New thread for June 2013 :)

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Thanks for directing me to that thread suzy. very helpful. Having not actually had the blood tests yet I've no idea what my risk is and whether I'll need a Harmony test but nice to have the information ahead of time. And it does sound like a good alternative to an amnio if you can get to London and afford the costs.

Question for second or third timers

I'm 14+2 and although my breasts haven't reached the size they did with DD at this stage they are rock hard and very very painful. I'm also utterly shattered, thought the tiredness went away soon!

forgetmenots · 13/12/2012 21:57

Only a first timer redwelly, but I'm only two days behind you and absolutely knackered! Watched Masterchef and went on mumsnet... From my bed!

pinkapples · 14/12/2012 06:29

My boobs are huge and my bra is on its last legs Smile there not hard though or sore although there's still time yet

MrsBri · 14/12/2012 07:19

My boobs harden when growing, we've discovered (I say we, I mean DH, as he's far more interested in my breasts than I am!). I am suffering with terrible itchy boobs though. It's rather socially unacceptable, as I find myself absent mindedly scratching them. Fail.

I'm 12+5 and either absolutely exhausted or feeling ok, no happy medium. I'm hoping I start to get the 2nd trimester glow soon!

SparklySanta · 14/12/2012 08:11

My boobs were super sore in the very early stages, that was one of my first symptoms but they seem to have calmed down a bit!

I think I've started glowing but that's probably more the constant sweating!! It's gross!!!

Flu finally abating, so hopefully I can start enjoying the run up to Christmas!!!

redwellybluewelly · 14/12/2012 09:43

YES MrsBri! Itchy boobs! That was last week (13weeks) and this weeks the damn things are rock hard!

SunnyL · 14/12/2012 10:23

Can't remember who the other Edinburgh one was who was asking about nuchal blood tests. I think they had aspirations of sunshine too? Anyway I had my results through the post yesterday for my nuchal scan - 1 in 3,000 so no further action required. I presume they would phone rather than just send a letter if it was in the critically low numbers.

LittlemissChristmas · 14/12/2012 12:29

I've just received my letter for NT test. 1 in 125'000!!!

nickinoo · 14/12/2012 13:50

Im 13 + 5 and my morning sickness is the worst its ever been. Still not actually been sick but the heaving in the morning is horrific - it makes me feel awful for the rest of the day.

Anyone else still suffering? I stupidly thought when I hit the 12 week mark the nausea and tiredness would disapear - not get worse!

Sunbeam18 · 14/12/2012 15:24

Hi Sunny, it was me. Thanks for letting me know. I had the tests done on Wednesday. How long did it take to get your letter?

AmIGoingMad · 14/12/2012 17:47

Glad things have calmed down Suzy!

My boobs have been a little tender but not too bad so far-12+3 the sickness however is another story- just been violently sick twice in last half hour and was feeling sick all afternoon up til that point. I really hope it stops soon- that and crying all the time are driving me mad!

I'm glad that people have gotten results back that they're happy with too Smile

dreamydays · 14/12/2012 18:05

Hi suzy, glad to hear things have settled down for you. My amnio is booked for 20 Dec - they couldn't do it any earlier.

15+2 over here and still retching occasionally I'm afraid! And pretty knackered - but that may be because it's the end of a long autumn at work and now the party season. But on the whole a lot better than before 12 weeks (at least I can face the parties!).

pinkapples · 14/12/2012 18:20

14+3 here and thankfully touch wood no sickness in a week or so still retching at some things but on the whole calming to the point I start to wonder if things are ok.

Hubby and I broke the vow of celibacy last night although I was very scared but no bleeding so far so going to carry on I think Wink

However on the downside I did wake up from a dream screaming and crying that hubby had died! BlushLuckily he was still next to me unaware.

Also anyone else starting to see what could be the start of a stretch mark or 10?

SunnyL · 15/12/2012 09:37

Hi Sunbeam it was almost exactly a week to get my results in the post.

Sunbeam18 · 15/12/2012 10:40

Thanks, Sunny. Fingers crossed I get a good result like you.

webminx · 15/12/2012 18:06

Had my scan! All good, baby was very cross and every time the sonographer thought he had a good position for scanning, the baby turned its back and showed us all its bottom. Repeatedly. Was very funny but as a result, we were at the hospital for AGES before they were able to see all the things they needed to. They were brilliant though - really thorough and kind and very understanding about me being nervous (previous MMC). Was wonderful to see the baby bobbing about, heart beating and little arms and legs waving. So excited now!! Can almost relax and enjoy the rest of the pregnancy now :-)

forgetmenots · 15/12/2012 18:08

awww webminx, that's lovely - congratulations, an early Christmas present!

dreamydays · 15/12/2012 18:36

Congrats webminx!

Just had a look at the stats thread and there are 59 of us! June is going to be busy!

AmIGoingMad · 15/12/2012 19:12

Congratulations webminx! Little one already has his/her personality developing hey! Smile

SunnyL · 16/12/2012 19:19

Just found out my next door neighbour is due 10 days after me so I'll have a buddy when I'm on maternity leave. Also she already has a toddler so she might have an idea what to do unlike me who will still be looking for the manual when we bring it home from hospital!

DontmindifIdo · 16/12/2012 20:23

SunnyL - very helpful! I'm very excited that one of my friends who's DS is a few days younger than my DS is currently pg too and due 6 weeks before me, it's sort of like we've done it in "teams".

suzyrut · 17/12/2012 09:26

Morning everyone, great news on good scan and blood test results.

webminx after two other children I can't see any skin for stretchmarks!

pinkapples · 17/12/2012 13:30

Ahhhh just heard the heartbeat at my 15 week appointment p

pinkapples · 17/12/2012 13:31

It felt quite low down tho is that normal? Midwife didn't seem concerned GrinGrin
