Seeing as practically all of us have now got pg, here is a new home for all of us to come to carry on chatting after getting the BFP after our mcs. Today we are pregnant! :)

I know what you mean wild - I feel loved up with the DDs at the mo. I think it's partly because I have more loitering time, as it were.

I was thinking about my DDs and their births - DD1 was on time, and she is shyer and sticks to the rules, DD2 was 10 days late and she is more confident, does things to her own timetable, in her own way. So perhaps their little personalities does have an impact!
Goodness knows what that means this one will be like...

Anyway - you are right - it drags now but really I am trying to enjoy the free time, and enjoy anticipating the nice things to come. Flowers for all!

icequeenkate · 16/05/2013 17:41

booboomonster · 17/05/2013 15:49

wild we want a birth story or details please!? (impatient) Hope all going well.

Nothing going on here, feel as though it's never going to happen Sad.
Still, did get to see the Great Gatsby which is a riot of music and colour, though also quite sad.

sheldon glad DD is well and you are having fun showing her off! Probably a good idea to get her used to the car seat, and you can stop frequently if you need to.

ice glad to hear DS4 better, though boo to colds!

Chandelierforagirl · 17/05/2013 16:28

WildeRumpus · 17/05/2013 16:40

have only slept for an hour so am dizzy with tiredness atm and dh has flu! Flu! Chuh.

Baby is doing so well, feeding often and we have called him Lowen, which means happy in Cornish and is also in the name.of.our new house where he was born!

Briefly, contractions started at 7ish and didn't seem to want to go away, had decided not to pack ds off if I went into labour as wanted all family around me - is almost the point of a Hb! Thought if he woke up we could always take him then ifnecessary... So dh put him to bed and I hung out on my ball pretending not to be labouring. Went to bed at 11 and gave upat half past as contractions ramped up! By 12 rang.mw as were coming 5 mins apart and couldn't talk thru them. Dh did birthpool etc. Mw arrived at 12.30 and lowen was born at 1.54! Second mw didn't make it in time because I went from 6cm to pushing in an hour! Delivered in the pool, no pain relief just concentrated on breathing and a small amount of quiet cursing. No stitches, delayed cord clamping (is the norm here) and natural third stage :) was fucking awesome (for something so agonising!)

Oh, the.cord was wrapped around his neck twice but we.just unwrapped it and he.cried.straight away :) Nae bother.

Ds slept thru the whole.thing! Was amazing! We.finally went to bed at 5, stared at ds2 for a couple of hours and then ds1 came in sooooooo excited to finally get to kiss and cuddle his 'new best friend

Your turn boo! X

booboomonster · 17/05/2013 17:18

That sounds cool, wild well done you! Many congratulations to you all!

So glad it all went to plan - and how very convenient and organised of Lowen (cool name!) to make his arrival nocturnal! Big Flowers Flowers Flowers

booboomonster · 17/05/2013 17:19

hello chandelier / one!! xx

WildeRumpus · 17/05/2013 17:34

I did wonder if this was the real thing as all.my false labours had started in the morning and finished at teatime - being nocturnal is way more usual isn't it?

Was interested to discover that I didnt want to get into the birthpool until right at the end. I was.on.my ball mostly.

Knocks over chandelier in excitement. Helloooo :) x

booboomonster · 18/05/2013 15:06

Just checking in. Still no news here! I actually had contractions last night for a couple of hours, and a show this morning but midwife has just been and said it doesn't look imminent Sad. But I recall a midwife saying the same and that afternoon I was in established labour with DD2 so it's not an exact science!

On the bright side, she said she's pretty confident I'll be fine going to 40 + 14 before induction, and that the first method of induction they use I would still be able to use the birthing centre. So that has cheered me up a bit and relaxed me a bit. Still hoping it doesn't come to that, but at least I know I might still get a waterbirth (good for big babies apparently). But I'm still hopeful for the home birth etc.

That's all really. Hope you are all enjoying your lovely babies (sob! no, only joking). I was feeling rather despondent last night but feel better today. If I could stop all the pitying comments I seem to be getting every 5 minutes (if not phone, text or email, then on the street - I live very near both DDs schools so lots of people traffic) then I would feel a lot better!

Any updates with you wild? babe looks gorgeous on fb. I am Envy big time but also inspired Grin.

WildeRumpus · 18/05/2013 16:39

If you have had some contractions it won't be too long now?! So glad you have some breathing space re induction.

Did you have a sweep today?

Ah boo I have to say I am delighted not to be pregnant any more! And my boy is completely gorgeous! Just like a dark version of his brother but, tho it is early days, I would say a more relaxed version in his babyhood. My poor nipples are starting to crack as he has a lazy latch that I couldn't be bothered to sort out but we are on the case properly now with that. He feeds a lot which is hugely satisfying but am shattered after two nights totalling about 4 hours sleep...

Anyway. Generally all my fears about looking after two were utterly misplaced, I adore the chaos (on day two! Give me a week and I'll crack!) Never felt so lucky and content.

Good luck boo, am checking in constantly for news! Feel the pressure :)

OP posts:
icequeenkate · 18/05/2013 17:21

Confused for sore nipples! Ouch. Lansinoh time! Good luck with that Wilde.

C'mon babyboo. Contractions and show sound good - I've been in active labour 24 hrs after a show the 2 occasions its happened. Means you are heading in right direction, and 3rd baby so things could progress quickly.

Good luck! Will check in later to see what news.

Grin
booboomonster · 18/05/2013 19:13

Aw sounds lovely wild if exhausting & painful nips-wise!

Yes did have sweep hence midwife not encouraging!

Thanks for support, ladies - it will certainly be within the week!

Will keep ya posted.

WildeRumpus · 19/05/2013 10:16

Sticking neck in to look for baby boo :)

Love lansinoh! Think we getting bf sorted now. Hope, hope hope.

Opening the doors to visitors today. How to look normal?! Can't wait to show him off tho.

Ds has blisters appearing over him that then go scabby... But he has had chickenpox? Dr not sure what it is. Hmm. Any thoughts wise mommas?!

Sheldonella · 20/05/2013 16:16

Checking in here :) Hope all is going well boo!

Glad to hear you are getting the bf sorted wilde. I thought I never would but very glad that it is easy now. Did you get some visitors? We visited extended family to show DD off at the weekend and it was lovely.

to ice, snow and chandelier!

booboomonster · 20/05/2013 17:25

No news girls... [Sad]. Honestly, texts, emails & comments are driving me spare!!
Got the DAU tomorrow, which I am not looking forward to!!
It's gotta be soon, right!?! Confused

WildeRumpus · 20/05/2013 18:35

Soon soon soon boo :)

Arf ds has clearly got chickenpox! So whatever he had in Sept that we thought was chickenpox, wasn't?! We are in quarantine which, tbh, is wonderful :). Did have some visitors yesterday and was so.lovely to.see them but they ate and drank and traipsed mud thru my house and I harrumphed loudly when they left :). And Non childered friends keep asking if they can come over after work! No you can't!

:)

OP posts:
icequeenkate · 20/05/2013 20:26

Oh Boo! It will happen, of that you can be sure. And your bundle will be SO worth it! Grin

Oh Wilde! Chickenpox?! Bless DS1. Had the same here with DS1 and DS2. In a way it's good as you're at home and DH too, fewer visitors, DS1 gets attention too as well as babe. It's never a good time, but this is as good as any?! IYSWIM?! Lovely newborn cuddles. Yum.

Sheldon - so glad you had a lovely weekend. Is great fun showing off new babies.

Had a personal training session today. Can't do up my bra or sit on the loo! Blush Hope it's not like this for the next 12 weeks!! I WILL get back to my pre-baby size...Biscuit anyone? Grin
