ng1412 · 31/12/2012 14:24

Hi all, back from scan but no amnio today, this was our third attempt but no luck so definitely booked in for next Tues at 8am. At least it means I can have a small glass of bubbly tonight!

Scan was all good, nasal bone finally checked (last time baby was upside down so couldn't be measured) and is fine.

Quite glad amnio has been pushed back as PIL over from UK next week so they can look after DD and then look after me!

10 glad everything was ok in the end.

Artigene hope your scan went well.

Hope everyone has a lovely, if sober, NY!

Happy New Year to you all.We opened our envelope last night and are having a boy.So 3 ds's for me.I feel truly blessed.Everyone in the venue we were at wanted to place bets on the sex so we raised £1400.We have decided to give the money to an Autism charity Grin

GeordieCherry · 01/01/2013 11:25

Ah Beautician, that's lovely. I'd love lots of boys!
So many boys on this thread!

roastpotatoes · 01/01/2013 15:55

Happy New Year everyone!

Glad everything is OK 10 - that must have been horrible.

We had a very chilled out NYE - just curry out with a couple of friends. It was lovely. Funny to think how different things will be next year.

We bought a bugaboo on ebay and went to pick it up yesterday. It's beautiful - used for less than a year and looks like new. So pleased that DH persuaded me to go down the 2nd hand route - we saved £600 on the new price. It's in the hall at the moment until we can be bothered to carry it upstairs. I keep seeing it and realising again that we're actually having a baby!

Totally shattered today after a late night - so much to do in the house but can't get off the sofa.

Hope you're all having a good day.

Thank you.

I will admit I had a twinge of sadness that I will never have a daughter.DP would have preferred a girl. However, I know how lucky I am to have teo healthy children and another on the way.Im hoping to be treated like a princess by all my boys bring the only female in the house Smile

BeauticianNotMagician · 01/01/2013 16:44

Shelly Good luck with the scan. You already know the sex don't you? Hope baby is in a good position if not jumping worked well for me Grin

cuppateaandagingersnap · 02/01/2013 09:25

Hi all and welcome Sisi Smile

Glad everything was fine 10 what a horrible scare!

Had my scan on NYE and all fine - yet another one for the blue team here! Seems like May is going to be a month for boys!
So excited, seems very real now, not that it didn't before but ykwim!
We think we're going to go with Thomas as a name and it feels good to be able to speak about him as a person and not an abstract 'it' Grin

BeauticianNotMagician · 02/01/2013 10:00

CupofTea Congratulations.Ds2 likes Thomas for a boy as its his middle name.We can't decide so far on list: Oscar, Jacob,Zachary,Maximus,Finley,Jude and Kean. Grin

Picklep · 02/01/2013 10:11

Well done all on the scans....we found out we are having a boy!!! Howmany boys are we up to on here?? I'm absolutely thrilled although I was a little tearful on the evening we found out, not because I was disappointed but because when I didn't know which it was, I had images of both in my mind and a list of girls names. I hadn't expected to feel upset saying goodbye to one. It would have been the same either way. But it was an emotion I wasn't prepared for. Had to explain to DH as he thought I was dissppointed. Anyone else have this?

beaut I understand what you're feeling, DH's family all seem to have same sex children so started thinking I may be a mummy to all boys and how I'd feel not having another girl in the house, then my sister said 'but that would be great, you'd be like Peggy Mitchell!' ....it did make me laugh!

My family are mostly girls so my boy is going to be a bit of a novelty! I've bought him some clothes and toys but no big stuff yet, will do soon as need to start storing the purchases.

Good luck shelly

roastpotatoes · 02/01/2013 11:44

OK I've done the count up! As far as I can tell the running total is:

Boys:15 (picklep, cuppa, beaut, 10, wilde, chottie, betsy, frankie, mwncigirl, secretcervix, artigene, wirrawoo, tas, flaming, seasalt)

Girls:8 (roast, babygeek, reeny, berri, jenpen, shelly, sparkly, mamabrussels)

Surprise:5 (bunny, twinkling, littlespade, terracotta, geordie)

Sorry for anyone I've missed/got wrong - do make corrections!

Ellypoo · 02/01/2013 12:45

Mine is a surprise too - got another go at the anomaly scan on Friday, hopefully we don't accidentally find out what it is because of all the extra scans we are having :) Not the end of the world if we do, of course!

FrustratedSycamoreSnowflake · 02/01/2013 13:05

Ooh there's alot of boys on here. I still have to wait until next week.
