Me too, although my love of The West Wing has helped me to understand more than I thought!

Dimbleby and Vine on the BBC also doing a sterling job explaining!

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 07/11/2012 00:57

Yes, west wing addiction here too - definitely helps!

GTbaby · 07/11/2012 01:03

If u like west wing check out new show on more 4. Scandal. Very good

Just popped into say hi.
Can't get over how much LO has changed.

Wonder how long I can keep up taking the daily pic lol

misslaughalot · 07/11/2012 01:07

I've heard good things about Scandal, might have to catch up on it during ML.

A good tip about the daily pic. I've seen some great YouTube videos where people have stitched them together to make a film of baby's first year!

FatimaLovesBread · 07/11/2012 01:51

I'm still awake. I knew three nights in a row would be too much to ask Angry
I was going to get up and take DH to work at 6:30am so I could have the car. Might stay in bed now though

Iheartpasties · 07/11/2012 02:15

Iheartpasties · 07/11/2012 02:17

The dishwasher started working again (after DH had rung the letting agent to complain! oops), but DH over loaded it so 50% of it is still dirty, g'ah.

It was my due date yesterday and no one asked me didly shit about it - not even one 'have you had the baby yet?' text.

glendathegoodwitch · 07/11/2012 02:20

Bloody grrrrrr!!!!

From 9pm until 11.30 I had regular though not painful contractions while we watched a crappy film (I'll never get those minutes back lol) and thought ohhhhh I'll grab a few hours until they crank up - nothing, nada, zilch so laid in bed wide awake wondering what if anything is gonna happen and now can't sleep!!!!! This is driving me insane - my other two waters went and bosh off we went but this is wicked and tormenting!!!!

wellieboots · 07/11/2012 03:45

Hello ladies!

detective, sophia and glenda, hope something starts moving along for you again soon - it must be SO frustrating Shock

pasties glad the dishwasher working again, I would be :) if I had had no texts/calls/FB messages, but at the same time it is nice to feel loved, I guess! And YAY for a cooler day today.

Saw the doctor today, decided I needed an end date so she has booked me to go in Friday night to be induced. I would have preferred Monday but it was booked up, and I didn't want to wait much longer than that.

Hope everyone else is doing OK, and fatima thanks for the stats, I had been meaning to do it but not got to it yet, just thought it was a great idea....it's a relief to see that although we've had some early arrivals there are still some Nov babies!!!

StuntNun · 07/11/2012 04:59

Can't sleep Sad DS2 has been waking in the night again after we thought he was finally sleeping through at age 6 and he's been back to sleep for an hour and I'm wide awake. I'm never going to cope with labour on this little sleep.

At least I was awake to find out that the US managed not to screw up the election this time.

My friend finally text me back last night to say they think the baby has a swelling in its tummy but it wasn't v clear on the ultrasound. She's seeing someone from fetal medicine today to find out for sure. Bit worried for her :(

Iheartpasties · 07/11/2012 07:24

Two fo my friends have had their babies - I am NOT jealous, oh no not even a litte bit!!

Dishwasher has conked out again (brilliant!).

Just got back from the midwife. No news really. The baby will come when the baby comes!

Iheartpasties · 07/11/2012 07:25

Fingers crossed for your friend dh21

Iheartpasties · 07/11/2012 07:43

Who's had a baby over night then? come on babies!!!!

DesperateHousewife21 · 07/11/2012 07:52

I've been having tightenings this morning but nothing too exciting could well be nothing.

SwissArmyWife · 07/11/2012 07:58

I've been having tightenings and ALL sorts since 36 weeks! It's driving me crazy!

Just want to give birth now. Sulk sulk whinge whinge.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 07/11/2012 08:11

Sad am still here. Had a really good night sleep last night to be woken at 5 with a contraction, then some pretty nice contractions followed which went round to my back. I got up had a shower and they a seem to have slowed down again. However, baby has been pretty quite since I got up, only one movement to speak of, so if still quiet in another Hour after an Icey drink then I am phoning the day assessment unit.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 07/11/2012 08:16

Also, TMI here, but other than my show, and a bit more of it in the early hours of the morning, I seem to be having no discharge after having loads at the weekend. What's that all about?

jaylee89 · 07/11/2012 08:34

All this stopping and starting is sooo annoying i was having tightenings last night for a few hours which were quite uncomfortable and everytime i had one loads of gunky stuff was coming out of me (sorry tmi) they were every 8 mins or so. Went to bed and they must have stopped because i woke up at 7 to jack shit!.........having few period pains today which make me stop in my tracks but nothing else. Bump is very low abd virtually covering my fanjo now. Hopefully wont be to long 39+3 here. ........ouch! Am getting one now and they are stingers. Hope things pick up for you soon detective and sophia. Keep us posted.

Peaky1 · 07/11/2012 08:41

pasties what is your dishwasher not doing? Is it just not cleaning properly? If that's the case then my remedy is to put the empty dishwasher on the hottest wash it can do with your normal powder/liquid in its usual place.

Guy who fixed my dishwasher last time advised it and it always works for me. He said you don't need to use posh dishwasher cleaners etc like Calgon as its all expensive needless bollocks. He also aid to not use tablets as these are the worst for clogging. Just to use cheapy supermarket's own dishwasher liquid. Had no probs since!

Same goes for washing machine too!

Passmethecrisps · 07/11/2012 08:45

Don't take this the wrong way sophia but I am sorry to see you this morning!

Funny you should mention total lack of discharge because I was just about to google having no discharge. I have had no show to my knowledge but have had pretty much no discharge for days.

mrswee · 07/11/2012 08:47

First day of mat leave at last. I am going to try and be a bit more positive than I was last night.
I should have been pleased to finish work but the enormity of the job we have with this house before I can even think about relaxing really got to me. DH was giving our bathroom fitter a lift home last night and my hormones started raging, every where I looked there is random mess in a random place or a box full of random stuff that isnt easy to put away. Luckily for DH my friend rang me and I had a good moan before he got home, otherwise we probably would have had a horrible stressy argument.
WE STILL DON"T HAVE A BATHROOM ARRRGH, however we have rented the flat, which is good but it means we don't have a bathroom there either! a few more days, just a few more days.. I would be able to see the light if I hadn't been getting told that for the last 10 days.
You are all wishing your babies here while I am hoping mine stays in a bit longer. I need to get a chance to rest and relax before before it comes.
The whole house is covered in a film of tile cement dust, not matter how often I clean it, it comes back so I don't want to get the baby stuff out..... and breath!!
I had a vision that my house would be almost there by the time my mat leave came and all I would have to do is sort out the baby stuff and make the nusery all nice at my leisure and really focus on this baby and enjoy the task. fat chance

Sophiathesnowfairy · 07/11/2012 08:52

pass I am not offended! It's weird isn't it? Has ever happened to me before. Any thoughts detective?

jaylee welcome to the latent phase. It's awful, it is like being really messed about, you psych yourself, and others, right up only for it all to stop. I feel really low now that I am not performing, and obviously there are expectations of me at this point. Obviously when you have childcare needs you have to let pother people know you can't just lock he doors and get on with it.

Baby wiggling around was normal now.

DesperateHousewife21 · 07/11/2012 09:06

Another one here who's discharge has gone awol, never thought id actually want to see it!

Feel so shattered this morning and so so sick of being indoors but think I've got an eBay parcel coming so have to wait in for the post, bet its one of those days where it doesn't come til 2.
The damn cold is still lingering too grr!

Iheartpasties · 07/11/2012 09:09

peaky the buttons dont turn on/light up, so you cant even turn it on!! The letting agent said the owner said that their LO used to press all the buttons all the time and it happened to them, so the letting agent advised us not to let DD press the buttons all the time - funnily enough we do not let her press the buttons!! argh!

mrswee hugs for you, renovating is hard hard work and I'm sure its extra stressful when you are nearly 9 months pregnant!
