I'm back in bed. Fuck it. I'm tired.

ShellyBobbs · 07/11/2012 11:10

2 of my kids have only just gone into school, set off at the usual time this morning and it was totally gridlocked, took an hour to get 1 mile to the end of my street! Chucked bigun out and told her she had 20 mins to get to school (she's OK, in year 8 at high school), to which she said, 'I don't even know where I am.' She is such an air head Grin Luckily my friend came for a brew and has just taken them for me so I'm off for a bath.

Commiserations to all you ladies stuck in limbo, pity we can't just shove our hands up, grab the head and drag them out (child abuse?).

ShellyBobbs · 07/11/2012 11:10

And was up all night itching the fucking rash again which has flared back up Angry

Iheartpasties · 07/11/2012 11:12

Sophia you do need a hug! Its just so hard mentally to not know what these babies are up to! But it will be all worth it (this is my mantra now!!).

Iheartpasties · 07/11/2012 11:17

shelly that rash sounds awful.

I had the fan on all night, last night coz t'was very sweaty here. It's hard to sleep with a fan buzzing all night, but after about two nights you get used to it!? Then when you turn it off it sounds wierd and quiet!!

Thechick · 07/11/2012 11:27

Hey all
It's my birthday today!!!

I'm loving reading this thread and seeing what you guys are up to. I feel like I've missed out a bit having had my little one at 34 weeks, but hey, I wouldn't change anything. It must be quite an exciting time for you all.

applepieinthesky · 07/11/2012 11:33

Yes where is missmummy? Hmm...

I've been doing gardening this morning. We have some bushes in the front garden that are overgrown so thought I would chop them down then that's the last time for about six months that I'll have to do it. Got some washing on while I'm soaking in the bath then need to crack on with sorting our bedroom out. It's the last room in the house left to do. DP is supposed to be helping but keeps putting it off. He doesn't understand I need to do it before baby arrives, it's driving me crazy. Yes potentially it could be three weeks if he's late but he could also come tomorrow and if he does I want to spend time relaxing and bonding with him, not worrying about the state of the house.

Dixiebell · 07/11/2012 11:36

Just off to Sainsbury's to buy my cake ingredients after procrastinating all morning, shut door to realise keys inside, locked myself out without even car keys. Duh. Luckily mum lives 5 mins away and was in. What with forgetting purse and dropping eggs in there yesterday I feel like a right eejit. Sainsbury's is a bad place.

Brockle · 07/11/2012 11:41

Thanks peaky Grin. I have sworn DH to secrecy but thought I should share here. House tidied and only really crappy jobs to do (cleaning DS1's football kit, cleaning the windows) so I am going to watch Prisoner of Azkaban and ignore them.

georgee DH now just sleeps in the other room cos he know he will get no sleep with me moaning and groaning. Besides DS2 has started to creep in now that he knows the space is free. Its nice to be woken up with a sleepy "i love you" from Zak.

Happy birthday chick Smile

DesperateHousewife21 · 07/11/2012 11:49

brockle I get stuck to my birthing ball all the time!

I just had a mini tantrum then burst into tears Confused ds was most concerned.
I'm also absolutely exhausted today and could sleep for a hundred years. Please let this mean labour is imminent because I can't deal with feeling like this for potentially three more weeks.

Good news though the newborn snowsuit I bought off eBay arrived and its sooo cute and immaculate condition.

Iheartpasties · 07/11/2012 11:56

dixie thank fuck your mum was in!!

ComradeJing · 07/11/2012 12:00

Just waving hi to everyone still waiting. No news here from me. Off to bed now :)

FatimaLovesBread · 07/11/2012 12:03

I'm going to add myself to the list of those feeling shit today Sad
Had no sleep at all last night, tried in bed, tried on the sofa, went back to bed, went back to the sofa and watched tv. Finally went back to be at 5:50am. By the time DH got up for work at 6:30 i'd had a grand total of 15 minutes sleep all night! Angry
I was going to take DH to work so I could have the car and meet my mum in town but decided that wasn't a good idea with no sleep.

I did manage to get some after DH went to work but then was wide awake at 10:30. Seems my body only wants to let me have 4 hours Angry Looks like i'll be in a crabby mood all day

FatimaLovesBread · 07/11/2012 12:03

Oooh detective Sounds interesting, was I wearing a nice dress?

applepieinthesky · 07/11/2012 12:06

Happy birthday thechick. Have a lovely day Smile

My mum just called. She has come down with a nasty sounding sickness bug and she sounded awful on the phone. Baby is now under strict instructions not to come until next week or she won't be able to be at the birth with me or hold him when he's born. That would devastate her, it's her first grandchild and she's been looking forward to it so much. 38+5 today so hopefully he'll stay put a while longer. But not too long, don't want to go overdue either! Any time next week is fine baby - are you listening?! Grin

CharleeWarlee · 07/11/2012 12:13

Have showered, tidied bedrooms and changed bedding. Got one wash load in now, another 2 to do after.

DP crawled out of bed at 11am, and after taking an hour out of the day to actually wake up he decided he would clean the cot at 12pm. His idea of clean is not mine though so I shall be going in a minute to redo his shit job help him out a bit. Then im going to tackle washing the bathroom floors and kitchen floor, dust everywhere and hoover upstairs, downstairs and the actual stairs...

Am trying to find more things to do...nesting maybe...but I only have a small 2 bed house and cant think of anything else Confused

Oh yay...just saw the reflection in laptop screen of something else that needs doing. The windows and curtains.

Busy bee me Grin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 07/11/2012 12:18

DH glad you got your eBay purchase before the end of the day. re your tantrum.

Everyone seems on a bit of a nesting spurt, I feel done with that I have no energy my hips are aching and with all the latent phase crap I can't even be bothered with the birthing ball today, seems like I am not the only one though.

Love to everyone let's hope this means we are going to have November thread baby boom in the next couple of days.

Xx

applepieinthesky · 07/11/2012 12:20

I suddenly feel like I've got loads of energy. It's most bizarre.

WaitingForMe · 07/11/2012 12:20

Happy Birthday Chick

I'm really struggling not to get defensive about being pregnant regarding work. I had a call from a broadsheet journalist yesterday who had a note to call me asap because I was heavily pregnant. She kept asking how I thought the next few months would go and obviously I have no idea but don't want it mentioning in the piece because it simply cant affect the business too much. I keep getting clients asking how I'm doing and I'm sure they're just being nice but I tend to jump on the reassurance about their project schedules. At this point DH is still unemployed in a weeks time! The business has to be ok, there simply isn't an alternative from where I'm sat today.

Must. Stop. Stressing.

pikz · 07/11/2012 12:23

I cried on the midwife for no good reason, except for no sleep in two nights and the prospect of another 3.5 weeks if they make me go to 40+12...

So I'll join the grumpy tired hormonal club....

FatimaLovesBread · 07/11/2012 12:34

I've completely lost the nesting bug and I've run out of things to do.
Going to have to find something or i'll end up sitting here fed up and hormonal all day

Happy Birthday thechick

(((hugs))) to the rest of the fed up club

MissMummy1 · 07/11/2012 12:35

Don't worry ladies, I'm fine! Just been very busy the past couple of days. Thanks for worrying but I think I'm in for the long haul!

Our landrover finally went last night. AIBU to be pissed off that he sold it for half what the scrapyard offered because it was going to another landrover wally 'enthusiast'?? Twat. Never mind, it's gone. and so will he be if he's serious about replacing it Hmm

No other news, just had a lot on yesterday with visitors, an epic tesco shop (that almost killed me) and yoga. Talking about our daily gripes at the start was funny, all the 12-16ish weekers were moaning about morning sickness. Cut to me: "I'm MissMummy1, I'm 37 weeks and I also have morning, wait, all day sickness" GrinBlush

Surprised there aren't more baby announcements. Good luck to all those who are imminent and congrats to anyone I've missed!!

Elizadoesdolittle · 07/11/2012 12:36

Happy birthday chick there are so many of us with November birthdays. Obviously a great month to be born Smile

Went to midwife this morning and baby is 3/5ths palpable. She's booked me in for another appointment next week when she said we can discuss a sweep if I want one. She doesn't seem to think ill make it as far as that appointment. I hope she's right.

Chunkychicken · 07/11/2012 12:36

I keep waking at 4am. EVERY FUCKING MORNING. For no reason. Grrrr.

Other than that, business as usual here, still pregnant, been to toddler group and trying to get the energy to do some housework.

Feeling empathy/sympathy for everyone though - hate it when DHs don't listen/sleep all the time/do jack shit/do a half-arsed job & given the baby's room is nowhere near done, can also sympathise with those having work done. Hugs all round!

Dixiebell · 07/11/2012 12:58

pasties, I know, I'd have been buggered if she wasn't in. Luckily wasn't with DS too. Thinking perhaps I should hide a key outside somewhere now, but never done it before. Hot to Sainsbury's anyway, bought ingredients, as I do every year I forgot you have to soak the fruit overnight before making so can't actually bake cake today anyway Hmm.

missmummy, we are due around the same time so was a bit of self-interest in wondering where you were!
