Seeing as practically all of us have now got pg, here is a new home for all of us to come to carry on chatting after getting the BFP after our mcs. Today we are pregnant! :)

Snow I know it is impossible to stop worrying but just wanted to tell you I had exactly the same thing with this one. I didn't get the last of it until 8 weeks. I know it is so scary :( Fx that it is nothing and I hope it stays away over the weekend.

FoofFighter · 14/12/2012 16:38

Snow, I have everything crossed for you x

SantasWildeRumpus · 14/12/2012 20:05

Thinking of you snow. I have had pink and red spotting every few days since week 6 with this pg due to low lying placenta so it doesn't have to mean the end. They couldn't see the placenta till I was 15 weeks so until then it was just a very worrying 'one of those things'. Hopefully is just one of those things for you too.

FoofFighter · 15/12/2012 14:18

Any news?

booboomonster · 15/12/2012 15:08

snow really sorry to hear this, but there is still hope, as the others say. I'm rooting for you! Really hope it works out, keep us posted. x

FoofFighter · 15/12/2012 16:56

Gpoing out for my xmas do tonight, how to explain not eating my pre-ordered pate starter and not drinking?! I shall maybe have to be sly, everyone knows I like a lovely bottle of wine [hic]

LittleMissSnowShine · 16/12/2012 13:30

No more bleeding since Friday, feeling very tired and sick today, hoping those are good signs. Still going to phone midwife in the morning though, red bleeding is rarely a good sign no matter how light it is, so if they can give me an early scan and do a blood test for me it'd be good. Because my mmc happened at about 8.5 weeks pg, and I had spotting and patchy bleeding at about 9 weeks I'm feeling pretty :( Hospital kept saying oh well, the bleeding isn't heavy, you're not cramping, you still feel sick, those are all good signs. But when I went in for my booking scan at 10.5 weeks the baby was gone :( I wished I'd pushed harder to have a scan at 9 weeks when bleeding had started but I didn't and even though they couldn't have done anything I would have found out nearly 2 weeks sooner. So this time I'm trying to stay hopeful but kind of preparing for the worst if that makes sense? Taking DS to see Santa this afternoon though Xmas Smile have to keep festive as much as poss!

Hope you're all well and Thanks Thanks for all the well wishes!

foof - how was your Christmas party?? Did anyone notice your untouched pate?

FoofFighter · 16/12/2012 15:30

never mind the untouched pate, as soon as I sat down someone said you're pregnant and I was too flabberghasted to deny it! How did she know?!!

Totally understand where you are coming from Snow, I don't like the way they tell you oh you have symptoms it's fine, the homrones causing the symptoms don't just suddenly stop after a mc anyway, I still felt symptomy 2 weeks after my mc in April :(
Hope you can convince them to scan you x

LittleMissSnowShine · 16/12/2012 19:42

Psychic work colleague!! Yeah the same thing happened to me, symptoms continued even tho i had lost baby at 8.5 weeks, didnt stop feeling sick til after i'd had erpc done. So I know the fact im.tired with sore boobs and feeling queasy doesnt mean anything, esp after bleeding, until i've seen scan... Kept really busy seeing friends, family and taking DS to see santa this weekend which has been great for keeping.my.mind off it but sending DS to a party on his own tonight cos i'm dead on.my feet and i need to wash hair, get into pjs and watch a bit of tv to chill out before work / hospital tomorrow.

Hope everyone is well! xxx

booboomonster · 16/12/2012 20:04

Good luck tomorrow, snow - can you get an early scan anyway? Where I am you can just turn up to the epu... really hope all's well. I know what you and foof are saying about symptoms, but it would seem worse if you had no/ fading symptoms, so the fact that your symptoms are still strong is better than it could be!

How funny that someone guessed, foof - did they tell you what gave you away?

I haven't felt any movement for a few days now... bit worrying, although I'm not feeling proper kicks yet and I think it can be a bit on / off at this stage. Would like to feel something though... I have had a ridiculously busy few days so maybe I've just not noticed?

Hope everyone else is well!

LittleMissSnowShine · 16/12/2012 21:13

boo - The way our local hospitals work is that you first need a referral from your GP before you get anywhere near EPU or antenatal care. It takes nearly 3 weeks (!!!) to get a GP appointment in our surgery (really need to change drs, hate that place!) so I won't even see GP about getting referred to the hospital for this pregnancy until this coming Thurs, tho I phoned as soon as I got my bfp a few weeks ago. From last time round, tho, I have the two midwives' mobile numbers though, so I phoned them. Either they or GP can refer you to EPU if they think it's needed, otherwise you have to go to A&E and be prepared to wait. And wait. So when I spoke to midwife on Fri she told me unless bleeding got heavier and I needed to go to casualty, to give her a ring again on Monday morning - I think they will still bring me in for an early scan even though the bleeding was only on Friday because of the mmc in the summer and the fact that the blood was red, only question is whether they can fit me in tomorrow or not. I keep swinging between being convinced that it's def bad news and trying to just come to terms with that and then thinking lots of ppl have light bleeding in early pg, doesn't necessarily mean the worst. Groan!!

Sorry baby isn't moving too much for you - I remember 'tricks' like eating something sugary and waiting ten mins always used to set DS off into overdrive if I was worried he hadn't been moving much. As you said, it's probably just that you have been busy and baby has maybe just been resting a bit. Hope you get some good strong kicks tonight when you go to bed :)

SantasWildeRumpus · 17/12/2012 08:13

Hey all! Work pressure significAntly eased so hopefully won't be as stressed any more :)

one am so glad your bleeding has stopped! Could have been anything and if you are tired that is such a good your body is working hard on a.pregnancy. hope you get the scan you want - could you go.private at all?

boo I will go for about three days without any movement which freaks me out too! Hot choc gets it going these days! If I wear over bump trousers am less likely to feel it as it has so much.room.

ice hope you are ok

Had ds' birthday on sat which was so much fun! Decorating tree tonight yay.tho am finding putting lights up etc a lot more taxing than usual! Scan a week Fri eek.

Good luck today one!

Sorry for typos am on my new phone!

LittleMissSnowShine · 17/12/2012 11:57

Phoned midwife this morning and she said that since bleeding had eased off over weekend she thought it would be a good idea to wait a couple of days for a scan because if they brought me in this morning and found a heartbeat that would be great but it would be no guarantee bleeding wouldn't just start again. So they are going to bring me in on Wed morning - it's a bit annoying to have to wait a few days but it's not like i'm in pain or bleeding heavily so i'm not an emergency case and there's people who need checked out more urgently than I do so can't really complain too much. I'm just steeling myself for it being bad news though, good news would be an amazing surprise but i don't want to expect anything...Thanks for listening to me complaining everyone!!

FoofFighter · 17/12/2012 12:55

Hello everyone :)

Been brave and called EPU to arrange scan - 27th Dec first appt. I hope and pray that everything is ok this time around.

SantasWildeRumpus · 17/12/2012 13:15

snow am such a prat I keep calling you one for some reason. I don't know why this is but a bit of my brain is definitely missing! Sorry one for namedropping you accidentally, and glad you are ok snow. No reason not to think everything is ok.

booboomonster · 18/12/2012 09:28

Hi y'all
Yes the on off movement thing is a bit disturbing! I am worrying quite a lot about it - scan is looming too (27th too, foof) so that's making me nervous. I actually cannot for the life of me recall when I had movement the last 2 times - I think I just didn't doubt those pregnancies at all, just got on with it! Sigh.

Anyway, bad luck snow having to wsit til Wednesday - honestly, it doesn't help your stress levels does it?!! But no more bleeding sounds very hopeful! Fingers crossed!!

foof good idea about the scan. It's a pity we have to wait til after Xmas - I have a feeling my anxiety is going to cloud Xmas day. Though its not a good day for us as a family, as it is.

Anyway, hope everyone has a good day. I'm taking my mum to the theatre tonight to thank her for having the DDs a couple of weeks ago.
Should be fun!

SantasWildeRumpus · 18/12/2012 10:39

boo it you are a bit anxous is there a MW drop-in clinic you can go to to have a listen-in? Maybe you have an anterior placenta cushioning the kicks.

Sheldonella · 18/12/2012 10:49

Hi all. Sorry for quietness, been mega busy and also very tired. Still got xmas shopping and preparation to do but there aren't enough hours in the day where I'm awake enough. Still, maternity leave is properly arranged now and I will be part time in the new year and finish early February so it will all get better soon. Not really much else to report. I didn't back from the hospital about the diabetes test so I'm assuming I don't have it but I have a midwife appointment on Thursday so I can discuss it then. The discomfort is getting worse too and I'm having braxton hicks now but I'm taking it that all is working as it should.
snow How are you feeling today? I'm glad to hear you have a scan arranged but it is a shame you have had to wait. Have you had any more bleeding? Please don't lose hope - it has happened to several of us and we are still doing well. I think my body is just more prone to it since my mc as it happened a few times up to 8 weeks. I know you cant stop worrying though Thanks
foof Glad you have got a scan arranged too. That is quite funny about your colleague. I wonder how they guessed?
wilde Yay for less work pressure! I hope you are winding down for a nice xmas scan. Scan soon for you too, will be thinking of all of you. Did you get your tree up?
boo Sorry to hear about your movement stress. Mine wasn't so frequent before 20 weeks because I have an anterior placenta. Could you have one too? Scan soon to put your mind at rest. Have a nice time at the theatre.
ice I hope you are feeling better now. Not long for you now is it? Have you got everything sorted?
I'm having nesting panic today. I have scared myself (for no good reason) about babies coming early so am trying to be as prepared as possible. Also having a nappy wobble - have terry squares but wondering if I should have got some of the new fancier all in one types. My frugalness gets the better of me sometimes.
Have a great day all with relaxing and not too much worry Brew.

LittleMissSnowShine · 18/12/2012 19:52

Life on hold until after scan tomorrow! Confused I told my boss and another girl in work so I have the morning off tomorrow to go to the hospital while DS is at MIL's and if it's not good news tomorrow they will cover for me not turning up to the xmas staff lunch tomorrow afternoon (not great timing for festivities alas!). And then after tomorrow I'm off work for Christmas whatever happens, so I'm off to see Santa at the zoo on Thurs with DS and SIL and then out for tea that evening with all the in-laws, DH and DS for SIL's birthday. So no matter how tomorrow morning turns out at the hospital at least I have loads of plans on Thurs to keep me busy. Haven't had any more bleeding, still feeling very sick, boobs still sore so despite myself I am feeling just a little bit hopeful but no more than that really. Worst thing is that the scan I had the last time was at 7 weeks and all was fine, but 10 days later (roughly) I had mmc that wasn't picked up til 10.5 weeks. So even if by some miracle things are ok tomorrow I will still be a certifiable basketcase for next 6 weeks and beyond!!

boo - Agree with wilde, if there's a drop in clinic you could go to just for some reassurance that would really take a load off your mind. Even if your area doesn't have these you could always give midwife / antenatal unit in hospital a ring and just say you're a bit concerned and they should be able to get you in for a quick check up. Nothing like peace of mind, esp over the holidays

foof - good luck with your scan!

sheldonella - v jealous of you going on maternity leave in Feb! Braxton Hicks can be a real pain but at least they are a reminder that the baby will be here with you soon. Well soonish!

LittleMissSnowShine · 18/12/2012 19:54

PS) wilde - I know, i've noticed you have me and one morphing into one entity lol PhD stress! Very understandable!

FoofFighter · 18/12/2012 20:35

Good luck for tomorrow x

SantasWildeRumpus · 19/12/2012 11:18

good luck today SNOW! so sorry about the name thing but will be better now.

hope you are ok ice and norovirus has left now?

LittleMissSnowShine · 19/12/2012 14:38

Well girls went for scan this morning, back in EPU where I was in July finding out I'd had mmc, with same midwife, and initially (i'd forgotten about the whole needing a full bladder thing) she had the scanner at the wrong angle and while she could see the sac that was all that was showing up to begin with and I was just completely ready for that to be that. A bit of shifting around and there was little bean and a heartbeat! Great news obviously but they still aren't sure what's causing the on/off bleeding since nothing obvious showed up on the scan. Haven't had any since y'day afternoon and midwife was tentatively optimistic that at 6 weeks it could still be implantation bleeding. She's booked me in again on 2nd Jan though just to keep an eye on things. Off to GP tomorrow to get my official hospital referral sorted out. Feeling hopeful and nervous all at the same time, meeting my mum for a (decaff) coffee this afternoon and then heading off to get my hair done - keep the good mood going!

Hope you're all doing well Xmas Grin

Sheldonella · 19/12/2012 14:43

That's great snow :) They never found out what was causing my bleeding this time either but I'm just happy it stopped. I hope you can have a nice xmas now and everything continues to be positive.

FoofFighter · 19/12/2012 19:21

great news Snow :) really happy for you x how many weeks/days are you now? Trying to work out if I will see a heartbeat net week, I reckon should do, will be 7+2?
