I'm trying to avoid induction, been there done that, hope to not have to again if possible but in the end of the day as long as the baby comes safely I'm happy.
I'm not even bothered when it comes really but I am just getting a bit antsy as the longer it goes on the more likely an induction is.

mummytobe1990 · 01/12/2012 00:16

Shock missmummy i cant imagine going that far over! im so uncomfortable, fed up and hurting.

mrswee im really hoping she comes naturally but being a first timer im like a cat on hot bricks haha plus im such a midget and i reckon shes gonna be 8 or 9 lb so id prefer to have her sooner rather than later! (DH was 8 and half lb and a month early!)

TheDetective · 01/12/2012 00:20

MM I saw this and thought it might be an interesting changing bag for your DP Grin. (Am searching for a bag for DS for christmas!!)

MissMummy1 · 01/12/2012 00:29

Hahahaha detective he would LOVE that! I'm trying not to encourage his bag habit though - there's something very wrong about a man having more bags than me.. [bconfused] That reminds me though, he STILL hasn't ordered my changing bag. Grr.

TheDetective · 01/12/2012 00:40

I must admit, my DP has a lot of bags... but he doesn't have more than me Wink.

I think you need to leave a very big hint re: changing bag... as in hold something of his ransom until he orders your bag Grin. Something he holds dear to him... mwhahaha!

MissMummy1 · 01/12/2012 00:48

Hmm now that's an idea. His laptop maybe? (Which I'm currently using because he's not here, hehe) His most precious thing is his bloody landrover, which thankfully, is 100 odd miles away in storage. The one he drove every day went last month, otherwise I'd have just hidden the keys. I've told him I'll leave him if he buys another! I could just cry? It freaks him out a bit when I cry (I'm famous for being a non-crier but the last 9 months have been a total blubfest!)

Iheartpasties · 01/12/2012 01:30

December babies for you all now! Little early christmas presents :)

Clarella · 01/12/2012 04:47

Hi mummy, I'll be exactly 42 wks on 10th Dec, however at booking was given 1st Dec as edd (I'd worked out 27/28th) but scan said 26th Nov. Hence straddling 2 threads! So it could be dd today!

mrswee · 01/12/2012 07:33

I knew this baby was going to be December. Poor thing will get joint birthday and christmas presents now! it's it's on fault though... hear that baby, the longer you wait to come out, the worse your present prospect will be for life!!

mrswee · 01/12/2012 07:34

I did work out my due date as the 29th... but was given the 27th at the scan

Clarella · 01/12/2012 07:39

Have to say that's how I felt mrswee! Still, babes will def have 12/12 which is pretty cool :)

ToManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 01/12/2012 07:41

clarella, we need you here to bolster the numbers! I refuse to leave now until this baby is born. I've got my first load of washing on already, bed sheets and towels, it's going to be a long day Confused.

We've got a busy day today, school Christmas fayre followed by the unveiling of the village Christmas tree and brass band. I've been awake in the night feeling generally unwell and achy, but no contractions, boo!

Clarella · 01/12/2012 08:42

Ah a festive day toomany but a bit full on if you're feeling pants hope you get better soon Thanks
Does anyone know if feeling unwell and fluey can be a ramping up sign? Been feeling like I have a really bad cold but no snots etc, just that woozy feeling

Every other sign has abandoned me :(

mrswee · 01/12/2012 11:19

it could well be clarella our bodies all respond in weird ways.

i have had a few waves of period type pain this morning and ahem a bit of a clear out... this might just all be related to the curry from last night though!
I'm going for a wander to Peacocks for some suck me in pants for after the baby at 20% off.. do you think they will give me free pants for life if my waters break in there?

Passmethecrisps · 01/12/2012 11:28

clarella I was exactly the same - feeling a bit tired? Is it a sign? Sore throat? Sign? And so on. I think you could google anything and find out that someone had the same just before going into labour. I really hope it is one for you though!

That bag is awesome MM! If I were you I would order the changing bag myself and give him an IOU for it. Or maybe he is planning to surprise you with it when you have given birth.

Sounds like a fun, festive day toomany. Hi-5 to you for having the energy for it. It's a lovely bright, crisp day here so very wintery. Mind you, it is treacherous underfoot though.

Congrats to your friend iheart. That's a brill image - I wonder if they do nursing wedding gowns? Surely it's an untapped market!

My cat got very clingy as well mummy. She would lean in against the bump and cuddle head head against it. She was also useful on the occasions I had worries about movement - once she rubbed her head against bump the movements started. No idea why but it worked.

Maybe you ladies could have a synchronised ball bounce? It might work on Uri Gellar type mass thought.

mrswee I think linking present quality to overdueness is entirely fair! You could have a sliding scale right from a Jumperoo down to the inner tube of a toilet roll.

Passmethecrisps · 01/12/2012 11:31

mrswee I think that is only appropriate. I went for a curry the day before I was induced as well as boots, Debenhams, next and marks and spencer. Apparently John Lewis have the best response should your waters break. detective did suggest I just wee myself - I would dare any restaurant or shop manager to get on their hands and knees to sniff the puddle!

Iheartpasties · 01/12/2012 12:04

passme that made me chuckle!

it's 11.00pm and its 30C!! I'm melting.

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 01/12/2012 12:26

Well I'm back from the Christmas fayre. Thought I was going into labour when walking around, had severe back ache and all around my side. It's stopped now though Sad.

I know hiw you feel clarella, any change in symptoms, is it labour? I just want it over now and my baby here.

Where are you pasties? It's 3C here!

MissMummy1 · 01/12/2012 12:40

-3deg here! It snowed last night (although didn't lie) Grin

Lazy day here... Putting the tree up and that's about it Grin

mrswee · 01/12/2012 13:21

Just been to John Lewis but couldn't sum up the courage to piss myself!!

ShellyBobbs · 01/12/2012 14:29
