Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
emilyeggs · 19/11/2012 06:29

Looked on hear first thing to see if we have any babies yet Smile

SpottyTeacakes · 19/11/2012 06:34

I think you can Walnut just not once your waters have gone

Walnut8 · 19/11/2012 06:46

Thanks Spotty .. cant imagine even contemplating once waters have gone Shock

Just reading up on bfing a newborn. Sigh. Had forgotten all about correct positioning etc. DD was a good sucker but I know I may not be as lucky with this one. Have also spent afternoon vaccing, mopping floor, cleaning out car, finishing the laundry ... now am exhausted and feel like crying! Nesting over, I think!!!

AlisonDB · 19/11/2012 06:46

I'd say go for it but like Spotty days not if your waters have broken.

Hope everyone is ok this morning,

Pidj Good luck today if you are still being induced :-)

Cod hope everything's ok with you too

Very exciting!

emilyeggs · 19/11/2012 07:02

walnut your post about cuddling DD got me all teary eyed .

JoJoB77 · 19/11/2012 07:05

Just checking in on any new baby news Smile

Hope all ok with you pidj and COD. Im sure it wint be long for you too walnut. I had pre labour pains/signs for a day or so with DD and once i had my show it soon kicked off.

36 weeks today and i wanna meet my baby now (stamps foot emoticon) EnvyGrin

Clarella · 19/11/2012 07:35

Ive been checking all night and morn! Think pidj said induction at 7:30 if no action so all the best pidj! Or maybe she has pidjchick now?!

Period/ back cramps on and off keeping me awake last night. I read somewhere thats classed as false labour, true labour is more at top of uterus pushing down - is that right? Mind you early nct mum said she never had contractions just low pelvic pain.

Saphiesgirl · 19/11/2012 07:44

Im on here for news too! Good luck folks.

Hypnobirthing cd is growing on me. Our NHS trust do free Hypnobirthing classes for people who've had a very traumatic labour in past and have genuine fears about it this time. Given Marie mongan book and cd along with various tools and stuff. Course is 4 classed of 3 hours. I love it although at halfway point and still nervous but I do feel a bit better. The trust justify money because although course, materials etc are expensive it saves a fortune in drugs and sections etc for mothers in labour. I think it's great and surprised more hospitals don't do it- ours is only one in Scotland apparently- otherwise you pay for private practitioner.

I did have an app, but kept heckling it! Loving the classes though and hoping Pre eclampsia stays away so I can really use it best. No drugs for me regardless if I want them- labour too fast. This one likely to be under two hours!!

SpottyTeacakes · 19/11/2012 07:46

Hmm I think my labour pain was more like really bad period pains. A bit like when you're really constipated too? I'd get a contraction at the lower front immediately followed by one in the lower back and had constant hip ache I don't remember anything at the top.

I think early labour and BH can probably be hard to differentiate between but once labour kicks off that's when you definitely know.

Thinking of COD and pidj Grin

CODwidow · 19/11/2012 07:57

No news here, wonder how pidj is?

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 19/11/2012 08:06

Oh was hoping for baby news this morning. Thinking of you pidj

Cod how you feeling?

Clarella · 19/11/2012 08:09

la lala its probably constipation - massive steak dinner so pootractions yup?! Sorry tmi at thid early hour!

I never get period pains except for once or twice but definately nothing to shout about - these are kind of like those. Often had painful terrible wind mind Grin

utopian99 · 19/11/2012 08:14

Checking in for news.. Good luck pidj!

WeeJo08 · 19/11/2012 08:40

Checking in for news like everyone else! Didn't sleep brilliantly last night - kept dreaming about people on this thread (given that I don't know any of your real names, that was interesting!) giving birth. Not too worried about not sleeping well though as this is my first day of maternity leave! Woooo! Grin Had a pretty productive day yesterday - got lots done & also got my veerrrrry long maternity leave to-do list written! DH kept reminding me that my leave was for resting too....but I am quite excited about ploughing through my list (I have put nice stuff on there too!)

In other news....37 weeks today!! Yaaaaaay! Grin So chuffed to be full term! Our little Shnarf is a big girl now!

Saphie I have some hypnobirthing CDs for labour, going to start listening to them this week.

Pidj, Walnut & COD Hope everything's going well. We are all thinking of you & sending you love, strength & energy. I'm sure it won't be long until Honey & Dash have some company on postnatal! :)

MyDaydream · 19/11/2012 08:50

Another one checking in for baby news! Hope pidj is doing well.
Was a bit worried this morning because little one didn't keep me awake with dancing last night, but a massive sneeze I've just done seems to have woken him up! I'm at the hospital for my antenatal today anyway so I'll mention it then to see what they say.

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 19/11/2012 08:55

daydream they do say LO is less active near the end I wish somebody would tell tadpole as we had a lovely disco for most the night

I was randomly violently sick last night. DH googled before I'd even got back to bed and it said a lot of women get sick around 36 wks and it's more likely if you had bad morning sickness! Ffs I thought I'd done with puking!!

cashmere · 19/11/2012 08:58

Shall we do a guess the baby weights while we wait for updates?
I prob know less about them as haven't posted as much but will guess
Pidg 6lb 9oz- seem to remember her and DH are shorter
Walnut 7lb 4oz- neat but def there bump
Cod 8lb 2oz- need an 8lber too!

2blessed · 19/11/2012 09:03

Morning All!
Good luck today pidj. COD and walnut sounds like you two could be next...
I have had the most uncomfortable weekend to date. Period pains/cramps, a pain in my right shoulder, LO squirming for what seemed like forever and then I had to play chase the covers in bed for two nights. And my farts (sorry if its tmi but pregnancy is doing this to me) have become frequent, silent but oh so violent! Feeling a little sorry for myself this morning. I?ll snap out of it shortly? Hope everyone else is ok.

SpottyTeacakes · 19/11/2012 09:05

I've been feeling a lot less movement the last few days. Had a good five minutes of moving this morning though. Will be seeing mw weds anyway so will see what she thinks but it is slightly worrying Confused

CODwidow · 19/11/2012 09:13

Still very crampy but very hormonal today not helped by having to leave 2 ds's crying at school today Sad

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 19/11/2012 09:29

Aw cod why were they crying?

Mine skipped in with the knowledge someone else's mum is taking them home tonight. Nice to feel lovedl by them!

Diabetic midwife at 2.30.

CODwidow · 19/11/2012 09:40

Not sure, youngest is still settling into school really and 6 yo has problems separating from me in general but they both decided to really scream today. So I walked away crying myself Sad

SpottyTeacakes · 19/11/2012 09:44

Oh COD time to go home and put your feet up, have a nice hot drink! Maybe they just picked up on you feeling a little emotional?

Hope the MW goes well Stacey

Cookiesandcoffee · 19/11/2012 09:48

AwwCOD poor dcs, maybe they are sensing the change around the corner? DD has become clingy the past few weeks.

Im hoping no news is good news and babies are being/have been born. Been thinking of you all!

Whoever said about the farts (am on my phone) I've been suffering since day 1 so don't worry. Just let them out- I'm always relieved as they're so uncomfy! Never mind what DP/H says!

To add to the delightful TMI stories of a Monday morning, bad tummy here.
Drinking lots but feeling quite weak and tired-although from somewhere managed to Hoover the whole house including the stairs. But still half way though a lot of crazy nesting I started y'day (needed to sort out the tea towel drawer and clean itHmm !)

Oh and sausage fingers here.

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 19/11/2012 09:48

Oh cod that's rubbish. I'm sure they recovered better and quicker than u did. Kids are great at making us feel shit aren't they?!

I've managed to empty my washing basket! Shock only 1 load drying round the house too. I'm amazed lol. Still gotta put they clean stuff away though. God I hate housework!!
