Congratulations rowing lovely news and a lovely name :)

Good luck VQ hope everything stays under control until tomorrow!

horseylady · 24/10/2012 07:27

I re did nine yesterday.

Cried for 40mins straight last night. Don't feel much better this morning. Going to do the horses, then I've been incited to a halloween party at a toddler group, then I need to collect a present from m&s, see the mw. Then I'm going out with my parents and out for dinner. All I actually want to do is lie in bed. And Hoover and mop the floor. Which is why I cried last night. Stupid hormones!

horseylady · 24/10/2012 07:28

Oh and congrats rowing!!! Good luck vq!!! Though will probably keep wishing you luck over the day!!

Lilliana · 24/10/2012 07:31

Sorry you didn't get your rings off Pass. I eventually did mine in the bath in the evening - got in a read for a while (hands obviously elevated!) didn't put them in the warm water just covered them in soap and they popped off. Don't know if this will help but if not fx you don't swell any more and I'm sure they will be fine.
Also I wouldn't do a 300 mile trip now - you are heavily pg and surely she should understand this?!

Stupid question but when discussing LOA/ROA is that my right or right as you look at me?!

Izzy I would ask to swap consultants, you are not getting the care you want and need and I'm sure you can.

Great news Chick I'm so pleased for you x

Yay YW and YWDH! So pleased for you all and a great weight. Take care and enjoy all the newborn cuddles x (Also very impressed to hear YWDH is cleaning)

Congratulations Rowing, hope you get some rest during the day

Sophia is this your first? (sorry can't remember) If so might they suddenly become interested in visiting after the baby has arrived? I would arrange your own lovely family christmas and sod them! They are the ones missing out and when they realise you have stopped making the effort to organise seeing them they might decide they need to do something about it themselves.

Tits give up being nice and hoping they will offer - pour on the whole works and insist. Sadly sometimes it is the only way. Good luck.

Jing I have packed babies bag but not mine or Dh's - I have made lots of lists and piles of things though!

Epic post! 2 days left at work, can't wait for mat leave now Grin

Iheartpasties · 24/10/2012 07:35

I have my hospital bag packed, but realised today it doesnt have anything in it for me to wear home. I dont know what I'll wear, dont have too many trousers that fit. Who knows what'll happen! maybe just come home in a nighty!!

horseylady · 24/10/2012 07:38

Pasties I have nothing to wear to come in either yet!!! Mainly because I hardly have any clothes which fit me!!

Iheartpasties · 24/10/2012 07:46

We are only a 7 min car trip from the hospital so if I have to stay in over night I can get dh to bring me some clothes. Otherwise I will have to make do. I'm hoping a quick in and out to be honest. Funny how sometimes I focus on a small detail and put my energies into trying to figure it, perhpas trying to forget 'giving birth'?!

DesperateHousewife21 · 24/10/2012 07:54

pasties I'm taking my plain black maternity tops for feeding and to wear home along with some joggers I got in h&m and prob just a coat over the top.

There's still a few things I need to pack but its all last min like my toothbrush but tbh it's not the end of the world if I forget that!
I've dug out my nursing bras and washed and packed those (not happy about having to wear those again) they're not underwired but if anyone fancies pretty/ non boulder holder nursing bras I recommend looking on figleaves. They're about £28 each but a lot more feminine and pretty looking!

horseylady · 24/10/2012 08:08

Yeah were close too!! All else fails my pj bottoms are black lol so will look ok!! She says!!

congratulations rowing lovely news.

Not peeing razor blades, just sharp pains on walking. Has stopped now so think it must have been baby's head n a nerve... Have been getting fairly frequent BH. Is that a sign??!!

Good luck VQ hope it is a false alarm for your sake, & the CS goes well.

Finished off my hospital bag yesterday, as feel it would be handy to have it all to hand even if I get my 'planned' homebirth. I haven't even thought about getting new nursing bras. I have been wearing all the ones from DD as maternity bras and have my HUGE ones ready for when the milk comes in. Once feeding is established, I'll get properly measured (feel certain I'm bigger this time around). Bloody expensive this baby-making business, men just have NO idea!!!

great news chick too :)

Iheartpasties · 24/10/2012 08:50

chunky yes the expense of maternity bras, and i always end up with ones that are not flattering, perhaps ccomfy sometimes, but i feel too tight to spend too much on them!

kissyfur · 24/10/2012 08:54

Congrats Rowing love the name, am biased though as that's our boy name too Smile hope you get some rest today

Blimey VQ good luck, if u have to go in today they will just do the section early won't they? And don't worry you won't be the only one having a big baby! Mine was approx 7lb 5 already at the scan the other day so I reckon we'll be having another 9lber like DD.

Really struggling with this breathlessness still, couldn't lie on my left side last night when trying to go to sleep. It's a bit frightening some times.

I still haven't properly packed my bag yet Jing it's on my to do list for this week

Might check out the sainsburys toy sale today too detective

Peaky1 · 24/10/2012 09:02

I need to bring my hospital bags in out of the car for a bit before it all goes damp! Plus I've forgotten what is in there.

I took someone else's tip from a while back and bought a Miriam Stoppard nursing bra from Debenhams. Mine is just a plain black one (not getting more than 2 for now as I've no idea what my breasticles will decide to do) and its so comfy! Much more supportive and better shaped than my maternity bras!

I hope junior manages to stay put today VQ. He'd be soooo grounded for making exit plans at this stage of the game!

Titsalinabumsquash · 24/10/2012 09:02

Morning ladies.

I'm currently waiting for DP to return from the school run, I really need a wee and need him to help me get there! Blush

Good luck VQ Smile

eversomuch · 24/10/2012 10:03

Gosh, I think I've missed several threads in a row. Congrats to everyone cuddling their new arrivals. Good luck, VQ, whatever happens today or tomorrow.

My ELCS is booked in for next Friday. Really counting the days now as I'm so uncomfortable. Can barely make it through a day without some chocolate. Is it too early now for some?

Finally made it to the shops to get some clothes to come home in -- settled on some comfy leggings from H&M that I'll wear over a long black tunic and a maternity cardigan I have from pg1. Should do the trick and not aggravate the scar/stitches.

How long are those having ELCS expecting to stay in hospital? I was in for two nights last night, but that was an EMCS and I lost a lot of blood. Hoping all will go a bit more uneventfully this time.

Stay comfortable, everyone, and be good to yourselves in these last few days/weeks.

eversomuch · 24/10/2012 10:04

That should have been: "I was in for two nights last TIME", of course.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 24/10/2012 10:09

Good luck vq hope it all goes to plan.

Hope you got to the loo tits before an accident!

Have had a massive blub today over the dad/Christmas situation feeling very sorry for myself as I my mum died and I have no siblings thus he is my only immediate family. Anyway have have now bucked up and realised I have fabulous in laws in Northern Ireland who are always desperate to see us and my own little family who need my love and attention

Off to my 38 week appointment with the GP. Would rather it was the midwife really as I am sure i would get a more thorough check up but we will see.

Sophiathesnowfairy · 24/10/2012 10:10

No eversois never too early for chocolate at this stage.Grin

Titsalinabumsquash · 24/10/2012 10:11

Yes I got there! Back in bed now, DP's computer has gone kaput so it's in many pieces on the bedroom floor. Hmm

kirrinIsland · 24/10/2012 10:16

Any twinges horsey ??! Apparantly hormones can cause tears and be a sign that labour is imminent?! hasn't been reading up on the early signs of labour and imagining I have all of them

Sophiathesnowfairy · 24/10/2012 10:17

horseyyou are welcome to pop in for a sob fest inbetween mopping and mucking out if required. I have tissues!

georgee · 24/10/2012 10:20

Yes horsey I was thinking it sounds as if you're rapidly approaching birth with those symptoms!! Keep us posted!

ShellyBobbs · 24/10/2012 10:25

Congratulations Rowing another little boy Grin

Oh VQ please look after yourself and REST. If you don't come on again now, I really hope that everything goes well for you either today (hope not) or for your scheduled c-section tomorrow. We will miss your motherly posts that are a plenty on here, I know you'll still be back on but you'll be too busy to be as good to us as you have been. The very best of luck and I will be thinking of you and have my fingers crossed that baby stays put until tomorrow. Grin

I've just got in from sweeping up the pavement outside [hconfused] In my defense I do live in a little cul-d-sac, but OMG, I'm turning into my mum! I don't even do that when I've mowed the lawn in summer and there is grass all over the road [hgrin] Something tells me there is not long left, hope not with this stupid behaviour, even the next door neighbour was laughing at me.

Have also been shopping, done the kitchen again, done a wash and pegged it out and just finished another wash. Oh and of course, caught up with you lot. I have to do hubby a spanking application for a job today and bloody finish my blanket!!!

Have told baby that it's not allowed to come today as Wednesday is no good for me, I'm too busy ferrying round the other kids to their after school clubs and a definite no-no tomorrow as it's the anniversary of my nana's death so it's just too morbid. Friday night is fine though (insert wishful thinking emotion).

Get me with all the new halloween smileys [hsmile]
