i think ive worked it out......our babies are scared of the cold weather lol!

had the most depressing day helping out at the arts and crafts, got asked when i was due about 30 times and kept having to explain that i was over due by 3 days. everytime it was 'oooo well she will turn up eventually' or 'oo really, ours wer all early'.....gee thanks lol

mrswee · 01/12/2012 18:48

well I went to the shops again today for a wander and actively avoided a few people I saw that know just cause I couldn't handle all the questions and saying the same thing over and over.
I did want to be out and about but I didn't want to speak to anyone!

MissMummy1 · 01/12/2012 19:50

I was convinced my walk round tesco on Thursday would do it but no such luck! I'm almost tempted to double up on the painkillers, stick on loads of layers and get his lordship to give me a run down the forth in one of the ribs!!

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 01/12/2012 20:46

One of us has got to pop this weekend. My mum has informed me that it needs to be tomorrow as she has plans all week and my dad is playing golf next Sunday. Nothing like a but if pressure, eh.

mummytobe1990 · 01/12/2012 21:03

well ive got a family meal out tomorrow so you can guarantee ill go into labour half way through!!

Iheartpasties · 01/12/2012 23:04

I'm in oz, last night it was extremely hot, too hot! naked sleeping with no covers for most of us!

My dad arrived yesterday to help out (flew from the uk) he had to get a lift up to taunton because of flooding etc and trains being late etc etc he got here safe and sound. mum and dad are in the spare room. mum gave dd1 a shower last eve because she was so hot, anyway she was drying her off in the spare room and dd1 did a wee on the floor, mum moped it up with the towel and turned her back to throw the towel in the wash and dd1 did a poo!! Xmas Grin Xmas Grin Xmas Grin

Is today's quietness down to lots of birthing ladies, or are we all silently sulking like me ?! Hmm Confused

Chunkychicken · 01/12/2012 23:45

toomany my DD got threadworms when I was about 32wks. It was the implication that they are so easily spread that freaked me out, but then I thought it was unlikely to be that bad, as otherwise we'd all have them all the time. Doing all the cleaning on my own (DH was away) was the worst thing I think - apart from maybe actually finding a worm crawling from DD's butt after her bath Shock.

mummytobe1990 · 02/12/2012 00:42

MissMummy i think we r all sulking, i know i am Sad i swear everyday she doesnt turn up is more depressing than the last.

It doesnt help that DH parents have anounced they are actually leaving on thursday and not the weekend like we originally thought so DH is constantly nagging about the fact she isnt here yet as if its my fault?! I understand he wants his parents to get the chance to meet her before they travel home but its not like i can hit a friggin switch to start labour otherwise i would of bloody done it allready!

The worst bit?...i actually feel guilty that she isnt here, like ive failed to do something really obvious! grr i know he doesnt mean it like that but sometimes he doesnt think before he opens his mouth. makes me so mad Angry

Iheartpasties · 02/12/2012 02:27

mummytobe tell you dh that stress (over your in laws meeting the baby) isn't going to help bring on labour! A nice calming massage might though! men!!?

MissMummy1 · 02/12/2012 04:01

i think i might be having contractions. had 4/5 really sharpy ouchy braxton hick type tightenings in the past hour. enough to wake me up. trying not to get hopes up as will probably fade to nothing and got no other signs Sad

Bryzoan · 02/12/2012 04:09

Ooh - good luck missmummy. Not sure you need other signs if you have really ouchy contractions. Are they regular? Will be thinking of you - hope things keep going - and go well. Fingers crossed you will no longer be tempted by ill advised rib trips!

Bryzoan · 02/12/2012 04:12

Ps if you can get back to sleep / snooze through them I would - you'll need all the energy you can get if it does kick off . X

MissMummy1 · 02/12/2012 04:32

averaging between 6 and 20 mins apart so.defs not regular. just been really really sick too Sad Sad Sad classy...

Catbag · 02/12/2012 04:43

Sounds promising mm- labour seems to hit some women like that with the sickness. I would echo what someone else said though-see if there is anyway that you can sleep so you can have at least a little rest. Good luck!

MissMummy1 · 02/12/2012 04:46

I'm trying to snooze inbetween. They're really ouchy though! Trying really hard not to get my hopes up. Have told dp to stay at work just now although he's going to come ashore and work from the office until 7 so he's only 10 mins away if need be.

Iheartpasties · 02/12/2012 05:03

missmummy so exciting! good luck to you!

TheDetective · 02/12/2012 05:58

Yay MM!! c'mon and get that baby out!!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 02/12/2012 07:07

Sounds fab mm,how's it all this morning?

MissMummy1 · 02/12/2012 07:29

mmnaged to sleep for about an hour. about 10ish mins apart but not consistent. really ouchy. Sad but hard to tell when they start and stop for definite if that makes sense? is that normal? will be devastated if this isnt the real thing Confused

pikz · 02/12/2012 07:29

Come on mm hope all going well this morning.

Clarella · 02/12/2012 07:48

Oooo mm sounds like something! Confusing though, were you sick again or has that stopped?

MissMummy1 · 02/12/2012 07:51

was sick off and on for about an hour. still feel a bit pukey. yuck! Sad

mummytobe1990 · 02/12/2012 08:49
