Wowee Alamaya congratulations on your safe arrival. I didn't even know babies could come out feet first!

Sophia I found a website collecting data on births related to due date then excluded all the data before 39+4 then reanalysed the remaining data to get a percentage.

Alamaya Wow! Congratulations and welcome baby Matthew to the world, what a quick and scary birth - v.glad to hear all is well - Congratulations.

Passmethecrisps · 04/11/2012 22:38

My goodness alamaya that sounds like an incredibly intense experience. Welcome to the world baby Matthew.

I am having another evening of incredibly sharp pains up my bottom. I've just been to see if I could have a poo and it felt like the world was going to fall out of my fanjo. Every evening for the last 3 days I have tightenings as well. All very irritating really.

kissyfur · 04/11/2012 22:45

Blimey alamaya!! That must have been so frightening, glad baby matthew is all ok, congratulations!!

Chunkychicken · 04/11/2012 23:12

Congratulations Alamaya. That must have been shocking (for everyone) but glad he's here safe & sound.

All well here with ChunkyChick. S/he were being a pickle and very sleepy at first, so was monitored for about an hour, but by the end, we were back to rib-kicking bladder-bouncing duties. Have been told to call again IMMEDIATELY if I am concerned about blood/waters/pain/movements but otherwise could be one of those things.

S/he had been quieter the last couple of days, and there is definitely variety in.movement depending on position (think its harder for me to feel some movement if baby is in pure LOA, rather than twisted more OP), but today was very odd.

Who said about laughing with the pain?? I did that when baby's head seemed to be burrowing down and causing really sharp fanjo pains and it was hilarious and agonizing at the same time!! I couldn't walk, it hurt so much, but I found this hilarious.

Pass I sometimes get that without being pg!! Blush

Passmethecrisps · 04/11/2012 23:36

Me too chunky. Stabby bottom pain has always been a 'thing'

Glad you and the chick are fine

ComradeJing · 05/11/2012 00:10

Wow... congratulations Alamaya. What an entrance!

Oh Chunky I had that yesterday! It felt like someone had punched me in the pubic bone and I was exactly the same being caught between laughter and agony. DH and had a shag a couple of hours earlier and I told him I would kill him if that kicked things off.

DH has just left for a really important work trip to Thailand. I couldn't say anything but didn't want him to go but with recent relocation to Sydney & the state of the business here he HAD to go. DD and I watched his plane taking off from our apartment which has views of the flightpath. I loved it DD couldnt give a fanjo.

SIL arrives tomorrow so that if I do give birth someone can stay with DD.

Bloody apartment upstairs started renovations today. Drilling is vile. Need to take DD out to get away from the noise but CBA.

Like an actual firework - Johnathan arrived in 26 minutes out of nowhere at 2.39am weighing 7lb3oz - amazingly worth it. Smile

Peaky1 · 05/11/2012 05:36

Congrats Tits! In 26 mins?! Shock Did they put the drip in or break your waters then?

Titsalinabumsquash · 05/11/2012 05:48

No they came in to declare 'induction a failure' then left me all day with nothing, no monitoring, contractions or anything. I got one almighty contraction at 2am from nowhere which popped the waters, told them to be put back into bed and told to sleep. I then got contraction after contraction on top of each other and repeatedly mashed the call bell to be told to wait while they handed over. Screamed bloody murder until they examined me at which point they bundled the bed into a lift as he crowned in the corridor and was out in one. Very scary but I'm so glad it's done, he's perfect. Smile

Iheartpasties · 05/11/2012 05:51

Alamaya Oh wow, was that your first baby? Congrats on the homebirth. How was it for you? Precipitous births can pretty full on hope you are keeping well. And mega wow at it being a footling breech! DD was an unplanned homebirth, and l;abour was 1.5 hours. Congrats to you again.

tits that was fast, good work!!

wellieboots · 05/11/2012 05:53

tits HUGE congratulations Grin Grin Grin

You have been to hell and back with this pg, and especially in the last few weeks - and it doesn't look like your care was any better for the actual birth Sad Angry

BUT you have your little boy now, I hope you are able to get home quickly and start enjoying your new life together and that once you've had some time to "come tee" as we say in Scotland, that there will be strongly worded complaints to anybody and everybody. But for the moment, just enjoy your beautiful little boy - well done you! :)

SwissArmyWife · 05/11/2012 07:00

My goodness!! Some very eager babies!!
Absolutely amazing. Congratulations alamaya
and tits, wow it sounds like your little boy was definitely on your side, 26 mins?!You must be so happy and relieved that it is all finally over.

I do hope I have a quick labour!

kissyfur · 05/11/2012 07:09

Oh wow! Congratulations to you tits on the arrival of Jonathan! 26 minutes now that is fast!! Hope the pain goes away now and you can enjoy these special early days Smile

MadamGazelleIsMyMum · 05/11/2012 07:10

Bloody hell tits, what an ordeal after everything else. Really hope you recover quickly and well and can enjoy it all from now.

georgee · 05/11/2012 07:10

Hoorah for you Tits!!! You showed them with your self-made birth! Your body knew what it was doing after all - good thing you were in the hospital! How absolutely brilliant, really enjoy this time with little Johnathan.

And Alamaya, what a story to tell little Matthew when he's older! Must have been terrifying at the time but what a fantastic outcome. Well done you!

Loving all these stories, keep them coming everyone!! By the time my baby's born I'll have heard of every single permutation of birth that can possibly happen!

Quiet day planned here - guys coming to put in cavity wall insulation so we're staying in, but an old friend's coming round this evening for a takeaway so I'm looking forward to that. Plus of course I'll be checking the thread every five minutes as usual!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 05/11/2012 07:18

Wow tits that's brilliant. I hope you get some relief now.

Pissed off to the max this morning. A whole night of good contractions, one about every ten minutes, was thinking this has got to be it. But no, after a night of it, mostly spent awake, has just slowed down to nothing but a dull constant ache and I now have a full day of a poorly toddler. I haven't even had a show to cheer me up. Sad Angry

StuntNun · 05/11/2012 07:22

Congratulations on the birth of little Johnathan Tits and that's a great weight too. I'm sure you can't believe he's here at last and a firework baby too, what a great day to have your birthday. I hope the SPD pain goes away quickly, does it usually clear up soon after the birth? On another note you certainly have more fuel for the fire, your complaint is going to be quite something. Tits we were all rooting for you so Johnathan's safe arrival has made a lot of grumpy hormonal women very happy. Well done to you and MrTits, I hope you get home soon.

ComradeJing · 05/11/2012 07:36

That's amazing tits congratulations.

CharleeWarlee · 05/11/2012 07:42

Congrats tits - Very strange as I woke up at 2.35am on my clock to go for a wee and whilst I was having a wee was thinking to myself 'I wonder if tits has had the baby'

Congrats Alamaya on your arrival also.

I do hope my arrival is as quick as the rest of the november babies popping out!

WaitingForMe · 05/11/2012 07:44

Congratulations Alamaya and Tits.

Are there many of us left?

kirrinIsland · 05/11/2012 07:56

Congratulations tits and alamaya - quick work from both of you! Wishing you both all the best.

My contractions, such as they were, have completely ground to a halt - now back to nothing again. I really though it was going to be this weekend.

kirrinIsland · 05/11/2012 07:57

Cross post Sophia - frustrating isn't it!

Clarella · 05/11/2012 07:58

Congratulations tits, it must be such a relief to finally have him here! - I'm shocked at your treatment though.

Wow congratulations too alamaya , what a birth! Glad all is well.

Hope people don't mind me lurking; originally on this thread then decamped to Dec as due date changed but then changed again to 26th Nov - we've had one surprise over there but its helpful to be reading everyone's experiences here at the mo is helpful as I over analyse every fixing pain and leak! 37 wks today :) so I'm sure I'm fine, here's hoping more of you ladies get going properly soon!

A sure fire way to get baby to come on time or before; we've gone and ordered carpets as they were a ridiculously fab price and we've lived on floor boards for 3 years probably to be installed 3 days before due date Confused
