Thinking of you here too pidj have been checking phone whilst out and about. You sound really strong, not long now!

Just resting and watching bedknobs & broomsticks with dd. I have a really sore throat today and my glands are up. It is possibly a bit silly that I googled that and 'is sore throat the start of labour' I believe it isn't but as I was induced last time I don't really know what I'm waiting for.

Clarella · 18/11/2012 16:52

You can do it pidj!

Hows it going walnut?

Clarella · 18/11/2012 17:11

Lol strawberry ive been doing similar - 'pains in legs early labour ' (its all the extra swimming and floor washing)

Im sure youre knackered pidg but if you can keep active and climb stairs or ball bounce it might help - or try n get some kip and see if that helps ? Xx

SpottyTeacakes · 18/11/2012 17:14

I went from 3cm to 10cm really quickly after taking ages to get to three Smile you sound very calm anyway I think I was a mess at 3 Blush soon you'll get to meet your baby!

cashmere · 18/11/2012 17:22

Oh god there'll really be babies soon! Good luck to anyone who is/might be in labour.
I've 14 days to go (or up to 28 as I choose to see it)- don't feel ready yet!
That said midwife has predicted a weight of upper 8s so if I go over I guess I could have a 9-10lber!

Mummycox · 18/11/2012 17:39

Well done pidj cod and walnut

Clarella · 18/11/2012 17:41

Strawb it may have been the vanilla ice link that started it!

Im going to do that dance this time next week!

CODwidow · 18/11/2012 17:47

All quiet here so hoping for an early night. But there should be baby news in the morning pidj Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 18/11/2012 18:00

Painful braxton hicks here, suppose they're doing something.....

Hope you get a good night's sleep COD

ISpyPlumPie · 18/11/2012 18:01

Just had a dry run with the birth pool (literally as we've only got one liner so need to keep it for the main event). It was all fairly straight forward and think DH is a bit calmer now he knows what he's doing. Was a bit weird seeing it set up and thinking that is where my baby will hopefully be born Shock.

Clarella · 18/11/2012 18:08

Hope you get some good rest cod (just in case it kicks of again!)

Oooo spotty, you next??!

Yes that must be weird ispy. I have finally recently realised why people have home births (after grappling with consultants who have diff ideas at hospital as to birth suite or doctor led bit). Dont think dh woukd ever agree but id contemplate it next time though perhaps had bettee see how this un goes eh?!

SpottyTeacakes · 18/11/2012 18:08

We need these Grin

SpottyTeacakes · 18/11/2012 18:09

Not likely Clarella I'm only 34+3 BOOO!

Clarella · 18/11/2012 18:11

Haha! Spotty! Oh great for fancy dress costumes.... going to let my collegues know at school!

JoJoB77 · 18/11/2012 18:19

Good luck pidj! Hope all is ok too walnut.

How exciting Grin

emilyeggs · 18/11/2012 18:26

Love it spotty Grin

cashmere · 18/11/2012 18:33

ISpy we are planning on trying ours out tonight/tomorrow/next day too. What have you put under yours. How long did it take to inflate?
I've been told that with a BPIAB you can blow the top chamber up 1st and start filling if you are in a hurry.

Also if you need to get out and are struggling you can let the middle chamber down.

Hoping I'll feel relaxed at home- if not I'll just go in!!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 18/11/2012 18:43

Thinking of you pidj

Well I've got a check up with the diabetic midwife tomo. Then ob on thurs. wish that one was sooner, really wanna start talking induction dates so I can stop stressing. I should be calm just knowing I won't go over 40 wks but I just want baby to come now.

Oh and if baby is in a certain position he/she kicks the steering wheel while I'm driving! Oh the joys!

emilyeggs · 18/11/2012 18:43

Quite liking the raspberry leaf tea, I'm 34 weeks but would like to drink it more. Any reason I can't?

AlisonDB · 18/11/2012 18:56

Emily. No with the tea go for it, I'm drinking about 8 cups a day,
From what I read the tea is weaker than the capsules, and as I can't get the Cspsules and like the tea I'm drinking tons of it! Lol

emilyeggs · 18/11/2012 19:01

Thanks alison Grin I'm off to put the kettle on

AlisonDB · 18/11/2012 19:03

Good Luck pidj
Thinking of you!!!
Xx

CODwidow · 18/11/2012 19:14

After saying that just had a massive show (sorry tmi) and now lots of backache and pressure below so we'll see Smile

pmgkt · 18/11/2012 19:17

Oh I'm very jealous of this activity. I'm uncomfortable, and getting loads of pain and it hurts to sit down cos its so low, but don't feel its going to happy til Jan, can't imagine another 8 weeks of this, although I do have a section date of 9th Jan if I do go over do not all bad.

SpottyTeacakes · 18/11/2012 19:30

Ooo exciting COD! Keep us updated Grin

Well I've had a bath and BH have eased off but I was bending over to pick something up when I had a horrendous pain at the front of my lower tummy which made me yelp and swear Blush hips are hurting too like they do in labour. So glad to know ill have had him in four weeks
