Hope you feel better soon vickles.

wilde this is also the day I found out I'd miscarried last time. Hope you're able to relax a bit more now you're past that point.

Should we start a seperate stats thread, most ante-natal clubs do, that way we don't have to keep going back through pages if you want to look at it. We could also add ages and where we're from?

bunny I don't see why not I actually know most of what I will buy and won't buy because I wanted to figure out the financial side.

seven good idea for a ats page would make it much more organised and easier to find.

I'm starting to feel Ok in the morning/ early afternoon but ideally need an afternoon nap and feel awful in the evenings. I'm still finding my stomach prefers to be empty otherwise MS is worse.

Stats thread here. I copied the most recent list, new ladies and anyone not on it will still need to add themselves. I've also added my age and location.

Hi maybe start with having a REALLY full bladder and press firmly aiming just below the pubic bone to start, a 2MHz Doppler is more sensitive than a 3MHz as well, use plenty of gel and really slow movements until you pick up a fast heartbeat, keep fairly central otherwise the loud whooshing from your iliac arteries will drown out baby noise and don't be disheartened if u don't find it yet, I think I was really lucky and knew what I was listening for to find it so early, but it is so magic if you do find it Grin

Vickles · 07/10/2012 21:39

Re: buying baby stuff, we have nothing! Despite this being our 4th child. I've given it all away, honestly thinking we weren't having anymore!
I've been looking on eBay locally, but am just too worried at buying anything, not just to jinx, but we are already busting at the seems storage wise.
However, I was in the local charity shop, and I got a Moses basket with a stand for £1!

RTchoke · 08/10/2012 08:35

Morning Ladies,

I'm having a little panic this morn. For 24 hours I've felt fine, no morning sickness and hardly even tired. Obviously this is lovely BUT my morning sickness was bad, and with DCs 1&2 I never got a break, so I'm a little worried. It's made me think about my scan last week which dated the baby as 5 days younger then I know it to be. I know my dates because DH and I weren't trying and took one chance. The doc said not to worry as there was a good heartbeat and it's hard to date accurately at 7 weeks. But now I'm worrying.

Just wanted to get that off my chest. I know I should just be happy that I feel OK.

I hope everyone else is good this morning.

LittleBairn · 08/10/2012 09:08

rt I was feeling this way yesterday my symptoms have improved greatly (although seem to kick in at night ) and it's made me paranoid too but I wondering if the baby goes through growth cycles?
I want to enjoy feeling better but it's making me worry.

arf bunny I only bought stuff when I was 30 something weeks with DS! It just felt so surreal! Won't buy or look at anything till 20 weeks just because is not my style to do anything before know gender and start to feel movements etc. TBH we have everything and then some so will just get a couple of little sleepsuits for newbie as and when.

rt try not to worry and just keep an eye on your symptoms? 7 weeks is a terrible for accurate dating. Remember that scans at 7 weeks are give or take 5 days; that sperm can hang around to catch an egg anything up to nearly a week after dtd; implantation can occur later than the average 8-10 days; the baby may have had a growth spurt AFTER your scan; or you might simply have a small baby. hth x

so bloody tired still! I can't seem to sleep at night and get my good sleep in the morning which is great at the weekend but rubbish in the week! zzzzzzzzz. Tried to do an online shop just now but feel really meh about food so thin it was a bit potato-based and lacked anything that could make an actual meal!

got to go and do some painting with DS now. how can even doing that make me feel exhausted?!?!

wilderumpus · 08/10/2012 10:14

I have no ms symptoms and I'm 8 weeks tomorrow Confused Just thought that I'd also share that I'm worried about the lack of symptoms!

I've got two girls and a boy. I was barely nauseous with the girls.. The only time I felt it was when I was a passenger in the car, or if I'd just eaten too much?
However, with my boy, I was nauseous from day one for two thirds of the pregnancy.. I just learnt to deal with it, and got used to it.
I'm as sick as a dog this time..... maybe another boy?

Vickles · 08/10/2012 11:52

Double bleurgh! Grin

seven77 · 08/10/2012 11:52

Also no symptoms here either, I don't normally suffer too badly with sickness but I'm normally having cravings by now.

LittleBairn · 08/10/2012 12:00

peardrop not everyone gets MS you could be one of the lucky 25%. I haven't been sick often it's more a constant feeling like I might be sick.

On the subject of baby buying I was thinking Janurary sales ( online mind you can't handle real shopping at the best of times) might be a good time to start buying.

peardrop2 · 08/10/2012 12:17

LittleB 25% doesn't seem very many but I guess that is enough to cling onto Grin Thank you for giving me something positive to think about rather then telling me not to worry! I will be finding out the sex early Jan so I'll definitely be hitting the online sales!!

I hadn't even thought of the January sales! Not that we'll need much. One benefit to a close age gap I guess. Oh, unless it's a girl and then we might need to buy the odd cute girl thing :). Although, we're not planning on finding out the sex this time so neutral boring new cute things it will be? Or would you get a boy and a girl outfit for first clothes (by outfit I mean sleep suit!)?

After seeing you all talk about various foods and struggling to actually read the words without feeling sick, I have finally found something I can eat. And like. Well 2 things actually: Lightly salted Kettle Chips AND Lemon Swirl Cheesecake. It is fantastic Grin.

LittleBairn · 08/10/2012 12:51

pear I know I was the same before MS hit, but hey someone needs to be in the 25%! You'll be the envy of the thread. Grin

I'm the total opposite I don't believe in temping fate. I think of all those women in time past with their dowries and treasure chests they often contained hand made items for babies made years before being married.
I have a few knitted Items knitted and plan to crack on soon with more knitting.
At the moment I just can't be bothered I wished I had knitted a lot more baby items before I got my BFP.

My boobs seem to be growing but I haven't had any pain, they seem I dunno fuller more rounded, but it's hard to tell they are naturally large.

Morning all.

What a bleepin miserable morning it is too! Well, raining in London anyhoo. Fortunately, my day off so planning a loooong snuggle under a blanket this afternoon with soup, last night's X Factor and something else thoughtless.

Had my booking appt this morning and - eek - they've revised my EDD to 3 May, which means I'm 10+3, not 9+3. All based on my LMP. Explained I have long cycle etc and fairly sure the week I conceived but this fell on deaf ears. Pretty sure I'll be revised back to 10 May come the scan - two weeks today!!

DH went above and beyond yesterday, taking his attentive-hubbie-of-preggers-nutjob role very seriously. Was salivating at the idea of pickled onion Monster Munch and next thing I know it he's got his shoes on and made a half hour round trip to the shop. Bless 'im.

I fear I may come to abuse this kindness...

It's quite sunny in central Scotland, I'm just about to go and give the back garden it's final mow for this year.

kittykatskumkwat · 08/10/2012 13:22

Baby knows best 10 Wink

wilderumpus · 08/10/2012 13:22

pear never fear i didn't have ms with DS at all. I felt queasy once after a long day at ikea when about 8 weeks... and I felt a bit car sick sometimes... that was it! feeling rough a lot with this pg is weird for me! (only queasy tho, not been sick or owt).

beaver yay for booking in :) dr tried to revise my edd using lmp too but i wouldn't let him as that would have brought me forward by 2 weeks (reaaaalllly long cycle - didn't ovulate till cd 30) so we made up a new lmp. he didn't appreciate it but i didn't want a dating scan at 9 weeks like they made me with DS. and am glad your DH is looking after you well!

little am with you re: tempting fate. what bastard fate would be to strike you down for knitting! i would crochet sommat but what does a May baby need like that?! inspiration please! :) I was thinking a blanket maybe... then got all paranoid about them getting their fingers stuck in it!

DS has just told me his baby brother or sister is an owl Hmm eek!

wilderumpus · 08/10/2012 13:25

10 the junk thing is SO weird! like, I am trying to have a 'fruit and veg' day, so if am hungry I have to eat fruit and veg instead of toast, crisps etc. however, i have to eat a LOT of fruit to feel anything like as full? An orange just doesn't cut it and am still feeling shaky and off!

need rubbish!
