Come on missmummy, were all rooting for you! I was definitely sulking yesterday, I was getting more and more annoyed as the day went on. It didn't help that I had to wash everything and clean the house. I'm hoping I won't be infected by worms Blush.

My mum's comments about being busy next week also upset memummytobe, people really don't think before opening their mouths. My mum kept saying, "we could really do with you having this baby today or tomorrow!". Angry

I'm going to have a positive day today Smile

MissMummy1 · 02/12/2012 09:35

ok every 7-8 minutes now. and proper stabby breath stealers! HOPEFULLY headed in the right direction!! when do you suggest we phone mlu? obviously want to stay at home as long as possible.

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 02/12/2012 09:41

How long are they lasting and can you talk through them? If they are still bearable I would stay at home because they may send you home if you're too early. Good luck missmummy

Iheartpasties · 02/12/2012 09:46

missmummy so excited for you! is your dp with you now. Sorry ignore me if you want, stupidly excited for all the ladies left on this thread now :)

Iheartpasties · 02/12/2012 09:49

Warm shower or bath might help or a gentle head massage.

MissMummy1 · 02/12/2012 09:49

he got home a couple of hours ago. been at sea most of the night so i'm letting him sleep. he's being an absolute star though.

lasting about 1 -1.5mins. I can owww through them - does that count?!

MissMummy1 · 02/12/2012 09:50

I want a bath soon. I was sick in my hair, classy pregnant woman that I am! Blush

Clarella · 02/12/2012 09:52

Ooo I don't know mm , first timer but if in doubt I always ring with a 'I'm just checking' disclaimer - can't hurt to let them know there's another baby on the way??! All the best!

toomany, my mum (in Scotland - only stirling though) was really surprised 'they're letting me go as far as the 10th Dec' and consequently visit plans are back tracking from mum and dad coming for an initial day/night visit then mum maybe coming for longer when Dh back at work to just mum then dad after (due to dog) and now - as we're in December which = snow, xmas and 'terrible travel issues' I'm not even sure any of that's going to happen! Did point out a day trip on the train (to newcastle) is feasible. Actually I do understand her worry, we lived in the peak district and got routinely snowed in for years (even out once) but I think a November baby fitted much more neatly with her plans.

I'm resigning my self to 10th Dec, then anything else earlier is a bonus - plus I get to do some artwork / card printing, a totally sure fire way to bring a baby on!

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 02/12/2012 09:53

I'd ring and let them know. They may ask you to go in and be assessed. Exciting!

Iheartpasties · 02/12/2012 09:55

It's good he's in the house with you, that way you know you can just head off as soon as you want :)

Clarella · 02/12/2012 10:13

So exciting mm!

StuntNun · 02/12/2012 10:14

MM I couldn't really tell when my contractions were starting/stopping because of the back pain which was continuous. Sounds like the real deal at last though so GOOD LUCK!

Well done missmummy :-) have a virtual hug and hand hold. I would def phone the mlu now so they know you are likely to be comng in at some point - and help you decide when. Then if you haven't already neck 2 paracetamol to at least try and take the edge off, and maybe hop in the bath. But I would wake dp before getting in and let him know... In case need help getting out again. When mine really tamped up it was sudden and quite debhilitating - I needed help getting son the stairs. Really good luck xxxx

Bryzoan · 02/12/2012 10:20

More typos in that than a free e-book. Silly phone. Sausage fingers. They ramped and I struggled getting down the stairs.

mrswee · 02/12/2012 10:39

good luck mm sounds like the real deal to me, soon you will be holding your baby.

I have a constant mild dull period pain, had it all night, I could take paracetomol but I want to be able to gage it. I'm thinking it could still be days for me. I have had this mild dull pain for days with it getting ever so slightly stronger every 24 hrs but is still basically nothing!!

5 days over now. toomany I am actually surprised they are inducing you as early as 10 days.. I'm in scotland and unless there is a problem, they told me last time they wait till at least 11 days but usually closer to two weeks depending on when they can book you in.

mrswee · 02/12/2012 10:39

it is also inconvienient for us if this baby comes too long into this week as my MIL is going into hospital on thursday an he was supposed to be taking DD!!! argh

georgee · 02/12/2012 10:59

[typing onehanded due to boy never being off the boob] - GOOD LUCK mm!

Passmethecrisps · 02/12/2012 11:19

Oh how exciting MM! I am very much looking forward to seeing pics of minimummy.

It is so damned cold here. I certainly don't fancy your temp though pasties - I prefer being able to layer up because once you are naked where else is there to go? My pregnancy central heating has definitely gone to the wall now.

I am in Stirling and we were told they would not let you go past 12 days over. Had things been normal I would have had a sweep at my 40 week app when I would have been 40+2 and had an appointment booked to discuss induction.

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 02/12/2012 11:32

I won't be induced until 14 days over mrswee, it must gave been someone else who said that. I could be induced at 12 days but I'm holding out for a homebirth. That means 12th December at the latest for induction. I can't believe out families are booking anything in these two weeks, how selfish of them [shocked]

YellowWellies · 02/12/2012 11:39

Wahey MM I'm going to patent 'going for a mooch around Tesco' as a labour inducer!!! Best of luck hen xx

Chunkychicken · 02/12/2012 11:54

Good luck MM

mrswee · 02/12/2012 12:01

sorry tomandicks I think it was mummytobe

I just wrote a big thing about how deflated I am then lost the post... that didnt help!!

I'm feeling shite, and thinking my positive less traumatic than the last time birth is going out the window fast. that sums it up!

pass it's so weird how it's ok to go 14 days over in Edinburgh but not in Stirling!

TooManyDicksOnTheDancefloor · 02/12/2012 12:04

Right, I'm off to Tesco!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 02/12/2012 12:11

Does your silence mm meant is ramping up? Is there time between them to let us know how it's going?

Xx

Passmethecrisps · 02/12/2012 12:14

Completely bizarre mrswee. I think the variation in treatment is odd to say the least. You could maybe understand it if the areas were really far apart but forth valley and Edinburgh must touch.
