Me, you and Shanelle are all in the same boat it seems Shelly.

I'm not looking forward to my AN appt in the morning. Apart from the sweep. Well, not looking forward to that... but, you know what I mean! She best bloody do one actually. Or i'll be going to someones house for one.

Got pootractions again :( FGS!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 08/11/2012 17:30

stunt you have no dea how close to the truth you are! Good delivery but lts a lot of blood (. Think is just me a happened before) so after six attempts by to different people to get a canuala in, I now have electrolytes and synth icon being pumped in to try and sort it out. I don,t mind, still in my delivery room which is nice and quiet and getting lots of attention, despite the bruised and battered arms.

Must be said my DH has been super brill, but having here to escape to and all your support has really helped over the last few frustrating days.

miss what do you say? What a terrible situation. I think you are doing the best things though and most importantly she will needs her friends.

passi had all of that after my sweeps with 2 and 3 and then went into labour. COME ON,said in a blokey, beer and football kind of way.

Xx

Another one having beans tonight. Specifically, jacket potato with cheese and beans. Triggered by an episode of Mr Tumble where he goes to a cafe and orders said dish. It always makes me fancy it (and it's a favourite episode of DD's so we see it often).

Wishing magic-fingered midwives for all those having sweeps soon. I don't get my first sweep for another three weeks!!

Passmethecrisps · 08/11/2012 18:00

Well, more stringy browny crap and some pootractions at the moment. Lots of BH though.

Poor sister sounds like she has been through the mill. She was induced this morning and has been having contractions every minute but no progress at all. Yikes

TheDetective · 08/11/2012 18:04

I'm having spag bol for tea. Don't really fancy it though, but what the hell! Might add a little chilli powder... mwhahaha!

MissMummy1 · 08/11/2012 18:06

We have no beans in the cupboard!! Fuck... Sad

WaitingForMe · 08/11/2012 18:08

Bollocks! DH didn't get the job. They really liked him but decided to go with an internal candidate because it'll be cheaper. I really thought he had it Sad

I actually feel sick.

TheDetective · 08/11/2012 18:09

Oh Waiting :( How horrible. Did he ask for feedback? Will the consider him again in the future? I've been there so many times, with job interviews. It is shit. Especially so at this time for you :(

Crap waiting Sad - no consolation just now but from experience there's always something better waiting round the corner. We've been there ourselves a few times over the past couple of years.

TheDetective · 08/11/2012 18:34

I peed in the bath. Accidently. Only a tiny dribble. But still. Blush

I think I relaxed a liiiiiiiiiiiiittle too much!

DesperateHousewife21 · 08/11/2012 18:36

Sorry waiting what a pain in the arse :(

georgee I know which mr tumble ep you mean! Ds is a big fan too and although the good doesn't look all that appetising in that episode it always makes me want it too!

georgee · 08/11/2012 18:52

DH ha ha, I always fancy the egg on toast from that episode too. But (paranoid preggers that I am) I'm holding off on the runny eggs for now. There's a thread on the Pregnancy board about pate today actually, it's so making me look forward to being able to have some - as well as all the other things I've been avoiding!

Waiting - so sorry about that, what a disappointment. And such a shame as it could have been something they worked out before stringing external candidates along. Hopefully they'll keep him on file for future opportunities, sounds like he really impressed them. You should be very proud of him.

BarmeeMarmee · 08/11/2012 18:54

waiting really sorry to hear that. Hopefully as has already been said it means something bigger and better is just around the corner.

Passmethecrisps · 08/11/2012 19:08

I am so sorry waiting. What a horrible situation. It is infuriating when jobs are given to candidates for financial reasons rather than suitability. It is such a short-term strategy as a more suitable candidate will be more effective and therefore more financially sound.

More pootractions but no sign at all of any poo.

Will watch more prison break then another relatively early night. Suddenly I am getting the hang of pre-baby maternity leave

ShellyBobbs · 08/11/2012 19:16

I wee'd a bit today walking in the street, I've never done it before and thought it was my waters Blush

Sorry about the job Waiting

Detective Fingers crossed that the sweep works for you tomorrow, no reason it shouldn't now, especially as you say your cervix has been favourable for sometime now. Ooooh, a weekend baby, no disruption with school either, that's why I'd really like a Friday nighter Grin

Oh and awful news about the scans. All you can do is let your friends know you're there for them really.

TheDetective · 08/11/2012 19:24

Can someone please come and take my DP away please? Seriously? Even for one night. There are going to be explosions of the not good variety soon.

ARRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.

MissMummy1 · 08/11/2012 19:34

Detective I've just packed mine off for his nightshift 40 mins early. He's pissing me off no end today so feel your pain!

DesperateHousewife21 · 08/11/2012 19:37

I have to wear panty liners everyday because of wee leakages, it's hard to tell what's wee and what's discharge tbh.

georgee ooh yes I'm looking forward to all the forbidden things again, esp pâté and brie!

Can contractions start from very strong BHs or is it always a mild period pain? (Assuming the waters aren't the first sign) I've been getting increasingly strong BHs recently aswell as discharge and going to loo aloooot more.

TheDetective · 08/11/2012 19:40

All I want is to be prepared for the baby, and enjoy our last few days before chaos begins. Fed up of having to nag him to do stuff. And him having a strop because he has to do something! If he'd done it this morning... we'd be sat chilling out now having tea. But no. Instead I'm seething inside. And he is in a mood WITH ME!!!

He used the last of something I needed for tea - and I'd already started, and it was a pretty essential ingredient. Now he is annoyed because I insisted he go to the shop for some. We live right by Sainsburys. He drives there. And he is still moaning! If he hadn't used it all.... then....well....!

Passmethecrisps · 08/11/2012 19:40

DH good question cause me too.

I wee'd myself earlier reading a thread on here. I had a moment of hope that if might be waters but no.

TheDetective · 08/11/2012 19:42

I sniff my pants every loo trip. Just incase Grin. I leak way too much :(

BarmeeMarmee · 08/11/2012 19:48

Detective maybe he and my DH can be packed off together? He decided to announce to me when I walked back into the room during tea time that DS had said he didn't like me. I know small children say things all the time and I shouldn't take it to heart but why did he have to tell me? I didn't need to know he'd said it. I'm 40 weeks tomorrow, so unvelievably sore and tired and feeling hideously sick and all it's made me want to do is sit and cry! Was feeling pleased having managed to get some washing (inc hand washing) done and hung out as well as having cleared up the kitchen etc and now I just feel, well, crap Sad.

Passmethecrisps · 08/11/2012 20:12

Hmm. Sometimes detective I wonder if you and I are related. I have sniffed and examined my knickers for the most part of my pregnancy.

Not feeling great again - sore head and very slightly light headed. Poop
