Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

No new updates??

In the spirit of the biscuit chat I started with spotty on Saturday I've made millionaires shortbread.... It's about ready for slicing up :o very excited to see if its worked and is tasty! Sorry to all those with GD I realise I am monumentally unhelpful! But I can make you some diabetic friendly brownies!

Actually that reminds me, my mum's last husband was diabetic and someone bought them diabetic chocs one Christmas.... It was only when they read the box - after a very unsettled night- that they discovered diabetic choc can have a laxative effect so just a warning to any GD sufferes fancying a choc bing - but I'm sure you're all very well behaved!

cod sorry your little ones were crying, I'm sure like the others have said they simply sense something is up and feel a little unsettled.

Have great days everyone, and FX for all those with ongoing twinges!

itsMYNutella · 19/11/2012 10:05

blessed also wanted to say - totally with you on the farts! DP reckons I'm secretly eating squirrels (too long to explain), but sometimes I'm so uncomfortable I have to get him to rub my back and that usually results in Blush a lot of relief for me while he tries to be manly and supportive :) bless him.

MyDaydream · 19/11/2012 10:08

I keep telling myself that he's slowing down because there's no room and its nearly over, but better safe than sorry since I'm there anyway.
Got one of my deliveries today so spent part of this morning checking temperatures in different rooms in the house with my cool room and bath thermometer I got! Everything else was a bit boring so had to entertain myself somehow!
2blessed luckily for everyone else in the room my farts still make noise but I can't wait for this delightful pregnancy symptom to bugger off.
Aww COD poor you and DCs. I'm sure they bounced back quickly when they saw their friends.

Equimum · 19/11/2012 10:51

Full of Envy and Grin at all of you who are so nearly there, and especially those of you preparing for labour/ in the early stages. I'm only 35 weeks today and still have two weeks at work.

Spent part of yesterday moving bits of furniture in bedroom and getting rid of a wardrobe, so that we could fit a chest of drawers for the baby in. I had a lovely time yesterday evening folding and putting away all the baby clothes and blankets. Even DH who's usually quite emotionally constrained was smiling at the little sleep-suits.

Nutella where did you find a man who tries to be 'manly and supportive' over wind. DH and I went out for dinner Saturday night, and he decided my bump gave him unprecedented permission to expel gas in a very loud manner and make out it was me. As he put it, nobody minds if a pregnant woman passes wind in public Angry! Unfortunately for him, pregnant women mind when their husbands do it and make out it was them!).

PrunellaDeVille · 19/11/2012 11:12

Shock Equimum you must've been livid.
Similar to Nutella my DH is kind and stoical long suffering when it comes to my wind issues - i've always been windier than i ought to be if i were ladylike . We both keep up the pretence for as long as is viable that nothing has occurred, the odd Hmm if audible but recently i've been testing his limits Blush

imagining pidj might be a mum by now, how exciting.

Secondsop · 19/11/2012 11:30

I have my date! I'm to ring the hospital at 6pm on wed 28th to check there's still a bed, and then (assuming there is still space) go in that night and they will start the induction either that night or the next morning.

WeeJo08 · 19/11/2012 11:36

Ooooh! That's exciting seconds! :)

Equimum · 19/11/2012 11:37

I should point out, my DH's antics did take place on the walk home (albeit through a fairly busy town centre). He is slightly better trained than do that in a restaurant Grin

seconds how exciting Grin. That's really not long to wait at all.

SpottyTeacakes · 19/11/2012 11:37

Shock seconds that's so soon!!! Envy How far will you be? How are you feeling about it?? Did they say what method they would be using?

WeeJo08 · 19/11/2012 11:39

Just did the maths, seconds...that's NEXT WEEK!! (Sorry, am a bit slow!)

Walnut8 · 19/11/2012 11:43

Oh Cod thats awful Sad. I'm sure they cheered up as soon as you got around the corner though!

So ... I'm thinking both 20.11.2012 and 21.11.12 are pretty great birth dates right? Hoping little walnut agrees now. Very uncomfy tonight, lower pelvic pain, lots of sharp shooting down cervix and had a lot of BH earlier on. Getting (possibly) paranoid that I'm leaking too ... Confused. Bugger all now though.

Whoever guessed 7 lbs 4 (sorry I cant remember, was on the last page and my brain in mush) for little walnut, that would be nice. Almost spot on what DD weighed too! They estimated 8 lbs + for this one at 40 weeks but I've been measuring up to 4 weeks ahead for ages now.

Okay must go to bed, so tired. I'm sure when I get up there will be a pidj update! yay!

Walnut8 · 19/11/2012 11:44

Next week is exciting seconds Smile

Secondsop · 19/11/2012 11:50

It is indeed NEXT WEEK. I will be 38 weeks on Thursday 29th. It'll be induction with pessary and gel and waters broken and drip if needed. The consultant said he didn't usually do sweeps on diabetic early inductions because they rarely achieve much at that stage except discomfort.

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 19/11/2012 12:06

Oh seconds that's soon!

I'm hoping I get a date from my obstetrician on thurs at my meeting.

Can't wait to have a definate date!

PurplePidjin · 19/11/2012 12:18
