Just popping on to say 'Merry Christmas Eve!'. Not been on much this week-sooooo busy.
Had first lie in together for over three years yesterday. Bliss. 11am!

Wow at all the boys! What's going on?! All the babie born in last 6 months (that I know obviously) have been boys too. Make me think we'll be having another DD. I really don't mind (and secretly think it'll be easier) but I think DH will be disappointed. My DD has also told everyone at nursery it's a boy Confused but we won't get the chance to find out until jan 8th like scooby.
But nervous actually. This pregnancy has been a bit too easy if you know what I mean? I sometimes forget.

Lots of thumps now. Most are really low down still. Even MW was surprised how low when finding hb. Anything to worry about?

Gosh. Lots of me there. Sorry about illness. Scooby you sound like you're having a hard time-hope everything is better by tomorrow. And yes-I'll have some bubbles tomorrow. I also haven't had any so far. But tbh, not fancied any (and I'm an avid wino).

Enjoy the festive couple of days x

lollypopsicle · 24/12/2012 09:37

Merry Christmas everyone. Hope you all have a good one. Just think how different next Christmas will be with a 7 month old Grin

twinklingelephant · 24/12/2012 10:15

beaver congratulations on the house. A friend if ours moved into a bomb site of a house shortly before first baby. It had no rear wall at all for the first few months!!!!! Hopefully an outdoor washing machine etc will be liveable with if you know it's not forever.
I'm planning on doing local NCT, will have to be an evening session due to work. Should get on and book it I spose.
Is there anyone else not feeling tons of movement? I get the odd squirm and maybe a kick or could just be a muscle spasm! It's hard to tell. Scan on 28th which I can't wait for. Hoping to keep the sex a surprise though.
Merry Christmas all! x

GeordieCherry · 24/12/2012 11:05

I feel like I'm feeling movement but could just be digestion & wishful thinking!
Keep having a chat to the wee one anyway Smile
Scan on 7 January, can't wait. It's going to look so different to the 12 week jelly bean! Fx everything is ok as we've agreed to not continue should there be something wrong.
Next Xmas is going to be sooooo different! Here am I in PJs with a Toblerone waiting for a charity furniture collection Blush
Hope everyone has a super fantastic day tomorrow x

berri · 24/12/2012 14:11

lolly I hadn't thought of it like that Xmas Shock

Merry Christmas everyone!

twinklingelephant · 24/12/2012 15:26

A few people at work told me to enjoy my last child free Christmas! As one colleague put it - before 2 become 3! Sounds like a dodgy spice girls song to me!
Forgot to say earlier: 20+3

TerracottaPie · 24/12/2012 15:54

Merry Christmas Everyone! Hope you all have a lovely day.

We've just finished watching our Christmas Eve tradition of The Polar Express so feeling all warm and festive now. Have a very excited 9 and 7 year old and a 1yo that doesn't have a clue. It's fab.

And like some of the rest of you I keep imagining what next year will be like. I'll have a just turned 2yo and a 7mo-ish plus a 10 and 8 yo. It will be fantastic chaos Xmas Grin

Lots of kicks being felt here everyday which I'm loving as the anterior placenta last time got in the way a bit. This one is fundal so nicely out of the way.

Anyone else able to push their belly button out at will? I was lying down laughing the other day and it always makes me giggle more when I look down at my stomach when I'm doing that (when pregnant that is Xmas Grin) and found if I tensed my muscles and pushed I could slowly make my belly button rise up and out. With how big I already am I imagine it won't be that long til the button pops out fully!

Good luck on those scans coming up.

20+6

Happy Christmas to you all, I think I have eaten too much!

Congrats roast on finding out, what a lovely present for Christmas Day Xmas Smile

jenpenod · 25/12/2012 19:35

Happy Christmas everyone!!

Been so busy in the lead up to Christmas that I haven't been on MN at all but had our scan last week and we're having a little girl. Am I the only one here not having a boy? I was really shocked when we found out because I 'felt' as though I had a boy growing inside me but got over that pretty quickly - all that's important is that the baby looks healthy! Lots if comments on here about how awesome baby boys are....please tell me that girls are equally awesome?! But nerv

jenpenod · 25/12/2012 19:41

Oops, stupid iPhone posting prematurely. Nervous as I'm not a girly girl and feel like I'll struggle with pink/dolls/princesses (only have nephews so far and dont have any friends with baby girls) but I suppose my daughter might not be in to that stuff....and if she is, I'll get over it!

Hope you're all having a fantastic (healthy) Christmas!

shelly81 · 25/12/2012 21:08

Jen I've got 2 boys already n am havin a baby girl this time & feel exactly the same but hey they'll be who they are regardless of anything else. Xx

ArtigeneAuberchoke · 26/12/2012 08:22

Merry Christmas everyone. I hope you all had lovely days. We certainly did. I love Christmas at the age my kids are as they are old enough to be excited, they totally believe in Father Christmas but they are yet to get too materialistic.

Congrats on the girls JenPen and Roast. Jen, don't be nervous, all babies are fab and gender is irrelevant. I have two girls who are brilliant and utterly different to one another. Neither are especially pink or princessy though they have their moments. Both are very affectionate (so ignore those threads where everyone says boys love cuddles with mummy and girls don't, mine are all over me all the time). Both love sports but also arts and crafts. The one thing I tend to notice about toddler girls is they are less physical than toddler boys and tend to be better at sitting and concentrating. I loved that as I love doing little projects with them. I'm looking forward to having a boy but only for the change, I'd gave loved another daughter and I look forward to the changing relationship I will gave with my girls throughout their childhood and into adulthood.

Anyone else gettin bracton hicks? I had really intense ones on Christmas Eve and had to lie down. It was a little disconcerting this early but I think not uncommon in third pregnancies.

Bunnychan · 26/12/2012 09:56

Belated Merry Christmas to you all! Been reading everyone's scan stories and movement stories and so pleased for you all. My baby still only flutters and tickles although DP also felt two tiny kicks on Christmas Eve! Was mega lucky that there was some sort of rhythmic movement going on for that though. Spent loads of time with his little nieces and nephews yesterday and I'm getting so excited about little bubs after months of feeling terrified and unsure. I'm looking forward to and absolutely terrified the 4th Jan for my 20 week scan! X

jenpenod · 26/12/2012 12:01

Thanks shelly and arti....very reassuring. And of course, I'm a girl, my lovely mum and sister are girls and all my best friends are girls...so obviously girls are brilliant! Grin My DH is very much a man's man and obsessed with sport so I thought he'd struggle with the idea but he doesn't seem to care. He still plans to get her out playing golf aged 2! Need to start thinking of some nice girl names now.

I'm an another anterior placenta girl and I haven't felt a single thing yet. Love hearing all your movement stories and just hope I start to feel her in the next few weeks.

Right, time for more food...is it wrong to start on the Ferrero Rocher so early?

beaver33 · 26/12/2012 14:47

Happy christmas to all and congrats to those who've found out genders. We have to wait until 7 Jan for the scan - 22 weeks - so not long now...

Lovely stories about movement etc have made me feel a bit nervous. Am prob just paranoid but am now 20+2 and haven't felt anything yet (that I know of). It's my first, so that might make a difference. And I'm also veggie, so used to a few low rumblings and bubble-like movement Blush.

Anyone else still waiting?

Kittykatmacbill · 26/12/2012 17:24

Merry Christmas all! Beaver I have not felt definite movements yet either! Driving me a little nuts ahrg!

Hope you all had lovely Christmases, mine was great quite a lot of eating and 5ml of sherry and 5ml of red wine.

Bit tired like, but enjoying not being sick and not having rock solid boobs!

19+3

Reenypip · 26/12/2012 17:38

Nadolig Llawen! Merry Christmas!
Hows everyone feeling?
I feel wrecked! My 1 year old boy had a lovely time. He was so shocked when he saw the presents under the tree. He did open a few himself and once he saw what was inside he wanted it out straight away getting super excited.
I'm worn out, not surprising being pregnant with some infection still and health problems. Haven't been this low down the scale for a couple of months.
I'm 20 weeks today and have my scan tomorrow! Excited and of course a little nervous.

Anyone else have a blog/web page? Mine is www.rhiangregory.eu
