FINALLY got home from hospital. They were trying to admit me as they were going by the dates per the 7 week scan. Which was WRONG. I had to discharge myself .

Got so stressed and upset being there that contractions virtually stopped. Now I'm home they're back, but not as strong as they were.

Text my midwife to let her know about the shit I've just been through, but she hasn't got back to me.

Fucking bureaucratic wankbadgers.

Off to watch Mad Men and sulk .

How much difference do the dates from the 7 weeks scan make? What did they want to admit you for?

So frustrating when people don't listen to you isn't it.

But you're home now. And hoping for a HB no? Or have I made that up? Whatever, hope you can get a bit of peace and rest and be enjoying new born snuggles ASAP!

Sorry just read that back and my first two sentences together made it sound like I thought you were over reacting or something which was NOT what I meant at all. Poor editing by me. The questions were just out of curiosity, not in a 'well they know what they're doing' sort of way.

Biscuits I think it might be because when Smegs went for her 7 week scan they found out she was actually 11+ weeks, if she had been 7 actual weeks then she would only be 36 weeks now and premature, they clearly didn't read notes properly or listen to what they were being told and didn't add the 4 weeks back on.

No, sorry. Initial '7 week' scan put me at 11+3 so pregnancy dated from 9th Feb. The date of my last menstrual cycle was 6 days after that. So my proper due date was the 21st, which subsequent scans confirmed, but they refused to amend the details of the dildo-cam because there would be too much paperwork. Incorrect due date is the 15th of November.

Everyone (midwife, consultants etc) told me it would be ok and I would be listened to, despite me being worried about something like this happening. Guess I was right to be worried

Btw I am 41+2. They tried to convince me I was 42 precisely. I told them they were wrong, and explained why, but it's so bloody tiring having to fight your corner when you know you shouldn't need to.

How bloody annoying that you were ever in a position where you had to fight your corner smegs.
But, for now, forget about them and get yourself good and prepared for your imminent sneeze birth. Get on that birthing ball and get those contractions back! Good luck to you my love x
