I have a lot to lose. I think it tends to go quicker the more extra weight you're carrying to begin with. I still need to lose another 4 or 5 stone, but that will now have to wait.

GeordieCherry · 06/12/2012 13:45

I've defo put on weight. No idea how much. I don't weigh myself due to history of disordered eating. Easier to deal with now I have a bump rather than just feeling a bit fatter.
Put weight on immediately as I packed in my low carb diet & circuit training & spinning. Happy to have pg as a reason for giving myself a break
Will have to remember to be kind to myself after & treat the first 3 months with the baby as a 'fourth trimester'. I'll be bf anyway so fx all will be well
Aware these things are much harder in my 30s though Grin

10, the baby could have moved position which would explain why bump has 'gone', would also explain feeling fewer movements if it's more towards your back. I hope the docs can give you another med that suits you and helps.

I have an anterior placenta too, and it can take the MW a while to find heartbeat, but scans have been fine.

Re weight - I don't have a clue how much I've put on so far. I'm really not worrying about it until afterwards. I can't swim at the moment because I've had horrid cold for 4 weeks, and PGP, and still absolutely shattered, so that doesn't help, but I'm not going to stress about how much I'm putting on until the baby is here and settled and then can go for lots of walks and things.
I was a member of weighwatchers and still went until I told them I was 12 weeks - by then I had only put on 2lbs since I got pg, so that was pretty good going.

beaut I had hot lemon & honey, or hot ribena, and took paracetamol - that was all. Cold is still lingering now after 4 weeks. Haven't even been able to have my flu jab yet because I've been ill every time I've attempted it.

Really need to go to the supermarket & do a big shop, but I just can't face it - last time it made me feel ill, and I had DH with me. I can't even push/manoeuvre the trolley now because of the PGP, nevermind emptying it on to the checkout, packing it back into trolley, then into car, then unloading it at home. It's just a nightmare :(

20 week scan 2 weeks tomorrow - when are everyone elses? We aren't going to find out what we are having if we can help it!

elly I'll do your supermarket shop for you! I love going to the supermarket it's like a trip out (it use to be my and my mams thing - mainly to escape the many boys in the house but it is great) especially doing the christmas shop. Good luck with the scan.
We aren't finding out either - BF wont let us :(

I haven't really been looking at my weight gain - I just nod when the midwife lady tells me and if she doesnt say anything great.
Sometimes I can be a bit too layed back I think.

Great news on the scan dizzi
and welcome blue

you lot have been so lovely about bf - you are nice with all the good outcome stories. Because we are both Irish with family in ireland and the uk and we live in the uk (mine are split 50/50 basically I was raised between liverpool and ireland) trying to met is so complicated. We are thinking inbetween christmas and new year. Thankfully our big thing in christmas eve so bf at my parents then and we can be at his parents by around 11 ish. (hopefully) no way are we not meeting each others family at the same time they are meeting each other that would be awkward.

All you feeling under the weather get better soon.

LittleBairn · 06/12/2012 15:27

My final update.

Our sweet tiny baby was born by surprise at home on Tuesday night, I told you I was having a homebirth! If only it was 4/5 months later.
We are still uncertain of the babies gender although we with its likely to be a boy we need to wait for testing.
I have a thread elsewhere, if anyone is interested in reading it PM me but I take no offence if no one wants too.

Despite this painful outcome I will never regret one single moment of being pregnant I loved pretty much all of it ( I'm ignoring the 9 weeks of constant vomitting) especially the time I spent with you guys it made this time so much more exciting. Thank you all everyone.

I hope none of you will ever go through this but if you do PM me if you have any questions or need support from someone who has experienced this I would like to help if I can.

I will still be around MN and hope at some point next year to be joining another antenatal thread. I will probably lurk around about may time reading your birth announcements, but I won't post my place is no longer here, but trust that I will be delighted by every single one of your babies arriving safely.

Wirrawoo · 06/12/2012 15:43

LetMeAtTheWine · 06/12/2012 16:15

Hello everyone, I am waving at you from Cornwall. Is it ok if I join you all?
I have been a lurker for sometime but decided it is time I joined in rather than just being nosey! :)

I am due 28th May with my first baby and will add to stats thread when using something other than my phone.

littlebairn as I have been lurking I have read about your situation. I am so sorry to hear what has happened. As you said in your last post, hopefully you will be on another antenatal thread in the future. Take care of yourself. X

berri · 06/12/2012 16:23

littlebairn sending love to you and your family. Take care of yourself and don't feel like you have to disappear from here Flowers

Ellypoo · 06/12/2012 16:26

littlebairn xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx No words, I'm just so sorry that you and DH are having to go through this. If you feel like TTC again in the future, we have a thread on the conception boards for women who have lost their babies at various stages of pregnancy and post birth, and you would be very welcome if and when you feel up to it xxxx Much love xxxxx

Ellypoo · 06/12/2012 16:28

You're on milk!!! I have family in Liverpool & Ireland too!! Although not Irish.

Welcome letme - great name!!

Kittykatmacbill · 06/12/2012 16:43

little bairn xxxxxxxxx so sad for you, all the best for you going forward.

tasmaniandevilchaser · 06/12/2012 16:52

littleb sending you and your family love xxxxxxxx

MaybeAMayBaby · 06/12/2012 20:25

little I am so so sorry. I can't imagine having to go through what you have. A good friend of mine lost at 17 weeks in similar circumstances (didn't want to say earlier) and she has since had 3 kids.
Life is so cruel. I hope you get the time and support you need. Good luck for the future, sweetie. Thanks

berri · 06/12/2012 20:39

Welcome LetMe Smile

Sounds like you had a run-in with a right nutter maybe - don't let it worry you, if the most important thing in the world she has to worry about is something like that, then good for her!

Re the weight thing - I've still only put on 1lb Hmm which is weird as I'm definitely eating a lot, and have a proper bump now.
I've not been exercising either due to the placenta tear, so it doesn't make a lot of sense.

elly definitely go for the online shopping option, SO worth the delivery charge!

10 re the gender scan, take an envelope with you & then you can open it later with DH. We've done this with both DC and the soon graphed are always happy to write it down for you so you can decide to open it later!

GeordieCherry · 06/12/2012 20:47

Looking forward to seeing you again when you're ready LB Thanks

LittleB I am sorry to hear your news. Cannot begin to imagine how you must feel. My best friend lost her first baby at 16 weeks and now has two gorgeous DC. She still talks about her first, they found out it was a boy. One more star in the sky xx

berri · 06/12/2012 23:00

Just noticed - soon graphed?? Sonographer, for those who were wondering!

Chottie · 07/12/2012 05:42

LittleB - sending you a hug, I hope 2013 is a good year for you. x.
