Bellaboo123 · 18/11/2012 19:34

Sexy spotty lol! Wink

COD Oooh so exciting! I don't think it'll be long for you.

Pidj you sound like you're doing really well...can't wait for the announcement!

Secondsop · 18/11/2012 19:43

Good luck pidg!

StrawberrytallCAKE · 18/11/2012 19:53

Haha Clarella I tried a bit I the dance earlier but dh walked in and I got a little embarrassed. If I looked like the girl on the vid I'd do it all day!! Maybe copying a bit of strictly might help.

I can't wait to hear more baby news!!!!

MyDaydream · 18/11/2012 20:24

That's great brooke, hopefully it'll help get things moving when the time comes if you carry on.
pidj, COD and walnut good luck, sounds like Honey is going to have some company in postnatal very soon. pidj you sound very calm to say you could have a baby before I drag my lazy bum out of bed tomorrow!
My DP made enchiladas for dinner, he never cooks so it's quite nice. We're going to tour the birth centre tomorrow and to have my check up there. DP hasn't heard the heartbeat yet so quite excited that he gets that tomorrow.

Clarella · 18/11/2012 20:28

Ooooo COD!!!

It will be 3 :)

Loving live labour Grin

Hope ur ok spotty? Confused

Operation room and furniture organise for impending builders, carpets and potential baby pretty complete. Labour avoided Grin Sitting back now to watch xfactor/homeland/ the killing (though the last is def not good for oxytocin i have realised)

SpottyTeacakes · 18/11/2012 20:29

I'm ok thanks laying in bed Grin I can't stand Aleysha Keyes

Clarella · 18/11/2012 20:36

Mental pic amusing strawb! Actually, from what they say particular dance incorporates lots of good baby positioning jiggles!

brooke89 · 18/11/2012 20:48

Yesss cod

Also loving live labor.... Better than X factor!

WillYouDoTheFandango · 18/11/2012 20:51

I cannot believe how many of you are having signs and symptoms already! It's exciting but I am so not ready yet, still got 2 weeks to work followed by 2 weeks holiday before mat leave starts.

I am so so tired today, did aqua natal this morning and didn't go for a much needed nap after. Now I can barely open my eyes. If I sleep now though I'll wake up in the middle of the night. Laying in bed with my kindle

Also I want ihop! I've not been to the US for almost 2 years, have no idea what made me think of it but I'd give everything I own right now for their pancakes Sad

I think im pretty much ready have washed everything this weekend and put everything away i have bought everythingon my list although my red wrap has arrived and definately looks pink to me :( so think ill have to re ebay and find another one and also the post office seem to have lost my changing bag :( so will be therr in the morning demanding they find it. My hospital bag is packed and babies stuff all in a carrier waiting for changing bag to arrive.

So other than a bit of batch cooking im ready still only 35 weeks though but 2 weeks today i will be initiating operation eviction Grin

StrawberrytallCAKE · 18/11/2012 21:06

willyou annabel karmel has a brilliant American pancake recipe in one of her books, it is for blueberry pancakes but I tend to substitute the blueberries for chocolate, can't find it online but it's in the finger foods book.

WillYouDoTheFandango · 18/11/2012 21:47

Thanks strawb but I'm a gd'er and any white flour sends my sugars sky high. I've made DP promise that we'll go out for pancakes after the baby's born! I cannot wait!

I might try making my own though post-baby as scotch pancakes just aren't quite the same

We've just had slap up roast with apple crumble Grin and fatty emoticon.

Agree live labour gets my vote! Only hope I'm as chilled as pidj come the time.. 4 weeks to DD, pretty prepared for him to arrive but all this sudden action has reminded me i need to start my batch cooking and still not packed bag. Ulp.

itsMYNutella · 18/11/2012 21:56

willyou have you tried using buckwheat flour? I'm sure I've used it as a low carb option in the past and the results weren't bad ( diabetic EX-DP ).

Otherwise I'm just sneaking in for twinge updates from cod, walnut & pidj fingers crossed for you ladies....

WillYouDoTheFandango · 18/11/2012 22:06

I've not nutella I only got diagnosed at 27 w (35 now) and I thought while it's so short I time I'd just give everything up! If I still have it afterwards though I'll have to look into alternatives as I'm craving desserts like mad

Cod,Walnut and Pidj lots of luck to all of you, exciting to think we could have babies on here by the morning.

Feeling very uncomfortable tonight my back is killing me.

CODwidow · 18/11/2012 22:16

Well had another show and back is v.painful, I've been to the loo (no 2) sorry tmi!! About 3 times in past hr so something is going on but still no painful regular tightenings as of yet so I'll either wake up in the morning still preggers or may get woken in the night?? Hope pidj is doing well Smile

ISpyPlumPie · 18/11/2012 22:29

Ooo sounds promising COD - good luck.

Cashmere - I've hired the Birth Pool in a Box and it came with an electric pump. The pump was really quick - the connector for the floor was a bit fiddily at first, but fine once we sorted it and the chambers were really quick. We didn't pump it as fully as we will do on the day as we just wanted to figure out how to do it and also work out how big it will be. I reckon allow half an hour to do it properly, but as you say there are ways of doing it more quickly if there's not enough time.

It also came with a waterproof sheet for underneath. I've bought a cheap shower curtain as well, and have a huge stash of towels. We've got laminate flooring though so clearing up any spils shouldn't be as much of a worry as with carpet.

Walnut8 · 18/11/2012 22:37

nothing much more happening here, although I'm quite okay with that atm! Slowly getting more organised. Can't believe I left it all so late (Went to pack baby bag for hospital and realised all the newborn sleepsuits are still unwashed!! Argh. Hanging up to dry now). I called hospital as have never been in early labour (was induced last time) and was unsure what they needed to know, anyway they said could be next 24 hours, could be a few more days yet. The midwife told me to go and do everything I havent done yet! In my defense I'm only 37 weeks today though.

So more irregular tightenings, pressure below. Feel a bit nauseous ...

Giving DD lots of cuddles and keep getting teary. Also, lots of leg cramps and a sore throat (for whoever was googling signs of early labour Grin).

I feel like it will be a while yet.

Walnut8 · 18/11/2012 23:05

Hope things are going well COD and pidj !

EggsMichelle · 19/11/2012 00:38

Wow, loads of development todaÅ·, Dash will have some play mates!

I've spent the afternoon at PIL's, believing I was resting, however got home 30mins go to discover my legs are like tree trunks. Very uncomfortable, but reassured by lovely MW that I need to get them elevated and rest tomorrow (last antenatal class tomorrow :( ) I'm gutted and going o have to review my activities if this continues to happen.

Saphiesgirl · 19/11/2012 03:50

It's all very exciting- good luck to those of you getting going!

Im wide awake and hungry. Listening to Hypnobirthing cd and trying to go back to sleep- not working so far! As baby not breech anymore, I'm concentrating on thinking positive.

Glad things looking positive Brooke, spotty I'm with you in suffering unpleasant pregnancy symptoms- its rotten! At least we're on the home stretch.

Walnut8 · 19/11/2012 05:14

Saphie how are you finding the hypnobirthing cd?

I forgot to say, yay to Brooke!! Does anyone know if you can have sex once you lose your plug? I'm very reluctant to, but DH was v disappointed last night Hmm Sorry if TMI, seems to be my speciality at the moment!
