Seeing as practically all of us have now got pg, here is a new home for all of us to come to carry on chatting after getting the BFP after our mcs. Today we are pregnant! :)

Nothing going on here now. Maybe it will be days.... Glad you are being treated like a princess wild I think this is probably the best time to get away with it! Roll on labour...

icequeenkate · 11/05/2013 18:16

Tried to add long laboriously typed message on phone and its not here! Angry

Basically saying hi, keeping fingers crossed, and cooking/eating a hot curry for you both tonight! Grin

WildeRumpus · 11/05/2013 18:42

:) ice

Boo my post to you made it look like I was eating the paper. I can categorically state that I did not eat the paper! I ate a scone :)

Baby is wriggly today! He doesn't want to come out, I can just tell.

icequeenkate · 11/05/2013 20:50

Whoooa! It was a hot one! feeling a bit sorry for DS4 who will get to sample it for breakfast Grin

Ha ha - eating paper - I did wonder!

booboomonster · 11/05/2013 22:41

Ha wild - well if u go into labour now we could start a whole rumour that paper eating gets labour started!
to ice!

booboomonster · 12/05/2013 15:08

hiya
just checking in to say no news here. Had one contraction last night around 3am... so not very productive! Midwife gave me a sweep but didn't think things were imminent - 4 on Bishops score. So I am bouncing on ball, walking, etc. Just trying to get babys head to apply pressure (am not engaged though didn't engage with other 2 until labour).
ho hum. Am trying to appreciate the free time I might have next week rather than the sleepless nights with a new born... Need to plan some really fun stuff...

WildeRumpus · 12/05/2013 15:34

A sweep! Exciting, who knows eh?!

I had two strong contractions that woke me in the night and then lots this morning - really thought that was it! But then started faffing and stressing with the birthpool and.it all.went. seems to be a pattern and even the mw picked up on the fact the birthpool might be stressing me out!

Anyway. Strong uncomfy period pains now but nothing will.happen. just knackered and if I am honest am really really pissed off! Trying not to be tho as there is just no point. Three days of being sahm with ds in front of me now, back to driving etc so not likely to have any time for labour shenanigans!

Harrumph!

WildeRumpus · 12/05/2013 15:36

I need to plan fun stuff too boo! Am thinking a new beach one day (if the weather perks up), a walk in some posh nt gardens down the road another and brownie making on.another... With lots of afternoons on the settee!

OP posts:
icequeenkate · 12/05/2013 15:59

Wilde - go to Trebah! A trot down to the bay and icecream shed will be fun. The stagger back up again will kill or cure. Failing that Trellisick is always lovely?

Boo - hope the effect of sweep kicks in later.

WildeRumpus · 12/05/2013 16:16

Thanks ice! I live down the road from trelissick and am yet to go there so shall do that! Got me nt membership last week so hurrah for summers in lovely gardens. Been to trebah, so lovely but pricy just for me and ds to mooch about. Will relent and go to soft.play tomoz if rainy like today methinks. Walking isn't too great for me atm, my spine feels like it is compressing into my lower back it is just crippling. A wee walk would be lovely tho :) just getting out actually.

Am too lazy to cook dins. Too lazy!

Hope you doing ok boo!

OP posts:
booboomonster · 12/05/2013 17:43

Pity we don't live nearer, wild we could hook up and commiserate together! I'd love to go the beach actually! I'm afraid my 'nice things' will consist of walks, cinema/ watching a film at home, baths and coffees in coffee shops. (These are not really things I normally have time to do). I might try and do some quilting too, if I can be bothered - I feel a bit like I don't want to start something I can't finish. But maybe I need to start and tempt fate!

Sorry to hear walking not good wild - can you bounce on the ball instead?

Been out twice today and it's totally miserable - windy this am and rainy now, and cold! Bah, humbug (etc).
Thanks ice so do I but I fear it is not going to be productive. I do feel very achy down below and round the back, but not hopeful given it's all been quite stop start so far. Now I am thinking back to my original due date (was changed by scan) which was 16 May. Maybe nowt will happen til after that. This also means induction date is even earlier...
oh well. Focus on free time!!

Hmm I like the idea of brownie making. I might try some new cooking one day. I'm going to clean the house on one day (not particularly fun but hopefully lots of all fours action which might get things going), Quilts one day and walking most days....

WildeRumpus · 12/05/2013 19:08

boo your nice things are really lovely :) would love to go to the cinema!

I do bounce on my ball indeed! Does naff all tho is comfy for a bit.

I keep thinking about my original due date (from my dates) which was the 17/18th. Am being really impatient and .I know this but it is hard not to zone in on it all when on maternity leave I think?! And it is all rather exciting... And really bizarre. Ds just exploded into our lives so is weird having to wait! Am back to symptom spotting like a crazy mo fo :)

Quilting boo! Fab!

Am watching the voice. Is hilarious!

WildeRumpus · 12/05/2013 20:32

Omg I just had a contraction while filling up my hot water bottle. A real bastarding painful one that made me feel sick and dizzy. Am so scared of the pain now I have been reminded! And have decided I don't want to.go into labour anytime soon at all :) he can stay put!

I am.going to watch the killing now with.my husband and try and forget about how painful.contractions can be.

Skeered! And I have a high pain threshold... Erk.

OP posts:
icequeenkate · 12/05/2013 20:48

Oooooooo! Grin

booboomonster · 12/05/2013 22:17

Good luck wild !!

WildeRumpus · 13/05/2013 08:09

Am still pregnant! :) nasty contractions for about an hour after I posted but then disappeared! Was so grateful tho to get into bed and not have that pain... Owchy!

Ds wants to play camping. I honestly cannot bear the idea of having to pretend to camp on the floor... We are going out asap!

Happy.Monday all :) is my due date tomorrow! Can't believe it!

How ya diddling boo?

OP posts:
booboomonster · 13/05/2013 09:01

Nowt happening here. Was up in the night but only cos the DDs woke up. No contractions, nothing. All pains gone. Oh well. Hope you have a nice day, wild (and everyone else)!

Sheldonella · 13/05/2013 11:58

Ooh, sounds like things are getting exciting! I really feel for you though, I was going bonkers when I was waiting. Hopefully it won't be too long for either of you.

booboomonster · 13/05/2013 17:16

thanks sheldon!

Just realised if we hang on til nearer the weekend I will have DH off with me on paternity leave for half term. Silver lining etc...

booboomonster · 14/05/2013 07:55

Happy due date wild!

WildeRumpus · 14/05/2013 08:49

Thanks boo.

Am grumpy today. Want a baby!

No sign.of anything your end then boo?

Arf I want to go back to bed! Must. Rouse. Self. :)

OP posts:
icequeenkate · 14/05/2013 09:13

Gosh. You two must be at that 'I want a baby and I want it NOW - I don't really care how, I just want it OUT' stage?Wink Many sympathies. It will happen, maybe today!

Question: did either of you BF to this stage (16wks tomorrow)? I've only done it once and it was so awful I can't remember anything. So, did your boobs keep feeling really full (that omg I need you to feed fullness) or did they settle into a routine? DS4 is now sleeping thro from 8-6ish, having had both boobs and a bottle after bath time.in the morning they're not 'full' and I'm wondering if my supply is dwindling. Not ready to stop completely yet. Any ideas how I can increase supply? DH says am not eating enough calories. So here we all are: Brew and Biscuit. Grin

Good luck.

(Waves to Twenty)

WildeRumpus · 14/05/2013 09:50

Yes ice am fed up today. Back really sore after looking after ds yesterday which is, tbh, the main source of my fed upness.

Re bfing I fed ds till he was two. After about 6 weeks they settle down and so by now, unless you miss a feed your boobs are used to giving, they will always feel soft :) is a sign your boobs and baby are in happy sync :) well done!

Don't worry about calories, your body will provide for the baby before you so would be unlikely to affect supply unless you are properly properly malnourished. Obvs look after yourself tho!

OP posts:
WildeRumpus · 14/05/2013 09:54

Ps. You are not suffering dwindling supply, soft boobs are happy boobs. However, if you were your baby will start suckling more, probably at night, to get your supply up. They tend to do this for about three nights (oof) before a growth spurt, is veer clever! Hth x

Happy due date wilde! I am wildly jealous of your imminent new arrival, 27+5 now, heartburn, SPD and still 12+2 to go to reach EDD!!!

Had a lovely week away last week, just in west of Ireland so not lying on a beach or anything but v relaxing all the same. Work is totally hectic at the min and will pretty much stay that way til the end of June but mat leave starts from 8th July so holding out til then!!! Hope everyone is going well xx
