detective I think it will take some time, but if it is gonna happen, it is gonna happen. Do not fight it, do your hypnobirthing stuff and chill! If the pains go then great, but if they don't, you need to look after yourself and your baby. DP is right to say no to ikea.

YellowWellies · 18/10/2012 13:14

I wonder if Ikea give you vouchers if your waters break in store? M&S do...

Wink
TheDetective · 18/10/2012 13:18

Fuck it I'm off to M&S then... It's right next to Ikea Grin

Trying to relax but getting wound up because surely I of all proletariat should know if this is it or not!! Frustrating myself!

TheDetective · 18/10/2012 13:19

WTF?! That should clearly say people Hmm

Titsalinabumsquash · 18/10/2012 13:20

Wanna swap places detective? Wink

Seriously though, good luck if this is it, and to everyone else who is either starting or waiting for sweeps or having their final day before c-sections Smile

Sophiathesnowfairy · 18/10/2012 13:23

My girls used to call a penis a "boys" which I quite liked. Am not sure about Willy as DS is Willie.

But we just called the girls their bottom.

Am actually going out this afternoon!

ValiumQueen · 18/10/2012 13:30

detective you of all people should know that it is not an exact science. It is different for everyone, and may or may not develop. I think if you go to Ikea that is a sure fire way of it kicking off though.

ValiumQueen · 18/10/2012 13:35

Bought some things for in the advent callendar today, pants for DD1 so that is 10 days covered. Bargain at £4 total, reduced from £10 in Tesco. Spongebob Squarepants and they are pink. They also had tons of frozen food reduced to pennies, so got quite a bit. Had roast beef with yorkshire pud for lunch, followed by trifle for less than 50p!

TerrysNo2 · 18/10/2012 13:40

Hello November 2012!!

I just saw you all on active threads and am very envious of you. I was on November 2008 and November 2011 so your thread is close to my heart!

Good luck with your impending arrivals, my two November babies are awesome!! Grin

TheDetective · 18/10/2012 13:41

The community midwives are officially shitting themselves Grin long story but had email off SOM regarding prescription for a certain drug I've requested for 3rd stage if needed so I replied saying that it might not be able to wait til weekend to be sorted. DP has to go collect it this afternoon now. Oh dear!

Sure fire way to get things to stop?! Think it's slowed down anyway as I've sat on the ball!!

ShellyBobbs · 18/10/2012 13:44

Hehe, keep them on their toes Detective. If nothing else, take this for what it is, a damn good time to have a practice, if it turns out to be nothing then what have you lost, naaaaaffffiiiiinnnnnngggg (to be said in Monty Python tone).

Off to watch my little girls harvest festival now. See you later Grin

MissMummy1 · 18/10/2012 13:47

John Lewis are apparently the most generous with waters breaking vouchers...

Not to rub it in but i'm off to ikea en route to work. For hangers and their equivalent to dime bars!

daisychain76 · 18/10/2012 13:59

Good luck everyone having pains/getting ready for c sections and the like.

With DS my waters started majorly leaking in Asda. Sadly, as it was my first and wasn?t on MN, l had never heard of waters leaking and assumed l?d suddenly become incontinent! Always feel like l missed out on the chance to get some free goodies or vouchers...

TheDetective · 18/10/2012 14:11

*MM that is exactly why I need to go to Ikea! I ran out of baby hangers and have loads of clothes to hang!!

I also wanted lunch there :( bit late for lunch by the time we got there now...

StuntNun · 18/10/2012 15:02

Awwww thanks Terrys, nice of you to drop in.

YW I got mine this morning. Drool. That's Christmas presents sorted then.

I am really Envy of those going into labour. I can't help myself! I'm only 38+1 weeks but am turning into a right impatient madam. I will do my best to calm the feck down and relax (says the girl who just had a 2 hour nap). Anyway, I do hope these early labours/sections go wonderfully for you guys.

I had a waddle about this morning and bought quite a few things from the pound shop like a dodgy bathmat that I can throw afterwards (the ones I have are a lovely cream colour), bubble bath, sweets/chocolates, shower curtains (2 for 99p...yay!) Also got 2 oil burners and various oils. I went to light one for a test whiff and I cannot find where the hell my tea lights have gone Angry. Will have another walk to sainsburys in a bit then.

ValiumQueen · 18/10/2012 15:34

Just burnt some cookies. Nigella I am not Angry

TheDetective · 18/10/2012 15:49

Update:

I'm still pregnant Grin

Someone is having a laugh with me clearly! Think things are dying down! Just a constant back ache and falling fanjo feeling to put up with now!!

YellowWellies · 18/10/2012 15:52

Thank god! The thread was getting quiet without you. I even did some work whilst shirking from home!

Titsalinabumsquash · 18/10/2012 15:54

I'm very tempted to call my midwife in full floods of tears, I cannot do this anymore, I'm in agony, the SPD is somehow worse and the Tramadol knock me for six and leave me with a bad headache/sickness. I'm concerned about the impact it's having on my MH tbh. Sad sorry to sound like a drama queen... I'm soooo not coping.

ValiumQueen · 18/10/2012 16:03

Call them tits call them now darling. You have too much to cope with. Previously I think you mentioned admission to get pain relief sorted, or was that izzy ? I must admit I get you two confused as you are having equally shitty times with pain. You are not being a drama queen at all Thanks

ValiumQueen · 18/10/2012 16:04

It will be a very quiet thread when detective drops!

DesperateHousewife21 · 18/10/2012 16:37

Had a busy day today, went shopping this morning. Felt a bit woozy wonder if it was from the jab yesterday.
Trying to get some Xmas presents sorted now.

Took ds to the beach this afternoon, been on my feet a lot but am washing the sofa covers so haven't got anything to sit on except my ball or a hard dining chair (am sitting on the floor, not great)

Wonder how little is doing, detective I thought that was it for you, I reckon it won't be long though!

MissMummy1 · 18/10/2012 17:03

Detective they only had 3 packets left of them! I was not impressed! That said, most of my baby clothes are in drawers, so surely I don't have more than 24 things I want hung up?! I do

DH took me out for a lovely lunch in a posh wee cafe just opened in the village. It was v v good, we'll be back! He's also threatening with 'trialling dinner' in the Wee Restaurant (YW I think you recommended it ages ago?) before his folks are over. Only the best for them..... yawn Hey ho, hopefully a few nice meals out for preggers!

FatimaLovesBread · 18/10/2012 17:11

Last day of work finished!! Been for my hair cut and we've got our active birth ante-natal class tonight.

Welcome to the newbies!

Can't believe the amount of birthing action going on, I'm only 35 weeks tomorrow. It's not even November yet Grin

Good luck to little and detective and anyone else with potential impending births
