brave (do you prefer bear or brave, always change what I call you!), I couldn't stand chicken (it all smelt off) with DS & it's gone the same way again. I've ordered a chicken to roast on Christmas Eve as I'm not going near rare beef, so no idea what to eat now!

Welcome cupcake
Have fun(?) booking in sugarkane!

Autumn12 · 12/12/2012 13:16

Hi I'm just joining you all. I estimate my due date to be 7th August.
So far my symptoms are tiredness, insomnia and slight stomach cramps.

Sugarkane · 12/12/2012 13:39

No fun booking in GaryI got there and I had the wrong day, its tomorrow.

Oh Beckie so sorry whats happening now, have you had your scan?

TotallyEggFlipped · 12/12/2012 14:01

Sugarkane you sound like me!

beckie90 · 12/12/2012 15:22

I got scanned Sonographer wasn't very helpful 1st said it looks like there's 2 sacs and then decided that no the other 1 is some kind if fluid maybe a bleed, and they cudnt pick anything up in the sac which that I wasn't concerned about because I had same with ds1 then 2wk later was a lovely strong heartbeat, but the fact theres fluid for some reason worried me n Sonographer seemed very blunt and didn't give me much hope, after sitting 3hrs the doctor coke and reviewed my scan, and she said shes not overly concerned at this stage, and been booked in for another scan on Christmas eve to see if anything has Changed I just hate waiting x thankyou everyone x

BraveLilBear · 12/12/2012 15:23

Oh no Beckie what news? Thinking of you...

Gary Brave or Bear - I respond to both now lol Xmas Grin but thanks for asking! I made a huge mistake offering to make DP some venison sausage sandwiches for breakfast last Saturday. First had to clean grill, then literally had to leave the kitchen. Torture!

At Xmas, we have a routine whereby everyone cooks a bit of the dinner to reduce pressure on my mum ie some do vegs, some do serving up and accompaniments. The thought of being in the tiny, hot kitchen with cooking meat in it is giving me shudders already! Good luck with your chicken Xmas Wink!

Hi there and congrats Autumn12 those symptoms sound par for the course here! Welcome to the fun and games Xmas Smile

BraveLilBear · 12/12/2012 15:27

Sorry Beckie cross post - you poor thing, how unsettling. Fingers crossed you get some answers - and good ones - on Christmas Eve x

Christelle2207 · 12/12/2012 15:43

autumn- snap on EDD and also symptoms.
Beckie so sorry you have to wait and havr another scan, but if doc is optimistic that is good news surely. I think v good chance of seeing heartbeat on xmas eve x

FoofFighter · 12/12/2012 16:10

Beckie, I am keeping it all crossed for you, I do think that especially today all the scanning/mc findings being in the news people could be a little more informative and empathetic!!

Still peeing for the whole UK here, my bladder feels permanently full even when it isn't!

I have jjust remembered at my work xmas do this weekend I picked pate as a starter, to not arouse suspicion would a few bites be ok then I can I didn't like it?? I cannot swap unless someone doesn't show up and I can nick theirs Xmas Grin I've already laid the groundwork for no alcohol consumption by saying am on tabelts I cannot drink with (have an underlying issue everyone knows about so I think I can get away with that)

totallyeggflipped insomnia, yes me! I suffer with it on and off anyway but these last tw days I've not slept properly at all. I do sleep but it's just very very light and feel like am skipping like a stone on a river across the top of sleep if that makes any sense at all?

Autumn12 · 12/12/2012 17:20

Christelle 2207 - it will be interesting to see whether we have similar symptoms the whole way through.

beckie90 · 12/12/2012 17:35

Thanks ladies I just really hope everything turns out ok, they didn't even check my hormone levels to see if they was doubling as they should which they could have done since I was there 3hr . Am just confused about this fluid, the nurse said I'm waiting for doctor to come and look at this blood erm I mean fluid so that worried me. Just so long to wait worrying xx hope your all well x

bzzbee · 12/12/2012 18:01

I feel for you Beckie, fingers crossed all goes well.

I have terrible insomnia this week, not helped by working through the night at the weekend, DD awake the last two nights with earache/cough. The last night I slept was Thursday last week :0
Other than insomnia, I feel slightly ill and slightly hungry all the time, and very windy (which I don't recall from 4 years ago when I was last pregnant). I keep getting worrying stomach cramps and fearing the worst, only to realise later it was just wind! Sorry if TMI...
Have decided to skip work Xmas meal due to perma-exhaustion and the hassle of Pret ending to drink, excuse I gave was not being able to find a babysitter.
Hope ye are all doing well (which in the context probably means feeling quite rotten with pregnancy hormones!)...
X

LittleMissSnowShine · 12/12/2012 18:21

foof - it'll be a dead give away but i'd give the pate a miss if it was me!

beckie - sorry things arent much clearer after scan, fx xmas eve brings better news

No staining today so hopefully it was just a one off bit of implantation bleeding or something. On tenterhooks tho!

beckie90 · 12/12/2012 19:07

Thankyou, hope your ok littlemisssnowshine xxx

Stopsittingonyoursister · 12/12/2012 21:10

beckie I hope you get good news on Christmas Eve, fingers crossed for you.

Fx for you littlemiss

bzzbee with you on the symptoms. I feel sick like I'm hungry, but then I eat and feel sick! Can't win....!

RuckAndRoll · 12/12/2012 22:05

Been away for a few days, missed a lot by the look of things!

Welcome to all new people Xmas Smile

We told both sets of parents today, it was my graduation so we I decided couldn't see DM and not tell her. They're over the moon, and hopefully they will keep it quiet for us.

Not many symptoms here still, just retching a bit and burping a lot!

HelgatheHairy · 12/12/2012 22:49

Hi all, can I join please? Got my BFP today. Due around 4th or 10th August. We've been trying for over a year and, to be honest, I didn't think it was going to happen. Excited and scared right now. Not many symptoms yet apart from mild cramping.

I'm approx 3.5 weeks pregnant (need to figure out how to do that properly is it weeks + days? Eg 3+4?)

Sugarkane · 12/12/2012 23:40

Welcome and congrats Helga

Yes you're right weeks plus days, but to be honest at the start I just do weeks, the days come in for me when the time starts to drag :)

Briarrosy · 12/12/2012 23:46

Hello, due August 3rd, bit nervous after my last disastrous pregnancy which I had to terminate in August. Second time lucky, eh!

DaveMccave · 13/12/2012 00:45

Hi everyone.

Helga I'd guess that you were actually 5.5 weeks... going by lmp and including the 2 weeks before ovulation. I'm due 16th august and 5 weeks on Friday, so further than you think :)

Still not really any symptoms here. I have been quite itchy. DP said I was itching in my sleep all night last week. And quite emotional and feeling a bit more tired. But still no sickness.

foof what are the actually reasons for not eating pate? Is it listeria or vitamin A? I can't remember. I'd look up the reason, and then look up other countries guidelines. I'm pretty sure lots of countries that eat it more regularly don't ban it! I think a small amount would be fine tbh.

LoveYouForeverMyBaby · 13/12/2012 06:07

Hi ladies can I join? Got my bfp with #2 on sat guessing I'm about 4.5 weeks based on lmp.

LittleMissSnowShine · 13/12/2012 07:51

Congrats new bfps!!!

Woke up feeling decidedly queasy this morning. After 3 weeks plus on digi test on Monday the queasiness is reassuring...boobs still not particularly sore though Hmm i always thought first timers worried more but when you've had one healthy pg you cant help but think any differences in the way u feel must be a bad sign and after having mmc i am just paranoid it could happen again. Rant over!! Thanks for listening
