Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
StrawberrytallCAKE · 20/11/2012 18:45

Hell no, i'd rather live in blissful ignorance with a side of gas and air. I don't remember feeling anything apart from the relief of pushing...actually another embarrassing thing is my mum walked into the room whilst I was in that position pushing and I just said 'mum I'm having a baby, I'll see you in a while!' they hadn't told her I was still in labour and she thought I'd already had the baby. Awkward but amusing nowadays, I did feel like a bit of a sightseeing attraction/cow.

Clarella · 20/11/2012 18:45

Oh and wow prune I'd get that baby cast! Or at least painted and photoed! Does look uncomfy though you poor thing.

ellliebelle · 20/11/2012 20:50

pru your bump is amazing cant see how ypu can grow anymore though :) it always amazes me how bumps can vary so much and still measure right :)

Lots of bh tonight 6 in the last 50mins hope they are doing something :) lots of movement earlier too which caused stabbing pains in cervix

AlisonDB · 20/11/2012 21:11

Just added a bump photo.
Have a lazy baby today, he has slept pretty much all day, now just as I decide to go to bed he's awake and having a party!

Day off tomorrow! Yipppeeee then only 10 working days till I finish! Phew!!!

pmgkt · 20/11/2012 21:11

Let's hope we have some news from dating by the morning. Night night girls!

AlisonDB · 20/11/2012 21:13

Just thinking the same thing pmgkt!
I really hope she is doing ok!

MyDaydream · 20/11/2012 21:14

pru your bump is really amazing. Baby seems to have just filled out my pot belly and I still don't feel massive (until I'm trying to get socks on).
Really hope dating is doing okay and she's just bonding and resting with her new baby.
Finally bought some nappies today, I seemed to have some block that wouldn't let me. The MW did mention in a very lovely way yesterday that I should have my hospital bag sorted by now, 8 months today so she's probably right! I might make it my job for tomorrow just drawing everything in one place, she gave me a list to use as a base so no excuses now!
I'm going to kill my DP if he doesn't go to work tomorrow. He took today off to comfort me as I got some bad news at the weekend and the hormones on top of that have just made me a huge weepy mess. I told him to go to work and ill be fine but he insisted. So far comforting has involved sleeping until noob, eating all the sweets, playing FIFA then watching a football film then watching football. Now he's got a headache and can't possibly help me with dinner. I'm not comforted, just a bit Angry

WillYouDoTheFandango · 20/11/2012 22:02

Alison you need to make your photos public

What a knob Daydream, pack him back to work and have a lovely imdulgent day on your own tomorrow

emilyeggs · 21/11/2012 02:01

AlisonDB · 21/11/2012 02:10

Oh Emily I know the feeling!
I was asleep, but had a bloody dream we where being burgled, now I'm Fekkin terrified to go back asleep again! Ggrrrrr and to make it worse i can hear DH snoring away in the spare room! Grrrrr!!!

SpottyTeacakes · 21/11/2012 02:14

I'm awake! Had to do a 2am sugar level test now I can't get back to sleep Angry

monsterchild · 21/11/2012 02:17

I'm up (because it's only 7 pm here) but will be going to bed soon as I am pathetic and in love with my bed.

SpottyTeacakes · 21/11/2012 02:19

I fancy a sausage roll. Have run out of all heartburn remedies though so probably not a good idea...

Clarella · 21/11/2012 02:19

Bloody weetractions

SpottyTeacakes · 21/11/2012 02:21

Ooo Clarella I only get them when I'm up and about are you sure it's nothing more?!

AlisonDB · 21/11/2012 02:23

What are weetractions??

PurplePidjin · 21/11/2012 02:37

Ellie, with hindsight that's how my labour started!

Rafa is refusing to sleep anywhere other than on my chest. Roll on 9 when dp is allowed in to take over! On the plus side we've cracked the feeding so I know he'll be ok :)

I'll pay a bazillion pounds to the person who invents a silent biscuit packet Wink

pidj great about the feeding. Ill get working on the silent biscuit packet for you!
I'm awake with BH periody pains and baby seems to have become all elbow and knee just to make it extra uncomfortable for me! Wonder how much DP would moan if I woke him up for a 3am back rub.

SpottyTeacakes · 21/11/2012 03:01

That's great pidj I'd give up on the packet of biscuits and just get a box Grin mmm maybe a box of broken biscuits yum!

PurplePidjin · 21/11/2012 03:08

I have Maryland cookies, trouble is there's 4 mums with wakeful babies in here!

Daydream, do it! Sounds like he's had a go at selfish twuntism so it's your turn now. You can always pretend you think things are starting :o

Mmm biscuits Brew

HoneyMum21 · 21/11/2012 03:14

Oh dear. We all seem to be awake.

MyDaydream · 21/11/2012 03:21

I'm playing down all twinges just in case they get back to MIL and I have to endure (and be polite in response to) "is it starting/happening/over yet" texts too early on. Although she flounced out of the house nearly two months ago and hasn't spoken to me since so maybe I don't need to worry (it was a brilliant flounce I hope I never forget it!)
I don't know what's happened to him today, he's usually quite reasonable, he's obviously having a moment that I'll let slide if he can bring his normal self home from work tomorrow!
Did you get moved from hospital to the birth centre yet pidj? I'm sure if you offer to share the cookies the women won't mind too much. (Wishes there were cookies in the house.)

Clarella · 21/11/2012 03:39

All that football! Daydream your dp seriously owes you! Tsk tsk - think there should be an indulgent payback at wkend.

Pidj thats really great re feeding. The main discussion when my nct grp met for lunch today (4 down 4 to go) was trials and tribulations on feeding ehich has been quite serious for 2. One baby became seriously dehydrated till they grabbed the formula cue lots of guilt and failure. I felt a bit too relaxed after our bf wkshop and havent bothered buying any bottles, sterilizers, pumps with attitude of shops will be open but i guess its one thing less to think about! - silly as i know i will want to express.

Weetractions - severe bh brought on by needing a wee. Sometimes quite painful! Also pootractions but i think thats also like the 'clearing out' pains some get in the run up to labour (terminology from another thread!)

They seem to be worse when im lying on sofa/ in bed and have worked out back stuff is linked to massive dinners - bizarrely ive never had any heart burn but have had probs with wind and terrible cramps in past but fine now so eyes way too big for intestines!
