Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Wahey! Its the Christmas hols! Finally!

AmI - i'm with you all the way with the morning sickness... I'm 13+6 and now feeling utterly miserable. Hoping for a miracle tonight as am attending a wedding tomorrow and then lots of lovely xmas stuff planned over the next few days Hmm

Pleased to see more great scan news... Looking forward to even more in the new year as some of you get closer to your 20 weeks scans! Eeek! X

MrsBri · 21/12/2012 18:04

Excellent news, dreamy :-)

And for everyone rose who's had good need / heard the heartbeat etc. So exciting.

I'm 13+5 or 14+2 depending on whether it is the date of my last period or the scan date you base it on and my sickness is nowhere near as bad. I still have some nausea at times, but it appears to be improving.

Are anybody else's boobs commencing interplanetary warfare? Mine are HUGE now. My female boss mentioned their epic proportions today! And to think there's a lot more growing to do yet :-/

MrsBri · 21/12/2012 18:05

else who's had good news ^^

Crap typing!

DontmindifIdo · 21/12/2012 18:14

well, they don't treat low blood pressure in the UK, although I know most of Europe do. Apparently it will go up as the pregnancy progresses. I will be seeing a consultant round 20 weeks anyway, as they're treating this as high risk so can ask then.

Is anyone else getting flutterings yet?

redwellybluewelly · 21/12/2012 19:25

I also have low blood pressure and I'm fairly certain that is why I am still feeling pretty awful. I also have reflux which is playing havoc with the nausea as well. There is nothing apparently that they will do and in my case it's inherited but made worse by pregnancy.

Have mw appt on the 4th Jan and then consultant and scan on 23rd Jan when we will find out the sex (didn't last time).

I did the Christmas food shop with DD today, really shouldn't have done, ended up almost passing out halfway and then spent afternoon in bed with the most appalling headache. Had to call DH home from work as I couldn't cook DD any dinner or look after her.

I finished work yesterday but DH has to work Christmas Eve, we have so much wrapping to do!!!

redwellybluewelly · 21/12/2012 19:26

And yes to quickening, last night and this afternoon! right side of my belly, exactly like DD. I'm 15+4 today and felt DD move at 18+0. Tis lovely.

AmIGoingMad · 21/12/2012 21:05

Fidget I hope that the nausea at least gives you a day off tomorrow to enjoy wedding! It's miserable isn't it. The glowing has to start soon surely!

Redwelly that's awful about the shop poor you! Hope you're feeling better now?

Mrsbri you too have given me hope on the sickness front. The daft thing is that when I found out I was pregnant one of my first thoughts was that I was lucky as I would be past the sickness 12 weeks before Christmas! I still live in hope!!!

As for flutterings- I occasionally wonder if I am feeling baby when lying in bed but then think that maybe its my tummy being gurgly as I'm a bit behind some of you weeks wise. When is the norm ( if there's such a thing with any aspect of pregnancy!) for feeling movement?

redwellybluewelly · 21/12/2012 21:15

I think its around 18 weeks for the first baby but very much depends on the position of the placenta and also on tummy muscles!

AlohaMama · 21/12/2012 23:55

Great news sunbeam and very very exciting dreamy. You must be the first to know the gender. That is so exciting. I guess I'll find out mid-Jan. Didn't last time but want to know this time. Partly for ease of naming.

suzy I already have a girls name in mind, from last time. We didn't find out gender and ds obviously took the boy's name! This time we'll find out gender that way we only have to stress about names if it's a boy.

AmI - really hope you feel better soon. I'm 13+2 and feeling loads better than in previous weeks but was still sick this morning. Just trying to eat very regularly as I definitely get sick on an empty stomach. Last time I think I felt better at 12 wks but was still sick once or twice after that. Take it easy and try not to overdo it (easy to say at this time of year!). Same for you redwelly - lie down on the sofa and let your dh do the shopping next time!

No flutterings yet here. Last time I think it was ~18 wks. I think 18-20 is the usual, but obviously varies. Looking forward to that bit though, for me that was when I finally started to actually feel pregnant last time.

Sams4lo · 22/12/2012 08:27

Morning all

Dh felt baby having a party in my uterus this morning which was lovely :) def finding out sex, (18th Jan and counting lol) as I think once we know I will either calm down or scream but can be better prepared :) after last dc, consultant isn't taking any risks, I'm not seeing a midwife any longer!

Is anyone else having problems taking antenatal vitamins with iron, causing constipation?

SparklySanta · 22/12/2012 09:13

I'm not feeling anything other than sick at the moment Sad

my scan date is 31at January, cant wait, we'll find out what we're having assuming baby is cooperative!!

Little9 · 22/12/2012 09:36

Hello all. Sorry haven't been on for a while, too busy playing with my early Xmas present (Kindle fire!). Will catch up later properly later but had a quick look and glad there have been some more good scans and mw appointments. Got an extra scan next Friday (28th) to check all is still ok and my cervix is holding up. I'll be 16 weeks then. My mw appt is on 7th Jan and 20 week scan on 25th Jan. Not going to find out sex - want it to be a surprise and not bothered either way as long as it is healthy and alive!

For anyone with an iPhone, my friend showed me an app last night called "My baby's beat" which allows you to listen to the heartbeat with your phone (need headphones without a mic). Not sure whether that would be a good thing as if I couldn't find the heartbeat would start panicking!!

I think I may be starting to feel the odd flutter but not sure whether it's baby or wind. Blush

MrsBri - my boobs have also reached tremendous proportions. My belly isn't far behind either even though I'm only 15 weeks!!

Am off work now for two whole weeks. Bliss. Grin

dreamydays · 22/12/2012 10:34

sams4lo I have started adding a bit of linseed to my cereal to fight constipation. Seems to be working! It was recommended on one of the sites, Bounty I think.

Sams4lo · 22/12/2012 19:09

Thanks dreamy will try that :)

thedevilisinthedetail · 22/12/2012 19:12

Haven't been on for ages. Good to see all the good news on scans and the heart beat!

This is my third baby I'm currently 15+5 and I feel like I should be able to feel the baby by now, sure I could with dc2. Also don't feel sick any more and did with others till past 26 Weeks...probably just writing unnecessarily but was wondering if anybody else wasn't feeling movement yet? Thanks.

SparklySanta · 22/12/2012 22:00

little I stupidly downloaded that app as I'd got some money in my iTunes account!! I couldn't even detect my own heart beat let alone the babies Hmm

SparklySanta · 22/12/2012 22:01

devil I'm not feeling anything yet and getting a little impatient!

curlyclaz13 · 23/12/2012 18:58

I have my 16 week check tomorrow, hope everything is ok. not showing or feeling anything yet, keep telling OH all I want for Christmas is to look pregnant!

AmIGoingMad · 24/12/2012 15:10

Hello all! Quick post to let know I has my nt results today- 1 in 1862 for downs 1 in 70000 Edwards and patau 1 in 30000. I know it's not definite but reassuring all the same!
Have a lovely Christmas girls and I'll catch up on thread properly after the madness is over! X

curlyclaz13 · 24/12/2012 15:58

Check went well, 1:57000 of downs which was good to hear, iron level good at 33 and heard a nice strong heartbeat! nicest Christmas present we could have asked for!

pinkapples · 25/12/2012 19:51

Wow, seems like I missed loads my iPhone is currently in apple heaven having a rest and thankfully I got an iPad for Xmas so can catch up Grin

Congrats on all the scans and the fantastic test results still haven't heard when my scan is midwife said ill get a letter when I turn 18 weeks so only a couple of weeks to go am 16 weeks exactly today

Possible flutterings but this is 1st baby so not a clue if there baby or not getting fatter but only put on 4lbs so that must be good as I started overweight I should (according to the net) put on between 11-20lbs fingers crossed Grin

Fidget275 · 26/12/2012 07:26

Morning, hope you all had a lovely Xmas! I managed to keep a whole turkey dinner down so was rather pleased!! Just think... This time next year Dec 25th will be so different... Grin

Although thanks to one very excited nanny and aunty to be, bump managed to score the most on the presents front. Yikes! Lots of cooing and teary eyes around the Christmas tree! I, on the other hand, am doing the best i can to resist any purchases until after 20 week scan!

And now we have the new year and flutters and heartbeats and scans to look forward to! Eeek!

Hope you're all okay! Take care!

pinkapples · 26/12/2012 08:13

Aww fidget sounds lovely and well done on keeping dinner down Grin

I am also trying to resist purchases however with the January sales may have to buy nursery furniture as it is over £300 cheaper than non sale price oh decisions decisions Grin

MrsBri · 26/12/2012 08:39

That's a difficult one, pinkapples.

I'm trying to wait until a) we've moved house and b) had the 20 week scan before getting too much. Hopefully these will take place during one week in February, if we manage to find a new house by then!

Anyone else feeling less pregnant now the sickness has (mostly) worn off? Still boiling hot and sleeping badly, as well as having random hiccups, so hopefully all is well. This is a bit of a weird limbo until I can feel baby though. Hmmm...

My bump bought me some stretch mark cream! So thoughtful.

Cried at the bibs and Baby on Board car display though! Soppy preggo that I am :-)

Ooh...got an awesome winter maternity cost half price from ASOS for anyone else whose bump is expanding rapidly!

Sarah2506 · 26/12/2012 11:51

I don't feel pregnant at all anymore! To the point I was actually googling to see if it was normal! I have no bump as such, just some fat. I don't feel sick and tired all the time and life is pretty much back to normal. Got lots of comments along the lines of 'are you sure you are pregnant?' yesterday which really freaked me out! But I think this is normal for sixteen weeks? I'm putting down my lack of recent weight gain on the norovirus and assuming I will start to expand soon!
