Seeing as practically all of us have now got pg, here is a new home for all of us to come to carry on chatting after getting the BFP after our mcs. Today we are pregnant! :)

Just quickly posting to say great news, snow! Really pleased for you, hope all continues well!

I had some kicking the last couple of days so haven't had to see emergency midwife. Still worried though - am going to be nervous til babe is born methinks!

Am super busy this week, too much on really, but, tough!
Hope everyone's well!

SantasWildeRumpus · 19/12/2012 21:26

That's great news! They could only find out what was up with my bleeding at 15 weeks once the placenta was visible even tho bleeding regularly from 6 weeks. So pleased for you.

SantasWildeRumpus · 19/12/2012 21:29

Foof if your dates are right you would usually see a hb at 7 weeks. Good luck!

LittleMissSnowShine · 20/12/2012 13:09

Foof - Dated at 6+3 y'day and u could def see a heartbeat! It was a super hi-tec amazeballs new scanner tho Wink good luck for next week!

boo - great to hear baby is moving plenty for you again, im sure he or she has just been having a little growth spurt and using up all energy on getting bigger instead of kicking mummy for a couple of days!

Thanks everyone! Bit crampy prob from getting prodded with scanner y'day but no bleeding since Monday, fx it stays that way now

Sheldonella · 21/12/2012 14:01

Hi everyone, hope you are all doing well and have finished/are finishing work for xmas now. Today is my last day and I am so ready for it!
Unfortunately yesterday at my 28 week appointment I found out I had failed the Lucozade challenge test so have to have a full gestational diabetes test on 27th :( This means I can't eat whatever I like over xmas and have to be all healthy and then start fasting on boxing day for the test the next morning. Oh well, I just really hope I don't have diabetes and am of course worried that I do and that is something to do with my mc in March.

SantasWildeRumpus · 22/12/2012 10:42

aw sheldon that sucks. You can eat a whole load of cheese tho or are you on a super special diet? My MIL is diabetic and eats a LOT of cheese (eats hunks of it, is a bit odd actually!). and you can can have special diabetic choccy and cakes if you use that splendour-type stuff. Bugger about fasting. Is glad they know tho and can monitor and look after you and the baby Thanks

Am working this morning, and tomorrow morning then hope to finish for xmas! is not brain work any more tho, just writing out references! Still got to get DHs stocking pressies too which is going to involve a scary last minute trip to Asda for pants, socks and miniature booze (lucky husband, what fine gifts)

My sis is coming to visit in a min which is fab as I haven't seen her since getting pg as she is ill a lot. She dotes on DS so will be great to have some fun company for him!

hope everyone is ok.

Sheldonella · 22/12/2012 17:18

Thanks wilde I've calmed down now and fortunately I love cheese more than chocolate. Will be fab finishing your work for Xmas, hope you get it done and can totally relax. Not long for your scan now is it?

LittleMissSnowShine · 22/12/2012 18:18

Last couple of days...so sick!!! Stuck in.pjs all day today...i think at 6+6 HG might be about to make an appearance. Living on.ginger ale and tiny bites of ritz crackers...so i wont be eating whatever i (usually) like over xmas sheldon!! Glad they are monitoring you tho, a few friends of mine have had gestational diabetes and everything has turned out fine xx

SantasWildeRumpus · 23/12/2012 16:57

glad you are ok sheldon. Whole cheeseboard for you to scoff then :) I would normally have emptied the tub of celebrations that have been in the house for over a week by now but instead I am also seeking out the cheese! I have, as a token to 'being good' pg'ness avoided the brie (tho am sure tescos brie will not cause me any mishaps!) but I have heard stilton is fine so have eatena ton of that... and am not reading about any other cheeses so I can eat them too :) is that terrible?!!

Yay snow (in a sort-of way!). 6+6 is when I started feeling rough as rats too. I hope it isn't HG and if it is get thee to the dr for your meds asap won't you - I know I am teaching you to suck eggs but the quicker you get medicated the quicker you can manage it Xmas Grin good luck!

Am doing my last few hours of work before xmas. PhD will be completely finished. Mental Xmas Grin. Baby kicking lots these days which is lovely! Am also getting 'let down' feelings in my boobies which is frightening me, am probably going to start leaking soon! tho, of course, am still spotting. Scan on Fri so will be good to see what is gaan on in there. hope, hope, hope my baby is healthy then I might start to relax and enjoy the pregnancy.

Good luck for thursday scans foof and boo!

happy christmas all! Thanks

LittleMissSnowShine · 24/12/2012 11:24

wilde - can't believe you're still working lol im in pjs wrapping pressies with muppets xmas carol on tv! FX for you for Friday, hope the spotting is nothing to worry about, let down feelings sound like a good sign :)

I am, as you can imagine, still swinging between being really happy about seeing our wee bean in the scan last Wed and concerned by every symptom change. I'm still feeling really sick and ropy from about 2am - 8am, waking up every couple of hours wretching and finding it very hard to sleep. But last day or two it's been kind of ok during the day so I'm panicking that I should be sicker Hmm Boobs still sore(ish) and no more bleeding so just trying to trust everything is ok but also trying not to think about it much so if our next scan next week isn't good news I'll be prepared. Agh pregnancy stress!!!

Happy Christmas to everyone, it's a strange end to a strange year in which many of us got pregnant and lost our babies and then got pregnant again, and in the case of one have had to deal with heartbreaking loss for a second time and in the case of many of the rest of us have been so anxious and worried. Hope 2013 brings us all the things we're hoping for! That would be a great present from Santa x

Sheldonella · 24/12/2012 12:06

Merry Christmas everyone! Thanks for all the support and friendship this year - it has helped me through a lot and I really appreciate it Thanks Well said snow I hope 2013 brings good news for all of us :)

snow Both yay and grr for the sickness. It all sounds like a good sign so fx fx fx for you.

wilde Glad you are finished with the PhD! Massive well done to you for getting all of that done, especially given the events of the year. Yay for the kicks and the let down feelings. Not sure what that feels like but my boobs have leaked a couple of times recently.

one, boo, ice, foof and chuckle I hope you are all enjoying some down time now and will have a lovely xmas too Wine

Right, must wrap presents before MIL arrives!

FoofFighter · 24/12/2012 14:34

So bloody tired, averaged about 2.5hrs last night. Been rushing around like a blue-arsed fly, OH invited 2 guests last minute for dinner tomorrow - he doesn't appreciate it meant another frigging shopping trip! Angry

Wishing all you lovely ladeez a very merry Christmas, take it easy, don't overdo it, let people help! Fingers crossed for a lovely year next year and we can put the horrors of this one behind us x

SantasWildeRumpus · 26/12/2012 12:45

sheldon ooh leaky boobs!

hope everyone had a lovely chrimbo :) hope sickness didn't ruin it for you snow. Bieng worried is par for the course for a while yet I am afraid, but you must try and believe it is all ok unless you have serious reason to think otherwise (I can't do this myself btw!). I am downloading itunes to put some music on my new fancy ipod so thought I would pop in. I gave up my anti-apple stance when I realised I miss my music (all other MP3 players have died)! Our chrimbo was peaceful and chaotic in equal measure, sinply by having a three year old who was bought loads of different noisy fireman sam goodies by evil relatives :)

am back to work tomorrow for three days for the final read through of the thesis (before hand in on Monday). Hurrah, hurrah!

and am now 20 weeks woot! baby been quiet over xmas and was getting worried but is back again today and my bump has grown - maybe it was having a growth spurt Grin

take care y'all good luck for thursday scans Thanks

LittleMissSnowShine · 26/12/2012 21:07

wilde - in laws got me a new ipod as part of xmas pressie, so excited to have one again after last one went awol months ago!! Congrats on reaching the 20 week milestone Grin

foof - sympathies on unexpected dinner guests. I am not feeling v social at all this xmas beyond family, turned down night out with friends tonight. Like you, feeling wrecked and not sleeping well at night...all par for the course with early pg. Apparently! Really don't remember this with DS until I was about 34 weeks and having trouble getting comfy at night...

Hope everyone had a lovely xmas! Mine was brilliant - really amazing to see DS 'get' it for the first time, great to see family, DH cooked a lovely dinner, so relaxing and fun. Sickness has kind of disappeared last couple of days, still feeling queasy and don't have a big appetite but it's comparatively better. Which is, naturally, stressing me out! Keep poking myself in boobs every few hours, just to make sure they are still sore and getting as much rest as poss being off work etc. Scan on Wed next week for me, good luck anyone with scans before that Xmas Grin

booboomonster · 27/12/2012 13:43

Hi everyone and Merry Christmas! Sorry I've been so quiet - leading up to Christmas was sooo busy.

Anyway, had our scan this morning and all looked great. All measurements came back fine and heart and blood flow looked good. Really relieved. I know that it's not over until I am holding the baba in my arms but having been quite worried recently it was very reassuring. Also found I have anterior placenta so that would explain the sporadic kicking. And... it's another girl! I was convinced it was going to be a boy and I think, well, know, that DH would have liked a boy, but I am chuffed. I think I would have been genuinely happy either way as long as all healthy. Mad though - 3 girls for me (4 for DH as I have a DSD).
The girls are staying with my mum tonight (I wanted space for scan in case of bad news) so we now have some amazing free time!! Think I will just collapse though - been quite stressed with worry and busy Xmas and anniversary of Dad's death.

Anyway, sorry for me me me post! Wanted to echo sheldon's sentiments and thank you all for support - I too hope 2013 brings wonderful news for us all! Hope you got good news today foof.

FoofFighter · 27/12/2012 14:10
Grin

WE HAVE A HEARTBEAT!

FoofFighter · 27/12/2012 14:12

oh in my excitement I didn't even read your post Boob - a girl, wowee that's fab :)

booboomonster · 27/12/2012 17:56

Great news, foof!

LittleMissSnowShine · 28/12/2012 07:52

Hurray boo and foof! Great news from you both!! And a third girl boo! Wow! Going to be lots of stealing borrowing all your stuff in about ten years time Grin

I'm 7+5 now, feeling sick again, tired, boobs are sore and no more bleeding but keep stupidly reminding myself that everything was going fine the last time til 8 weeks. Next scan on Wed tho - having to avoid friends at the mo, too early to tell them and to hard to explain feeling too sick to go for food, not drinking and pressing need to be in bed by half 9 every night lol

WildeRumpus · 28/12/2012 08:00

Congrats guys! So so happy for you and your healthy babies! And another girlie boo how lovely :)

Am having our scan today but forgot about it so am more looking forward o it than worried. The baby punches and kicks at the same time now so I know it ise there alright! And if there is something wrong I tell myself finding out now so we can work to make them ok is only a good thing :)

Also have completely finished my thesis so am a stay at home mum now! How lucky lucky am i?! Super keen to do some volunteering for a few hours a week but with moving house i won't be much use so must lay about instead :)

Oh god typing this on my phone is a nightmare! Sorry for typos!

LittleMissSnowShine · 28/12/2012 09:53

wilde - congrats on finishing thesis!! And good luck at scan :))

Argh cant get out of bed this morning after wretching and puking guts up a few hours ago - can hear dh and ds pottering about together downstairs and i want to go down.there too but head spinning!!!

booboomonster · 28/12/2012 15:28

Ooh snow all sounds hopeful - the longer things go on the better, irrespective of last time. Fingers crossed! (Sorry you're feeling crap though!)

Good luck today wild!! Let us know!

LittleMissSnowShine · 28/12/2012 17:04

Had some more bleeding today grrrrr was just starting to believe maybe it was just implantation bleeding in weeks 5&6 but I'm 7+5 now so feeling a bit Confused but not long to go now til next scan anyway. Hope your scan went well wilde!

WildeRumpus · 28/12/2012 19:34

maybe it's your pukiness just dislodging a bit of old blood. Straining can cause spotting you know.

My scan was fine-a-doodle dandy, thanks :) and we are having another scampy boy! I am delighted, I adore my boy and having two would be marvellous :) He was very wriggly and well, I can't believe it tbh.

And my placenta has moved so is not low-lying at all any more! Is completely out of the way. So WHY I am getting spotting most days i do not know. Hope that gives you some hope snow. The scan lady said that some people just do spot through their pregnancies (not a sniff of spotting with DS (- DS1?!)). Anyway, am fed up of it so am starting yoga and going swimming. I need to move!

be well ladies. am off to scoff pizza and chips to celebrate scan and being a lady of leisure now.

booboomonster · 28/12/2012 22:03

hurrah wild so glad all good with your scan. And congrats on a boy! It is amazing to see it all looking so proper baby-like, isn't it!?

snow sorry to hear about spotting - but like wild says - it can be normal for some pregnancies. Keep your spirits up, when is your next scan?
